*wonders how long until hers gets modded*
[/ QUOTE ]
Modded? Why? -
[ QUOTE ]
I do like having War Witch in Pocket D though...
[/ QUOTE ]
"It's okay...I'm not the designated driver..." -
[ QUOTE ]
Yea, a lot of actors have done voice work for video games.
[/ QUOTE ]
Which has nothing to do with CoH as a production unit. Cryptic doesn't promote or feature known talent-actors doing any voice-over work in that game, nor was that Player ever a known actor in the business. Hence the confusion as to why he's even listed there in the first place. Is he now to be given production-credit because his Forum Avatar and Board-name were suddenly lifted and modeled over an NPC, posthumously?
But as stated earlier, Viewers can influence actual entries made into that particular Database, so things like this, well-intentioned as it was... can slip by. -
Yes, it is all true. But what that entry is doing in a Movie/Actor Database, I'll never understand.

On Mercy Island? I'd be surprised if there ere more than 5 or 10 in the whole zone (I'd guess Atlas and Galaxy are the same way).
[/ QUOTE ]
You would be incorrect about that. In Galaxy *alone*, there are close to 40 Spawn locations for Presents. Close to 40... as in we gave up counting at that point. -
[ QUOTE ]
Or... am I the only person that does this?
[/ QUOTE ]
Nope, you are not the only one. When I flew over and approached a lowbie below running after a glowie on the ground, he paused and then I saw a moment later in /Tell: "Hey I was here first!"
I stayed floating in place over the scene with my JP for a moment and then /R: "So are you going to open it or not? You've got plenty more to go to get that badge! I got mine hours ago."
A pause, and a moment later the present stopped glowing. No snowies showed up either, and I flew off. It was 15 minutes later when another /Tell came in: "I have my badge now!! Thanks!!"
Sometimes, you can simply feel when something works out just right. -
<--- Yes, it is definitely 200 *glowies* not how many 'Nice' Inspirations you may receive from them.
-
Fastest time I got 'Toy Collector' on an Alt was 72 minutes. And that was delayed only because some others showed up during the run. 200 is nothing, gang. Yes, repetitious but stay focused on the goal.
-
[ QUOTE ]
I believe it is for 200 nice presents. But not positive.
[/ QUOTE ]
It is for opening 200 Presents total per character played, naughty or nice. -

You may have played with one of us already and not known it.
[/ QUOTE ]
And sometimes... we may know it. -
[ QUOTE ]
How about, "If you build it, they'll still whine"
[/ QUOTE ]
I4's title will be, "Issue 3: The Things we Forgot" -
Game's been out for 9 months and they are *still* looking for Beta-testers.

I have a question. Would my character called Fan-Boy who looks like Superman and his alternate costumes look like Batman and the Hulk against the Terms of Service? He really isnt supposed to be them, just a guy dressed like them. I hope he isn't because I like him a lot.
[/ QUOTE ]
You would have a tough time making that point.. since those identities aren't real Super-Heroes existing as part of any story-arc in the game, and the CoH game itself is not supposed to be a game... or "connected" to any so-called, Real-life. -
[ QUOTE ]
(They should warn people about tin-foil poisoning.)
[/ QUOTE ]
"T-Tin... foil is... poisonous??"
Rushes up from her chair and dashes over to her kitty-cat playing on the couch and rips the crumpled foil-ball out from within its jaws. "Bad Kitty! No..No..No!" -
[ QUOTE ]
Well, structually speaking the 'interiors' of the stores are actually several hundred feet "underground" from the outside store building.
[/ QUOTE ]
Yeah, but that is due to a game-mapping mechanics issue, not an in-game reality concern. We all know you do not actually *walk* into a store or building structure in CoH, you are in fact "transported" to a different set of coordinates on the Zone Map.
It is not like SWG, EQ, etc., does things... where your character actually moves into the interior of a building. I am sure they designed it that way in CoH so those additional coords and textures didn't always have to be loaded in each time to move from one Zone to another. Plus they can have separate Map Servers dedicated for those big Interior Zones.
But this doesn't help those poor TPers in the slightest, and I for one think they are being cheated a bit on the value of their Power. A TPer having to always walk into a building through a doorway?? The nerve. -
[ QUOTE ]
This allows your hero to teleport around corners and buildings, but not into solid objects. (Which includes objects with doors.)
[/ QUOTE ]
Hmmmmm. Why *not* through a building with a door? Surely this cannot be a limitation with the game mechanics, unless of course we are dealing with Zoning issues? It is still hollowed out (not solid) inside the building's foyer, isn't it? "Nightcrawler" would be pretty gimped if he had to follow all those CoH TP Rules. -

I cant believe I got an answer from a Dev, so quick too.
[/ QUOTE ]
I am sure the Devs received a new edict along with a fire-extinguisher today: "Get out there and put out those flames!" -

Looks like video games aren't a boys only club anymore.
It never was.Chicks like me have been playing and gaming for years now. I have been since Pong. :x

Looks like we're in good company, too:
***According to the Entertainment Software Association, about 40 percent of gamers are women. And experts say older women are big gamers online, though they tend to gravitate to casual time-passers like checkers, chess and Scrabble.***
They forgot about Tetris. Still one of my personal favorites while growing up.
