Can't buy... why? Help me!

I'm trying to buy the mutant pack since it came out and I am getting an error message.. I see more and more people getting it and I cannot.

I live in Brazil and I don't know if that is making it not work, but when a friend from US (He got the pack on his account) tried to buy it for me, he got the same message.

...one day passed and I still get that message.. how can I proceed? What should I do? I tried to change all my contact info to american one, and buying from US with an US card and it didn't work as well.

You're caught up, sadly, in an agreement that NCSoft has with a distributor in South America.

Basically, NCSoft can't sell directly to you if you live in South America, you have to go through the distributor. Whoever that is.

It sucks for the customer, and it sucks for Paragon Studios who would probably love to sell right to you...but it is what it is.

It checks based on your IP address so if you're coming in through a south american IP, it'll block you. EDIT: Whoops saw you tried getting a friend to do it

Sadly I don't think you can get the booster packs through the distributor...Definitely make your voice heard and complain to NCSoft about this. Hopefully it'll change.

If your friend tried to use the same card to buy your pack on the same day he used it to buy his pack, he'd get that message. For whatever reason you can only use a given card once per day. I see you mention that you waited a day and still got that message; has your friend tried on a following day as well?

edit: I guess today is only the second day it's been out, how silly of me. Have your friend try again today.

There is still another method for non-US customers to get access to the NC Store goodies, if that is the only thing stopping you.

Install it, without the toolbar, and the proxy will present you to the Internet as having a US-based IP address while it's turned on.

Uninstall after use unless you need it still for things like accessing Hulu.

This method has been confirmed to work for players in Europe and South America.

That specific tool has worked in the past so that's why I was mentioning it.

Not that actually, just another proxy.
It works the same way... the issue is not the IP anymore, it's the error message I keep getting

Wait more than 24 hours between any attempts. For best results, wait two days.

BE AWARE: After enough failed attempts to purchase, you will be locked out of further attempts at purchasing, PERIOD.

I also live in Brazil, and I was able to get the booster with no problem.

A friend who lives in the US bypassed the IP block easily, and I used my CC for it (International Platinum-class VISA), despite it being issued by a Brazillian bank.

You are probably getting some error based on the Credit Card and its allowed uses per day on the store. Let a few days pass, so the history resets, and try again.

Remember that there is always the possibility of a NCSoft store disponibility error, as it sometimes happens...

For those that dont know, the retailer on South America is incompetent, without updating the CoX items since the launching of AE edition. It seens that LevelUP games prefer to sell other games, from other publishers, that focus on the microtransation business model. I (and the whole of Brazillians CoX players) hope that, one day, NCsoft will ditch then and remove that stupid regional IP Block, as we Brazillians represent one of the most numerous potential on gaming.

Right, I have a 2 days break without any try.

Then I gave my login and password to a friend in U.S (He purchased his with no problem.)

He tried to buy with his credit card, the same he used to buy his own.

And he got the same message...

Trying to contact NCSoft now, my last hope.
I don't understand why they block South America IPs if their retailer is completely incompetent. And I also think they should allow boosters to be brought from in game store. I can change names and buy slots without any problem...

The day we are able to buy boosters on the game store, liek we do on Guild Wars, is the day we shall be set free from the clutches of LevelUP games.
