  4. link now mind you this song is being sung by a preacher....
  5. Starflier....your location cracked me up....Canukistan....thats good stuff....
  6. So....pretty much new to the series and must say...WOW! This is truly am excellent show and am glad I was able to watch season one all the way up to the current episode....

Khal Drogo....pretty much Conan on the next level....shame what happened to him.
  7. The only thing that really worked against the T-1000 model was when it was doused in liquid nitrogen and that corrupted its ability to change shapes. So getting blasted by Iron Man and Thor should not really be that much of an issue....

Over the weekend, I walked into a comic book store intent on getting into reading them again. I was a little overwhelmed to say the least. I hadn't actually stepped foot into a comic book store in about 25 years. Hoping some of you can point me in the right direction.

    Here's some things I'm looking for/interested in:

    A) Characters I've liked

    1) I like the movie version of Gambit.(X-men Origins: Wolverine)
    2) I like the portrayal of Rorschach in the Watchmen movie.
    3) I like the backstory/powers/look of Wesley Dodds.
    4) I like mind/force powers akin to Prof X+invisible girl.

    B) Art

    1) I found X-men Noir in the bookstore I was looking at. I really enjoyed the dark/subdued colors of the comic.
    2) Don't like cartooney colors etc. Prefer gritty realistic colors/moods.

    C) Setting

    1) I'm a huge fan of 1920's - WWII. I enjoyed the Captain America movie for this reason. Plus I like his traditional/patriotic style.
    2) I hate anime, Japanese art/cartoons, etc.
    3) Prefer semi realistic settings akin to Watchmen, where Superheroes are a rarity, and are both flawed and vulnerable.
    4) Don't like Magical/God characters like Thor. Prefer science based/natural characters, etc...things that could exist in the world we live in...if the laws of physics were stretched a bit.

I'd like to get into about 3-5 comics. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Dunno if this would prove helpful or not, however finding a local comic shop is always a good thing to. That way you can go in and look at comic books and trade paperbacks and perhaps (if the staf is friendly) strike up a conversation with them.

I think the last time I watched the Andy Griffith show was back in the 80's, cartoons then the Andy Griffith show, followed by the Dick Van **** show, and I Love Lucy.

The local station played all this old stuff; Gomer Pyle, Hazel, Bewitched, The Courtship of Eddie's Father, Rat Patrol and so on. It was Nick at Nite well before there was a Nick at Nite
ah yes....back when things weren't as hectic as they are now....

    oh and this:

    Thor: He's my brother
Natasha Romanoff: He killed 80 people in 2 days
    Thor: ...He's adopted

    and this too:

Tony Stark: You have reached the life model decoy of Tony Stark. Please leave a message.
Agent Phil Coulson: This is urgent.
Tony Stark: Then leave it urgent

    and finally:

Tony Stark: [to Bruce Banner] You really have got a lid on it, haven't you? What's your secret? Mellow jazz? Bongo drums? Huge bag of weed?
