Someone on the Dev team really needs to look into this. What has customer service been saying to all of these irregularities / problems.

Quote:I posted the same suggestion below (missed yours on my first read through). I am really fond of the idea.Summon Alt
When used, it summons one Doppelganger-style copy of any of your characters of the same red/blue/gold alignment from the same server as an ally. They will wear the costume you see them in on the character select screen, and have the powers you chose. Yeah, it's the signature character summon, but with one of your characters. Claim the power and you choose right there who to call. You KNOW you want to see a superhero teamup of all your favorite characters. -
The following suggestion would make Paragon Studios piles and piles of money:
1 time purchase per character (say 400 pts) on a summoning temp power which would allow you to summon another character from your account as a boss-class pet. No reduced rewards from having this helper pet. The pet would be configured just like the "doubles" that we meet in missions sometimes (so maybe wouldn't have an exact map of powers), but we would have the option of choosing/switching which costume they are in. No limit on how much time you could use this pet (except in things like PVP and maybe AE, task forces, and trials). Also, it would be disabled on teams of 5 or more, to prevent character overload.
Obviously this would take some a bit of time implement, but you would be rich beyond your wildest dreams.
(Guild Wars has a similar purchaseable, so you could ask them how it worked out)
(edit: one clarification above, my suggestion presumes that I claim this temp power on a specific character, but then I can summon any character say, on the same server, for the character who claimed it. The character who claimed it could switch which character it summons. it would be repeat in the sense that you would have to buy it for each character that wanted it) -
Quote:The problem is that it will never work for everyone. My original suggestion was a aimed to give incentive to the super packs over buying costume pieces outright (the incentive being that the "exclusive" costume pieces would have a higher--than-average price). This would give incentive to players who are open to paying for all/most items in the super pack (enhancements, enhancers, merits, temp powers) to buy the packs, while leaving an out for those who want only one thing (costumes or IOs)But the primary purpose of this thread is to tell Paragon Studios what they can do so you (and I and each of us) will want to purchase the Super Pack repeatedly.
As a player who has no interest in either ATIOs and convenience boosts, nothing would make me want to buy them repeatedly. I don't even want them once. I already do one repeatable purchase, that is the subscription. I also buy every costume set and powerset they make available. -
Quote:I made a constructive suggestion in my first post. Sorry that you didn't like my reply on additional details. There's a thread waiting for you --> that-a-way...

My suggestion is to keep the super packs as is, but sell "exclusive" costume sets separate at a 25% mark-up over other costume sets and similarly slightly overcharge for ATIOs. If you want to allow players to trade cards, let them buy the costumes as a set of cards costume cards which they can do with as they please.

Did they mention proliferation in i22 also? I would hope Doms would get dark assault and Controllers would get Dark Miasma.

Quote:The problem is that it includes things that people might buy without the random elements (exclusive costume options and AT-specific enhancements). If you don't like it, don't buy it. Simple as that. Some people will enjoy the randomness of it, but if few people take part, they won't devote more resources to it.
The amazing thing is that this terrible idea is overshadowing the terrible decision to make some IOs store exclusive. -
This is the most terrible idea in the history of City of Heroes.
-
Yeah, we should assume that it will be for sale since it tested separate from an issue.
Any future complementary VIP sets will presumably be announced with an issue announcement (ie. time manipulation). -
Quote:This makes me sad.Good luck with this. I'm also a lifetime, and currently annual, subscriber. Customer Service still responds with, basically, "We don't really know how to answer these questions, please ask us again later."
If you're lucky, they won't try and close your account. -
In the meantime, it may be worthwhile to look through your account to see what you spent points on (i forget how, but I think there is an option in the store) just to have a concrete number to refer to. Good luck resolving it quickly.
It will probably be easier to deal with the points than the tokens. Among my gaming friends, we have all received different amounts of tokens, for no apparent reason (even if you take date into account, two of us have recieved 2 (maybe one got 3?) and two of us have received 1 token). You should at least have 1 token. -
If you were around for freedom launch, I think you should definitely have 3 transfers, and at least 1 increment of paragon points. September points came with Freedom launch (+3 months at 400 points from the loyalty program since June). You should have points from October, and points from November should arrive on November 29 (though not necessarily at any specific time of day, just by the end of the day).
-
September was included with the launch of Freedom, I thought.
When did you last resubscribe? -
Well, at least I get to see these guys running around for free, since other people will buy them
-
Games which allow you to earn currencies in game or have occasional sales on points as well as store items gouge you even worse. We can be thankful about that at least.

In my opinion, it is unlikely that they are doing a 6-hour downtime on a Thursday just to put something in the store they won't release until Tuesday anyways. Maybe it is mostly back-end stuff.
-
That is probably a good point, but it might not be the sort of thing which would hold them back if they had a fixed date in mind.
-
I noticed that there will be a a 6 hour downtime for a live publish tomorrow. Do we have any reason to suspect that this will be Media Blitz?

I just want to come back and say I love the new path aura. A more flowery or vinelike option would be great additions in the future. I was uncertain I wanted to pay as much for a path aura, but it is definitely worth it.
-
Spontaneous plant growth sometimes is associated with Aphrodite walking around and also when Zeus and Hera have marital relations in the Iliad, so fertility is pretty good.
I guess there is no point in me recommending "lush". -
Is the autumn aura supposed to be fallen leaves? It looks more like sprouting/growing leaves. If the latter, I was wondering if you could rename it to something more appropriate, maybe to something like verdant or fertile aura. I wouldn't complain, except that it looks like the aura does the exact opposite of what is associated with autumn.
