    Earth/elec.... use of geological crystals to refract and redirect electricity? (More of a magical concept, really)

    (QR) Lot's of discussion, which I expected. Here's a quick status update on this.

    1) Acrobatics *will* be reduced in value. 9 Mag is the current target value, though that may change. The change is being made not just because of PVP, but also because we want Knockback in PVE to be a threat in certain encounters -- with 100 points of protection from a toggle, that simply was never the case.

    2) Acrobatics may be changed to be enhanceable with KB enhancements (but not IO sets.) Most likely this would be scale 1 or 2 enhanceable, with the remainder unenhanceable.

    3) Power Boost, Power Build Up and associated buffs (including accolades) will be altered so they no longer increase KB.

  5. Team.
    Dom's hardest levels tend to be between 12-22: mobs start to ramp up at little, and it suddenly starts taking longer to kill them, so you use more controls, which kills your blue bar that much faster....its not a pleasant cycle.
    It gets much, much easier after 22 - SOs (or 25 IOs if you have the infamy) spike your control effectiveness instantly, and the extra damage sorts out the problems on that front as well. Hit 32, and you generally can solo almost as fast as any other AT in the game, and generally more safely as well (depending on specifics of build, of course).
    Seriously, if you can get your dominator to 22, the hardest work is pretty much done.

    I thought that I'd start making some forays into PvP (Union), since I've been playing the game a fair old time and never really given it a try. So I'm levelling up (yet another) character for this, an ice/cold corruptor (more for the concept than anything else, really).     Have just picked up the marshall Brass mission thats full of Shivans, so thought I'd come here and arrange a time for people who dont have the MIB badge to log on and grab it - A full team should be enough to get the badge with maybe two runthroughs i think.

    The weekend sometime would be best for me, but aside from that I'll see what I can do with people's requests.

    PS - its a level 18 mission - levels above welcome for the farm, levels below might wanna make sure we have a sidekick available

    I'd like to put a team togehter to do a few AV missions friday evening - partly because I've hit AVs I can't solo, and partly to see just how much xp an AV will give under double xp weekend conditions - and also because I'd quite like to hit 47 - I've already let Bilharzia overtake and hit 50, that damn batcow!

    Anyway, I'll be on just after 7pm tomorrow, you can /tell me under either Wynter or @Shadowfane, or you can just post here and I'll keep track of who wants to play before I log on

    Something I've noticed is that, when a couple of Experiment members (not mentioning any names here) have said something along the lines of "oh, can X join?" Wam, Stas, Weas and myself have been only too happy to oblige, but those people aren't Science origin. I've not done anything about it, because it isn't my baby, but I don't know where Wam stands on it.

    Oddly, this is similar to what I was going to ask about.... I have a fire/storm 'troller currently languishing at about 17 (so yes, I may wait a while anyway) - unfortunately he isn't science origin....but would it be a problem to team with you guys occasionally?

    I've just picked up the Winston Phipps mission to destroy some containers or other in a ship - the part I'm most interested in is the fact that the Civic squad, the dev's answer to a pick up group, and the most amusing villains I've found yet, are guarding it.
    To that end, I'd quite like to make up a full team, just so I can see the while lot of them and have a good laugh at their profiles - before beating them into a bloody pulp and nicking their stuff.

    I'm provisionally going to run this tuesday evening, sometime around 8pm - I'm currently level 41.95 and will cheerfully up my difficulty if required

    Just a quick question, more out of curiosity than anything else - do you guys take your nukes?
    I ask because I'm looking at both my rad/rad (currently at 22) and my fire/dark that I have planned for when my raging altitis takes hold again.
    My rad/rad will probably be taking the nuke, but the more I look at the build for the fire/dark, the more I'm thinking that Inferno just isn't necessary, and might actually be counter-productive to use (all those toggles dropping... )

    So, what about you guys/girls?

    Yup I have, and I stand by my opinion - BFR, as bad as it is, still does a little damage, and has ice's usual secondary effect, whilst petrifying gaze does neither!

  24. Heh, feel free to disagree with me - I'm by no means a fount of always correct information

    Let me clarify then; ON ITS OWN Petrifying gaze just doesn't cut the mustard - but if you have a nother hold to stack with it, it can be useful - I'd generally advise not picking it up till you get to patron level, then respeccing it in in that case, but thats just me - my dark/elec was spoiled by having a second hold in his secondary

    By the way Cel, you and Syn 50 yet?
