Do you have some bosses that are say 24-34 and some bosses that are like 45-54 in the same mission?

Just my opinions:
If you are gaining xp with 0 risk, it's abuse (if you can herd/pull 3 critter groups and drop them all in under 3 minutes with over 50% health/end remaining, I'd call that close enough to 0 risk). This includes door sitting.
If you are gaining levels faster than 1 per hour (beyond level 5), it's abuse.
Doesn't matter if it's a Dev mission or not.
I think that pretty much covers it.
BTW, OP, saw you on TV, you were cool.

Wow, I guess my brutes can never be played on any mission again. Because the only place i drop below half health is maybe the RSF if we pull all the heroes at once. -
A) Not everyone has rebalanced their custom mobs with the new power distribution.
B) Alot of Powergamers are avoiding the MA for fear of tripping some datamine somewhere and thereby falling under the Dev hammer. I personally am only playing old Dev issued or Dev sanctioned (dev choice) content until better guidance is available. A challenging arc isn't worth my character or my account. -
I would guess they use some of the standard hero's and AV's...I know from the comm fix patch, the descriptions were now too long and bugging the missions out.
I had to fix 2 of mine because reqeum was in them.
Workaround is to go in and delete the description if it is your mission. -

You did great on the first half of that post. The second half where you try in vain to come up with the proper level where banning should occurr etc.. well leave that stuff to the devs mate, players are tranditionally worse at this kind of thing than the devs and that is saying something.

let's say that we denote a number/type of MOBs as: N
The Devs will NEVER explicity state that "N = AE Farm", ever. Why?
Beacause, once they do every AE Farm creator will make sure their mission is N -1; and scream , "See, I'm under the limit, it isn't a farm."
It will always be subjective because the AE is designed as a story telling tool; and their may be cases that come close to the Devs 'Farm' threshhold here or there, but because of other considerations of the story and other intangible elements, teh Devs would say - 'not a farm'.

My question would be, who cares if it is right up on the line...as long as the line isn't crossed? The line is just that, the line. This side is good, this side is not. -

There's an new interview with massively.com but I don't remember reading any of that in it.

I see no interview. Interview implies Q & A...all that was a report that the "Posi Letter" had been issued. -
I am with Nethergoat on the path to take to ensure my Sg and friends are safe from tripping some invisible too much reward of whatever kind isn't tripped an we are punished retroactively.
We will no longer play any mission in the AE that isn't Dev Choice. We will stay with content published by Dev's or sanctioned by Dev's. We would hate to level through unsactioned content too quickly and punish some author for their good arc or ourselves for going too fast.
Now as long as they don't decide anyone who exceeds their magic 1 merit/3 minute TF guidepost and punish everyone retroacively for that too... -
My question is this....why should a power gamer be punished for playing the game better than average and bringing in more reward of any type?
As long as no exploit is used, you are being punitive to those who excell.
Also your numbers are very weak...we have marketeers who deal in 100's of millions each day. I know, I do too. -
rank of enemy, number of people in the group, difficulty level you have your character set on
-
It is all a Nemesis plot. What more information do you need?
-
I recommend changing the venue of this discussion to the moderator created farm thread in City Life
-
That is one of the things I really hope they make more clear. If there is only one channel for AE...what is it for?
-
yep, also make sure you are looking at the standard tab when looking for the boss. I have done that more than a few times

Any sort of new mastemind primary. The masterminds have only one new primary since the beginging of the game. When power prolifiation went into effect the Brute recived two new primaries and that was considered fair increase to mastermind primaries by the devs.

Haven't read where demons are in the works huh? -
If you are going to a "magic" set, I would much rather go the Doc Strange magic instead of stage magic
-
There is now an official farming disucssion thread posted by Mod8 in the City Life section. I recommend any farming discussion be moved to there.

Noone is forcing you to eat the cake, the steak, the eggs, or the flarn. Just because you don't like it, doesn't make it wrong. I don't like Rap music, doesn't mean I think it should be shoved off the airwaves so more people listen to Rock.
And yes, lots of people do salvage rolls. If you haven't been to the market boards, that is the new flipping. Just because most don't, or only eye the gold rolls, doesn't mean people aren't supplying the other pieces too. As a matter of fact...why don't you run A mission, and roll it all as common salvage, and tell me how hard that was to get all the salvage you needed for whatever you wanted to make. -
Wrong, there is still everything else that was out there before the perfect chocolate cake was introduced.
And you do realize that you can get all the stuff you want as drops from the ticket store right? -

Squirrel Attack powers.
Imagine a power like Gang War but unleashing a hoard of rabid leaping squirrels in numbers to make your graphics card groan under the strain.
Unlikely I guess.

Actually, I was gonna mention a Swarm Mastermind. Picture contolling an army of rats like Willard. Or engulf an enemy in swarms of bees or bats.
OK, maybe I'm a sadist at heart ...

The EQ2 necromancer did things like that with waves of corpse rats and such. -
I wouldn't mind having teleport attack set...where instead of clicking the person then clicking the attack, you click the power, click the targets you want, then click a finish point. and watch the animation
Horribly abuseable in pvp though unless you make the finish port right next to the last target -
Star Trek holo deck with safety functions disabled then
Cause you no Crey and Aeon care about your safety
-
I'm just glad they finally put out guidance as to where the official threads were located.
-
Because the dev's have decreed cusomized powers isn't effective use of resources. And that was just for colors. God help if we could customize damage types with our sets...I would have a Negative Energy damaging Warmace or battleaxe so fast. Of course that would be completely out of balance and game breaking as well.
