It seems that often times when I choose to logout to character selection, instead of the login screen, my client will often freeze and I will have to Crtl+Alt+Delete to task manager to end the process
-
I'm currently trying to softcap my elec/shield and the current build I'm following is one that Fury Flechette made.

Just wondering if there were any suggestions to adapt to I19 -
-
It turns out that since both my billing and permanent addresses are in Virginia, and I'm trying to order from an IP address in Florida (visiting family for Christmas) the online store flagged it as risk management and blocked the transactions.
Currently talking with support. -
I have no problem if I were able to order one thing per day, but I have been trying for the past 3 days to order just one thing, and get the error every time. I still have not heard back from NCSoft support after almost 3 days...
-
I saw that the monthly spending limit was 100$
The only other purchase made was a 15$ reactivation fee back on the 10th of this month for my account. -
So for the past three days I've been trying to order the City of Heroes Going Rogue: Complete Collection Item Pack from the PlayNC online store. Every time I try to complete my order I get the following message:
" We're sorry, but we are unable to accept your order at this time. Please try again later or tomorrow. If you continue to have problems, you may wish to visit one of our retail partners."
I sent something to PlayNC support two days ago and haven't heard back...
Just wondering if anyone else has run into this problem? -
Thanks for all the great feedback.
A sonic/sonic defender sounds really interesting, but so do some of the other sets.
I'll just have to make one of each and see which I enjoy most. -
I actually played a bots/ff mm to 32 and just got bored. MMs are fun if you have something else to do which is why my thugs/dark made it to 50.
I think the Elec/FF would be fun, and with a controller primary I'll always be busy. -
I actually didn't check the powersets before I posted haha and just assumed corrupter did have FF.
So a FF Defender will be better at bubbling then say a Controller with /FF ? -
I have an empathy defender that was fun to play to 50 but I'm looking more for mitigation than the "healing" that my empathy was used to.
I guess what I should have asked is, is there a difference between whether I have a defender bubbling or a controller/corrupter giving out bubbles? -
So I've been playing a low level scrapper recently, which has been a blast. I love the kinetic melee power set animations, and have been teaming with two defenders, a force field bubbler and a sonic bubbler. Both of which, when combined, make me just about invincible.
My question is, which AT is able to provide this kind of protection best and also provide another team oriented role as well?
Some things I've been throwing around in my head that I may be interested in:
Sonic/Electric Defender
Force Field/Electric Defender
Electric/Force Field Corrupter
Electric/Force Field Controller
I know Cold has two shields and is also a pretty decent debuff set, but not sure what I would want to combine it with -
Thanks for all the help and insight. Now I just need to worry about getting all the influence necessary to make this build a reality on my character haha
-
Here's a final revision.

190% Regen
163.8% Recharge

I'm a fan of Nvidia myself and EVGA as well.
Here's a good starting spot.

I reworked mids to include most of your suggestions. I kept the Psi APP due to RP reasons so hopefully it won't be too much of a hindrance.

And I just saw I forgot to slot stamina...
I think since I broke the rule of 5 on 6.25% recharge I'll not worry too much about tornados slots and move some to stamina -
Thanks for all the great advice. As far as playstyle and goals, I love to play on large teams and rarely solo, and I usually stay back at range. Recovery and recharge are definitely what I would strive for. I don't know too much about alpha slots but I think the spiritual one is like a 33% recharge bonus so I figured that would help a great deal with Perma-PA and such.
-
It's been a few months since I stopped playing and was wondering if someone could help critique my build. At the time I was kind of just buying things that fit into the slots and seeing which set bonuses I could get. Any help would be greatly appreciated. It was a little tricky working with mids, as I haven't respeced my fitness out for the inherent one yet. The levels of chosen powers and enhancement slot levels are pretty random as I was just trying to copy over my live build into a postable format.

I also have an ill/storm and am looking to maximize his efficiency. He just hit lvl 47 and all his SO enhancements have gone red. I have never made a character with set bonuses but am definitely looking to get near perma PA, and just have an awesome all around character.
If I were to follow your guide exactly UnicyclePeon, how much would do you think it would cost? Is that a decent build to have for general PvE party use? -
I hate to admit it but as a 33 month vet it's time for me to learn how all these IOs work. I don't pvp and am looking to "IO out" I guess would be the right term, my current lvl 47 ill/storm troller. I did the crafting trial when IOs first came out and that is the extent of my knowledge although even that is rusty...and then on my lvl 50 emp I just went to the market and bought lvl 50 generic, I think is the term, IOs.
I could use an extremely in depth and straight forward guide to "IOing" characters.
Is it better to buy recipes/salvage and craft the IO enhancement, or try to just find the enhancements I need?
What level IOs do I craft/buy? 50, or does the level not matter?
Like I said, I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing and any help is greatly appreciated.
