The Green Lantern trailer will debut before Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Part 1 in theaters this November, reports ComingSoon and The Green Lantern Corp. fansite. DC writer and Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns gave the announcement during the New York Comic-Con, currently happening this weekend. Johns also added that “If you guys like the comics now, you’ll probably like the film”.

This is just a heads-up to anyone looking forward to seeing the trailer. So if you’re planning to see Harry Potter during the first few days of its opening this November 19th, you’ll be one of the first to get a glimpse at the Green Lantern film.

Green Lantern stars Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, Mark Strong, Peter Sarsgaard. The film is directed by Martin Campbell, and hits theaters on June 17, 2011.
Here's the link to the article.

I can't wait for the Green Lantern movie. Since I'll be watching the Harry Potter movie this November anyway, this is great news. Looking forward to seeing the trailer.

Television writer and producer David E. Kelley will be bringing Wonder Woman back to the small screen with a new series project, reports Deadline. Kelley is best known for creating shows like Ally McBeal, Chicago Hope, The Practice, Boston Public and Boston Legal.

Kelley will be writing and producing the show for Warner Bros. Television and DC Entertainment. There’s no news yet on plot details or in which direction they will go into for this latest reboot of the amazon superheroine, as it is currently being kept under wraps. The project is reported to be heading to the networks shortly.

Warner Bros. Television is currently in the midst of the 10th and final season of CW’s Superman-based Smallville TV series. Wonder Woman may end up filling the gap that will be left by Smallville when the show ends.

Wonder Woman, aka Diana Prince, is the primary superheroine from the DC comic books, and is part of DC’s three main characters (Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman). Her franchise started back in 1941 and her best known adaptation is the Wonder Woman three-season TV series that aired in the 1970′s, starring Lynda Carter.

The article also mentions that there’s currently a plan for another try at a Wonder Woman film, mentioned back in May by Warner Bros. CEO Barry Meyer. Warner Bros. will be announcing a new slate of DC movies later this year, which will probably include the feature film.

We’ll keep an eye out for more information on this new Wonder Woman TV show.
Here's the link to the article, which also has a reference link to Deadline's report.

I'm curious in what direction this show will take, or what angle they may put into it. I also wonder who they'll get to play as Wonder Woman? Who do you guys want for the series?

    Here's the official movie description:
    Quote:
The Warrior’s Way, a visually-stunning modern martial arts western starring Korean actor Dong-gun Jang who plays an Asian warrior assassin forced to hide in a small town in the American Badlands. Rounding out the ensemble cast are Kate Bosworth (Superman Returns), Oscar(R)-winner Geoffrey Rush (Shine), Danny Huston (The Kingdom), and Tony Cox (The Hustle). The fantasy action film was written and directed by newcomer Sngmoo Lee, and is being produced by Barrie M. Osborne (Lord of the Rings), Jooick Lee (Seven Swords) and Michael Peyser (Hackers).
The trailer mixes both east and west into a fantasy action film. A martial arts western. Some of the acting is a little off, but I think that's because of the accents. Nevertheless, it looks like a lot of fun. Looking forward to this one too.
  4. Ha! Thank you for this. I used to watch episodes of Ask a Ninja. Always gave me a laugh or two.
  5. Here's the link where I embedded the trailer.

It's a science fiction film based on a novel of the same name. Here's the movie synopsis:

    Quote:
An extraordinary young man, John Smith, is a fugitive on the run from ruthless enemies sent to destroy him. Changing his identity, moving from town to town with his guardian Henri, John is always the new kid with no ties to his past. In the small Ohio town he now calls home, John encounters unexpected, life-changing events — his first love, powerful new abilities and a connection to the others who share his incredible destiny.
I've never read nor heard of the book, but I checked it out online and found out there's more to the premise than what's been revealed in the teaser. I might give this one a try.
  6. Here's the link where I embedded it.

You can also checkout iTunes Movie Trailers, if you want to download a copy of the HD version.

The new trailer shows a lot more, and some stuff I wasn't expecting. Still looking forward to it. Looks like fun. ^_^
  7. Saw it, and really liked it. A few times the show made me smile.

Adding the series to my schedule of TV shows to watch. ^_^
  8. Looking forward to watching this too. When I saw the trailer for it months ago, I've been waiting for it to premiere. Will be catching it next week. ^_^
  9. AMC has just released a new video featuring a behind-the-scenes look at the highly-anticipated horror/drama TV series.

Here's the link where I embedded the video.

Looking forward to this even more. I'm gonna be closing my lights while watching this during Halloween night.

    Oh, this one:

  11. Neat ^_^ So it really was her on that video.

There's also a set of new photos as well. This time of Chris Evans in action on the set. He seems to be wearing prosthetic limbs or something, mostly to cover his feet because he has to chase a cab on bare foot.

There's also a video of it that surfaced on the net, which I updated my article with along with the photo below and a link to the gallery source of INFDaily. It looks like he buffed himself up for the role.

  12. Oh I saw that actually when you posted them. There's more new photos. Most of these were not on that thread. So yeah... this is more like new additions to those. Plus of course the videos.

During the entire film, have silouhettes of Timm-verse Batman and Robin sitting in movie seats at the bottom of the screen and ragging on it.
Ha! I would actually buy that. Oh and also just to see Batman say the infamous line...
  14. Definitely watching it tonight. Seen every episode so far. Not stopping anytime soon.
  15. Here's the link where I posted them.

There are three videos on it, from different sources. One is a set walk-through from Hobbsy.com, while another is a scene with guns being fired, from a Manchester Captain America blog. The last, which is a video I updated the article with today from AICN, features a car explosion as a woman runs out of an antique shop.

There are also a few photos. For more videos and photos, I also placed links in the article to the sources.

UPDATE September 24: First Look at Chris Evans in action. A photo and video of him in a scene, well, chasing a cab barefoot (well sort of, he's wearing prosthetics to protect his feet). Check out the updated Shadowrush.com article with a photo and video of the scene, plus a link to the INFDaily's gallery source for more photos.

Warner Bros. has released a teaser trailer for the upcoming DC animated film, All-Star Superman. The teaser can be viewed above (via MTV). The teaser trailer will also be available with the Superman/Batman: Apocalypse Blu-Ray and DVD, hitting stores on September 28, 2010.

The animated film is based on the award-winning 12-issue comic book series from writer Grant Morrison and artist Frank Quitely that ran from 2005-2008. The comic series, like the other All-Star comics, was created separately to allow writers to create stories of their own without restrictions from DC continuity. All-Star Superman tells the Man of Steel’s struggle with mortality after being tricked by Luthor. The story centers on how the Superman will spend his last year and fulfilling a list of achievements he wants to do before his demise.

The film is voiced by James Denton as Superman, Christina Hendricks as Lois Lane, and Anthony LaPaglia as Lex Luthor. It’s executive produced by Bruce Timm, directed by Sam Liu, and written by Dwayne McDuffie. All-Star Superman is set to release in 2011.
Definitely looking forward to this one.

The sci-fi novel “Ender’s Game” by Orson Scott Card is being adapted as a live-action film, and Gavin Hood has rewritten a script, reports 24 Frames (Los Angeles Times Blog). Odd Lot Entertainment has picked up the movie based on the 1985 award-winning novel. Gavin Hood, who is most known as the director of the Oscar-winning “Tsotsi” and recently as the director of “X-Men Origins: Wolverine”, has done a rewrite of Card’s most recent script and is developing the project as a director.

Ender’s Game is the first book in a series. The novels spawned short stories and comic book adaptations. Here’s the book’s description:

    Quote:
In order to develop a secure defense against a hostile alien race’s next attack, government agencies breed child geniuses and train them as soldiers. A brilliant young boy, Andrew “Ender” Wiggin lives with his kind but distant parents, his sadistic brother Peter, and the person he loves more than anyone else, his sister Valentine. Peter and Valentine were candidates for the soldier-training program but didn’t make the cut—young Ender is the Wiggin drafted to the orbiting Battle School for rigorous military training.

Ender’s skills make him a leader in school and respected in the Battle Room, where children play at mock battles in zero gravity. Yet growing up in an artificial community of young soldiers Ender suffers greatly from isolation, rivalry from his peers, pressure from the adult teachers, and an unsettling fear of the alien invaders. His psychological battles include loneliness, fear that he is becoming like the cruel brother he remembers, and fanning the flames of devotion to his beloved sister.

Is Ender the general Earth needs? But Ender is not the only result of the genetic experiments. The war with the Buggers has been raging for a hundred years, and the quest for the perfect general has been underway for almost as long. Ender’s two older siblings are every bit as unusual as he is, but in very different ways. Between the three of them lie the abilities to remake a world. If, that is, the world survives.
This is not the first time a movie adaptation of Ender’s Game was attempted. Back in 2003 a script was written and director Wolfgang Petersen was attached at one point, but it never materialized. There’s still some hurdles that will have to be overcome, since the story requires having to find young child actors who can take on the lead roles. The plot is also controversial with its violence and military angle featuring young children.

No casting or production date has been announced yet.
Here's the link to the article.

I'm still somewhat skeptical that this will push through, but I am wishing it does this time. Here's hoping something happens.
  18. Saw it. Liked it. Of course I'm now left with a dozen questions. Looking forward to more.

    Hehe, I know the aliens possibility is cliche and done already... but deep down, I'm surprisingly wishing it is aliens. ^_^;

Oh and another possibility, maybe "they" could be superpowered beings? Meta-humans being held as prisoners?
  19. Yeah, it's pretty impractical. Maybe a bit more work on making it faster and applying more fabric would make it more useful. Also one would probably use this to make his/her own clothes for later use rather than something one would immediately wear, because the time needed would take so long especially if you're in a hurry.

But anyone else thought of something similar while viewing this video. I was thinking superhero gadget, like a pseudo web shooter version of Spidey's. Make it tougher and stronger. Use it to.... well... distract and cover bad guys.

Look at the movie poster. The composition. Then the tag line.

    Nuff said.
Ha! I was surprised to see this thread in the first page again. But I'm glad I checked it again. That poster... OMG! I can't stop laughing!

A couple of concept art being used by Atlas Entertainment to pitch a Voltron movie to studios have hit the web. JoBlo received the two images below featuring Voltron and a Robeast. The screenwriting team of Thomas Donnelly and Joshua Oppenheimer have been hired to adapt the 80′s animated series to the big screen. The duo also wrote the upcoming Conan film and are writing the adaptation for Doctor Strange.

See the concept art below (via JoBlo). You can click the images for larger versions:

Here's the link to the article, which also has the clickable images for a bigger version as well as the reference link to JoBlo where they were found.

I'm really excited about this, although I am a little iffy on it looking a little like the Transformers movie design. It is still just concept art though. Hopefully this turns out well.
  22. I've actually never read the books, but this is making me want to check it out, or at least get the first book and read it before the TV show airs.
  23. HBO has released a new teaser trailer and a behind-the-scenes featurette for their upcoming fantasy series "Game of Thrones".

Here's a link where I embedded them both.

I don't normally post news on TV series on my site, but I do sometimes make exceptions. I'm really looking forward to this.
  24. Yup, Happy Birthday Super Mario Brothers! ^_^

I remember the days as a kid playing the first game, and then talking with friends about strategies and tips on playing it.

There's also a Nintendo UK video about the occasion, I've embedded it here. It's the second video.

And of course, Japan is celebrating with a 25th Anniversary website, where the video from Kotaku came from. If you can understand Japanese, check it out here.
  25. Congrats to everyone!

Hehe sorry I couldn't make it. I didn't know I was in the alt list since I wasn't sure if I could even get in, but now I know. And plus I was hoping to get to Vigilante before the SF, but work got in the way throughout the week. Just a few more tip missions and I can start joining these things.

(Oh and yes, badging... all those villain badges will be mine!) ^O^
