yes they do in the store. and i have never had problems on the management screen as far as i remember. the only time you won't see a description by putting your pointer over an enh is in the training window when you train up.

they do if you put your mouse pointer over them.
  4. umm... they're color coded. they also have a distinguishing feature that do's have a half/half border around them and so's have a single border around them. and if you make them all look the same, you will have a tougher time figuring them out then you do now.

best idea is to just get rid of to/do's all together and make them all so's.
  5. hmm... good point. i started to think this after i posted.

    I'm gonna cry-

honestly, if you have the pocket d teleporter or your base has the beacon, go there instead of actual arena. the arena's offer nothing but a long circular hallway to run through. everyone usually goes to pocket d to do arena stuff.
  9. yeah, that was a bit inexact. what i meant to say was priority wise, she doesn't seem to put bugs and other related problems in the front of the to do list. when you are getting reports on test from closed to open and they haven't been fixed before release and make it to release and take forever getting problems fixed, it is not a good sign. it just seems to me that there isn't as much QC as there should be with her at the helm.

this is just my opinion on what i have noticed over the last few months.

do you even have a clue that the stuff people are puting bids on to hold that extra infl/inf are not even in the game? so how can you give something that doesn't exsist? and i think alot of people would be extremely pissed off to find their billions gone with nothing to show for it.
  11. i didn't read through the whole thread, but i will say this...

judging by all the issues that have risen in the game since W_W(MB) took over as lead designer and her "lack" of rectifying the problems, if i were everyone i would remove everything off the markets before anything happens. and i would not put anything high value in them until everything has been tested to insure that the markets are working properly.

i am not trying to speak badly of W_W, just the lack of fixing problems. i hope i'm wrong, but time will tell.

Second your logic is that if speed boost is why kins are desired on teams they wouldnt take other things ? That's so bad as to be beyond comprehension. Its like saying having a home in the Hamptons eliminates the desire for one in Malibu.
wrong again buck-o. that is your logic that kins are invited to teams because of speed boost and that SB is the only reason to make a kin. my logic is kins are invited to a team for several reasons other then SB and that people do not build kins for just SB. as far as me saying something about SB and kin building, if the only reason a person took kin for SB, you wouldn't see a whole lot of the other powers from that set in their picks. you fail at reading comprehension and trolling. good job.

The increase in the supply of inf from not having to buy new enhancements would do what to prices? Will people still bid the same old amount? Or would they succumb to the seduction of NAO and bid more?
gee, i don't know, maybe take a look at what has happened to the prices since the AE was implemented and we had a problem with the drop rate and 50's earning double the infl/inf? prices spiked and have not really come back down. AT ALL. so all the extra infl/inf from not having to spend it is going to spike the prices again.

just deal with the fact that Posi himself has gone on record saying that being able to hold 10 enhancements was being generous. they are supposed to be locked into our powers as it is.

they need to revamp PvP and base structure before this will be back though.

how did it completely destroy his point? why are you trolling him even. what you linked to was a discussion about a person not giving out sb until they were asked and thanked for it that turned into a stupid debate over making SB an AoE and other things of that nature. people do not make any kin/? or ?/kin toons just for SB. if that was the case, you wouldn't see alot of the other kin powers in their picks.
  17. no it really doesn't. basically what you want is a charcter copy tool which we will not get for live servers. it is to highly exploitable. as would your idea be. you would have to save all the info for each server for a toon which essentially saves all enhancements and everything. now all you have to do is log in one of your manyofthesame toons and respec out of whatever you can and sell for major profit while leaving the rest of the toons alone.

this is a badly thought out idea. again, i see nothing wro ng with re-reolling the same toon on another server. it doesn't take that long to get everything you had before.
  18. ok, let me try this...

how many times will i have to change my name when i want to play that toon on any given server?

how will it save all my info seeing as how the servers are completely separate from one another other then WW/BM and global channels?

how many years of creating and testing do you expect before something like this would be implemented?

what happens when the server created for this goes down? do i lose all the toons i have on that list or can i still access them on my regular server?

these are just a few questions that you must answer before anything can happen.
  19. with SSK, what is wrong with making the same toon on a different server? i see no need to charge people more money for a system that may be broke as hell.
  20. your trollers/defenders get targeted first:

a: because that is the way it is. target the support toons first.

b: because you always take out the squishies first.

that is the way PvP is. if you want to play a squishy, you need to figure out how to build one for survivability. figure out which powerset combos work well and which don't. ask around about slotting in the PvP section. you should enjoy playing your squishies then.

yeah, mary will slap you around like a 2 dollar garden tool. i forget how much you need for her, but it is way more then anything else in the game other then PvP.

But a 2nd grader could improve on a power no one takes.
i have a fire tank, scrapper and brute and all 3 of them have temp protection. for a set of steadfast and the slow resistance. again, your idea of a less used power is an opinion, not fact.

My first concern would be whether character data is capable of saving more than 10 enhancements in inventory. Depending on how data is saved it may or may not be an issue. While I would hope it's programmed to extend with the size of the inventory, it doesn't mean it's necessarily done that way. Also, character data (or certain portions of it) may be limited to a specific file size above and beyond the number of "slots" available. If that's the case adding more slots would probably be very taxing.

Whether keeping 10 is "generous" or not is a matter of opinion. Even if a GM said they thought it was, all it reflects on is their willingness to make a change, not the validity of the player's desires. The number 10 is an arbitrary reflection of what they believe to be the reasonable threshold. The GMs also have opinions on whether certain powers are balanced, but this doesn't mean players can't (or shouldn't) disagree.

The fact that this topic has come up before also doesn't mean the OP is totally in the wrong. Topics that come up repeatedly do so because they reflect what many people are thinking. While they may not always be good ideas, they aren't automatically invalid just because a lot of people talk about it, or it was talked about in a previous discussion.
first off, they are called devs, not GM's. GM stand for game manager/monitor while dev stands for developer/people who make the decissions.

second, do you see the word at the top of the screen between new posts and quick links? it is search. there is a sticky on every section about how to search first before posting. that way topics like this do not get posted umpteen times a week.

...ensuring the game is on shelves...
it is not up to NC if a store carries the game or not. it is the store that decides what it carries. all NC can do is hop up the advertising a little and even then all that will carry it is game stores and maybe top chain stores.
