As you've written it, the spec is enough to play the game. Sounds like it might be a graphics issue, though.

Try starting CoX in Safe mode (a tick-box on the start-up client), playing like that for a while, and if everything works slowly start increasing your graphics settings until you find the thing that crashes you out.

I use a 7900 card in my desktop with pretty much everything on high or V high, so you shouldn't be suffering this much.

Basically because this would also grant a further incentive to street-sweeping beyond badge-hunting or those despicable hunts. I think it would be even better if this opened up a new brand of story arc (silver? Then we can rename the existing ones gold and bronze rather than yellow and red).

Thoughts on how such story arcs could be structured/fit into the scheme of things are welcome - one thought that springs to mind would be that if a character has an open 'silver' story arc, they randomly spawn ambushes from the villain group they are 'hunting', which continue until the arc is complete.

This could also lead nicely into the much-desired 'Personal Nemesis' content. Love it, love it, love it.

K, just to seek clarity: Are you querying this for the original non-recharge on zoning issue, or on the power ready delay?

If it is the latter, I can confirm that I am experiencing this, and yes, I use Virgin Media Cable. (my wife is experiencing it also, but I sort of think that's a redundant statement).

If it's between 8am and 10am UK time, then no, it's not rude. There is a standard notification that between those hours the servers may be taken down at any time.

Outside those hours, I know that they try to give more warning than that, but it's not always possible, especially if it's for something like an urgent fix.

Honestly? No, I wouldn't. I love Union, and I love the players, and I love the SGs I'm part of, and the people I RP with. I have no desire (save one, which I have so far resisted the temptation to give in to) or need to access the US servers. But my point is this: If cross-Atlantic server access was granted, do you think that Union would get any new RPers? Given that Virtue has a significantly larger population, being known as the "Unofficial European RP Server" would NOT do Union any favours, particularly coupled with the sort of server populations that Virtue sees.

Sorry, Liz, but you can absolutely, honestly, hand on your heart guarantee that if you got access to Virtue, which regularly has two or three times as many RPers as Union has players, you wouldn't server-transfer? Because I wouldn't believe you.

Thanks, Palladium. I don't think that too many people are disputing that NC Customer Support have to operate on the basis of what can be definitively proven. It is a shame that the storage permissions are as primitive as they are, because a more sophisticated setup might have prevented this.

Really what it comes down to is that while NC simply can't take action from a CS perspective, because it is impossible, that is no reason for us as the players not to express our disatisfaction that there are not currently viable systems in place to prevent just this sort of action.

A lot of players take part in things that could cause distress to others, but it's done with consent (swearing and "adult" topics in team chat immediatly spring to mind among other things). He fraudulently gained access and permissions to a SG with the intent to strip it bare. Did @Sneaky_thieving_goit do it on purpose? Looks like it. Did @Sneaky_thieving_goit's actions cause distress to the OP? Yes.

In an arrangement like a SG, there is an implicit trust between the players, due to the primitive nature of the permissions we have for storage, and if someone abuses that trust, then they will undoubtedly cause distress to other players. The question then becomes one of whether it's intentional or not.

If it was an 'accident' then I can agree that there is no real reason for the OP to be distressed by it, but from the information we have here, @Sneaky_thieving_goit did this with the sole intention of stealing from the OP's SG - if that wasn't his aim, he should, by rights, give the items back. Since he put the OP on ignore as soon as he did this, he clearly thought he got away with it and would continue to get away with it. As I see it, @Sneaky_thieving_goit griefed the OP intentionally.

Do I think @Sneaky_thieving_goit broke rule 1? Yes.

The OP is clearly distressed by this. @Sneaky_thieving_goit seems to have done this on purpose, but that is beside the point - the OP is distressed, and it was by @Sneaky_thieving_goit's actions. Action should be taken. I don't care what that action is, as long as some is taken. I trust the GMs enough to suppose that on consideration they will do/have done so.

As for whether the OP should get his stuff back... in the interests of fairness, yes, but policy is that he won't, so I can understand the official stance. On the other hand, if the removed stuff can be taken away from @Sneaky_thieving_goit and given back to the OP, then that would be a VERY equitable result.

Actually, I'm still trying to figure out why someone who has just completed a respec trial and needs a respec would want to fork out £6 for a respec. Because if you've done your deal with the devil, the one thing I can guarantee you is that he will make the price of respec recipes go UP. A lot.

The way I see it is this:

Want a server transfer? You could have rolled your toon on the other server to start with, or you could roll a new one on that server, so NC will charge you for changing your mind.

Want a respec? Do the trials. Burn a Vet Reward one. Farm a little and buy a recipe. If NONE of those are available to you... NC will charge you for something that you CAN get without paying.

Want more character slots? Your initial game purchase covered 12 slots per server. NC will charge you for more.
