no, not confrontational. i just was pointing out that what you were considering "lightsabers" do not resemble them at all.
-
leo, i think you are taking the whole light...laser...whatever kind of sword thing it is to far. most of what you posted, except for our vangaurd sword, look like elemental swords. they look nothing like George Lucas sabers.
-
possible video card. if you haven't cleaned up your comp lately that might be a factor also. try a disc clean up and defrag before taking it to the shop just to test quick. also, make sure all of your drivers are up to date if you haven't yet.
-
i never said anything about the icons next to the target screen. but +perception should have never been brought into the conversation at all. it has nothing to do with being able to see buff/debuff of anything.

Quote:no one ever said power customization wouldn't happen. they said "at this time it won't happen". same thing for email. why does know one seem to get this right?Because the rest wasn't relevant.
Things change, manpower, circumstances, budgets, directions, devs, etc. So the fact that one dev said that once may not mean anything a year or two from now.
Don't get me wrong, I don't think it will happen. But people said for a while that power customization and emailing items to yourself wouldn't happen either. But they both did.
So making definitive statements like you did aren't really worth much, if anything at all. -
-
Quote:why didn't you quote everything i said? here let me do it for you.I love these definitive statements. Makes the person stating them appear to know what they are talking about, when in reality he/she is guessing just as much as everybody else.
Quote:never going to happen. the dev's have stated that we are lucky to be able to save any at all. don't hold your breath on this one. -
perception has nothing to do with being able to see buffs/debuffs. all it does is let you see foes from farther away and stealthy foes easier.
-
there was exactly 0 reason to start 2 threads about this. with that said, if you want to "farm" with a brute ss/fire/mu or ss/wp/mu. use mid's to get your build for the brute and make sure you are happy with it before you respec into it.

absolutely, positively 100% /unsigned. no further comment.

Quote:first person: Hey, that plant is movingWell I still think the idea needs a bit more work. Like I mentioned before, it doesn't do much as a plant set using particle effects that convey 'plant'. You could essentially give Stone Armor alternate 'plant' options, rename the set 'Nature Armor' and get ultimately the same type feel.
Also, there is no mention of a possible Stalker iteration and with the two aura powers, this might make it difficult (or at least requiring the creation of a new power). That Stalkers already miss out on Shield Defense is bad enough, it'd be nice that people at least acknowledge the AT when creating sets for a melee AT.
second person: no it didn't.
first person: yes it did.
second person: no it di..ASSASSIN STRIKE!!!!
first person: i told yo...ASSASSIN STRIKE!!! -
it may be a little slower but it works for now seeing as it appears to be the video drivers that are causing the problems. and if that is the case, there really is nothing the dev's can do about it i don't think.

i gave you this answer in your other thread. have you tried it yet?
all you have to do, if you don't run in windowed mode, is press the windows button. works every time. then all you have to do is select the instance of CoX you want to run. -
interesting idea, but that is what we have sg chat for. and other chat channels. like i said though, interesting idea but i don't see it happening.
-
yeah, i know. i have been kinda hard on T_C_S, but when you make a "whine" instead of a suggestion(all based on presentation) and you have nothing real to back it up with, this is how responses come.
i see no problem with the accolade requirements as is. what is hard for vills to get is easy hero side and vise versa. -
Quote:bill, before you and i get into it, the OP is a whiner. how about task force commander? can't do that at all solo, well you can but it would be very time consumming. and the villian equivolent can be done solo. so each side has at least one accolade that has to be done with a team. big deal.Sharker -
I said it in the other thread. I don't care if you don't like the OP. But this sort of post doesn't help.
Now, comparing the two accolades - for 5% extra END:
Villainside:
Two explorations and a history, that can be done solo.
A defeat, that can be done solo.
An accomplishment that can be done solo.
An Achivement - that requires a SF.
Heroside:
Exploration, that can be done solo.
History, that can be done solo.
Accomplishment, that can be done solo.
Two defeats, that can be done solo (and typically will be reached through normal gameplay.)
Yes, that seems like a disparity there. Honestly, I don't think I've ever *done* an LRSF. I can completely understand the idea that equivalent rewards should be given equivalent tasks.
There is also historical precedent - Born in Battle used to have a requirement to spend five hours in a PVP zone. No heroside accolade required exposure to PVP for so long - and with them moving the liasons out of the PVP zones, the developers had shown they understood some people didn't like dealing with PVP. The friction over the requirements for that badge (especially when they were *broken* for so long and not awarding properly for time in zone) led to them removing that requirement. (Still requires going in for an exploration and history badge, but given the limited number of zones redside overall, that requirement's nowhere near as onerous.)
Accolades have been reduced to more-equitable requirements before. This is not a request from out in left field.
As far as Task Force Commander - That, really, I don't agree with. It's for running task forces. The requirements are the same, even if the levels aren't.
again, no problem with you at all bill. it is the way the OP comes and complains and whines and wants things just handed to him that we have a problem with. and sugar coating an answer to that type of poster teaches them nothing. he needs to learn to stop complaining and whining and make an actual suggestion the way that they should be presented. -
Quote:obviously you don't read posts or you would have seen the answers i and techbot gave you. so i'll ask this, how do you damage someone with water? you turn it into ice. water does not make sense. again, pm a dev about it and you will get pretty much the same answers we have given you.Yes. Indeed. It's "to" bad. Too bad that you can't understand that water = a smooth liquid and ice = big blocks of solid chunks and spikes all over your chest. If I were to make a water-themed character it would be more fitting to use Energy Aura than it would to use Ice because at least Energy Aura can kind of look like water.
And what "answers" have you given me? Besides pure "lol ur ideaz r dumb cuz they wud look stoopid" type of BS? -

Quote:*cough* ice armor/melee *cough cough*
I am more interested in armor and melee powers. -
Quote:did you actually read the powers and ability sections on him or just look up a comic character that had water based powers? go ahead and then you will realize why it is not in the game besides the fact that water powers DO NOT look right. even with ultra mode, they still wouldn't look right. and at least 80% of the game is visual. if it doesn't look right, it won't be used enough to support developing it.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hydro-Man
Do you really doubt the power of water? I don't even want water blast sets. I am more interested in armor and melee powers. -
Quote:which makes it NOT elastic. and water powers did not and still would not "look" right. in fact they make no sense. what are you going to do, dampen the bad guy to death? make it look like he peed his pants in an attempt to disgrace him? or wait, make his girlfriends hair wet, yeah that'll cause him to submit to you.Oh yes, the old "ice is water therefore we don't need water sets" argument. About as valid as saying "assault rifles are guns therefore we don't need pistols" or "broadsword is metal therefore we don't need claws or dual blades". Water, and water-based comic characters, act quite different from ice or freeze rays. It doesn't freeze you, for example. It's a liquid, not a solid, is another one.
And why wouldn't Elasticity, as I've described, "work the way I am thinking"? I keep hearing people say it's "not possible" to code. Well, of course it isn't, if you're a proponent of wanting stretching limbs that match your character's costume. That's not what I'm suggesting. It's an animation. That's about it. Nothing special besides that. I never once mentioned your arms disappearing while you did the animation or your arms extending out to slap the enemy in the face. It's basically a projectile with some polygons in it and some particle effects surrounding it, all of which can be colored to better match your costume. If it helps, you could think of it as teleportation melee or a super-speed punch or even anime-style "chi fist projection" crapola or something like that.
I just know that, if given a powerset like that, I would totally use it to make a rubberman. -
Quote:how do you doubt that? if it doesn't look right or good it is a waste of time. that is fact. and water based powers are already in the game. they're just called energy based powers. water did not look right so they changed it up a little to give us energy. if you really want to get picky, ice is frozen water so there are actually 2 water based sets(the first being changed to energy because it didn't work right or look right) in the game.I doubt that. If it was done properly it would look very stylish and could feature some very unique attacks. The only other powersets I'd like to see first are Electric Control and Water-based powers. Other than that, what else do we need?
what you are proposing is, in actuality, a a matter propelant/projection power which still wont work the way you are thinking. -
no. but you can run radio missions and the safegaurd and it may unlock him. if not one of the other 45-50 contacts should give him to you after doing a couple of their missions.
