There is a reason the original S4 was a pentad tournament. 'PENT' ( 5, five, one more than four, one less than 6) AD.
IMO Pentad is the ultimate format, as it allows each team an understanding of what theyll be up against each week.
As for no travel powers. Thats sucky-McSuck from the clan McSucky. Look at the last official two vs two tourney. Look at who won, 2 stormies. No tarvel powers makes playing melee a joke, and on large arena maps it can give a huge advantage to a team. Kill one member of a team, they respawn miles away for from their team mates, and for the time it takes them to get back their other team mates are fighting a 4vs3. Rinse and repeat.
If you like slow pvp, go play WoW, and whilst your at it, turn off the default RUN key and use the WALK!.

Stalkers have missed hitting through my pff without powerboost, but with powerboost the only toon likely to hit is other /em blasters. -
my troller fears rad/psi defenders
my bs/reg doesnt like any toon with hideous slows and -regen
my blaster fears noone except knight stalkers mum. -
people seem to forget the other power in the Force epic, pff. Yes, a stalker may still 2 shot a FoN'ed blaster, but thats not happening with a powerboosted pff on. I have my pff bound to my middle mouse button and my total focus on auto. That way I allow an opponent to cycle their most dangerous attacks whilst i hit pb+aim+bu hit middle mouse button and the total focus then fires off.

I feel suffocated, trapped, gasping for air, overwhelmed by bloodlust, spartan-like; unable to surrender, unwilling to retreat. The adrenaline pumps visciously through my irradiated veins, my thirst for fresh victims, unquenchable. Sorry for not being very clear in my explanations, so here goes.
My advice was based on both team pvp and solo pvp in zones.
First off resilience.
Nope, I don't take this for the dam res ( which is always nice ), but i take it purely for the amount of EM based toons in pvp. Without it you will get sunned. A. Lot.
Next tactics.
OK, first of all, leadership is taken for two reasons.
1) Perception. First off, you dont get FA till 41. Therefore the only pvp zone you can use it in is RV. Having tactics in sirens is great. At worst, it allows you to see the AS's earlier, giving you time to get away or DP up.
Secondly, the perception stacks with FA and that is plain great. I have faced many a 'good' stalker in RV, and most say the same thing in broadcast," how can you see me? are you running FA AND Tact...[interrupted by BU+HS connecting]
2) The slight taunt and placate resist.
Really, when you can see stalkers, you effectively become a stalker killer, as they dont fare well toe to toe vs scrappers, even eluded ( where you just back away for a short period )
Stamina AND QR should both be three slotted with end mods.
Why? Because that is what gives regen an advantage. Never being concerned over end is always nice on an AT that relies on clicky heals.
Taunt is ace. Learn to love it. Ok for arguments sake take PvE. Now, its not a tankers taunt for sure, but every little helps, and when not teamed with a tank, it may just save a suishies life.
As zone pvp, with your +per, you can taunt a stalker you see lining up an AS on a fellow hero. The AS may still go off, but the follow up killing move will now be inturrupted, and you can rest assured, when said stalker goes to follow up and cant, and they see 'taunted', you can rest assured someone somewhere is swearing at you!
As for team pvp, or arena pvp, taunt is a must. End of. Dont ask why, as im running out of time, it just is. -
bah, im not too fussed about caging tbh.
Not meaning to hijack the thread, but i think the most hideously overpowered, in desperate needing of a nerfing, power in pvp presently is the thermal corruptors end killing power.
Now the reason i say this, is the other night i looked into this during some fun team pvp. After hitting conserve power AND AM on my troller my endurance still ran out, and stayed out for a condierable period.
Now, imo, that is just plain daft. Having no end is far worse than being caged. You cant run away, you cant use heals, you cant defend yourself at all.
Now when you consider how end drain has been shafted in pvp already, so the likes of Kin/elec defenders struggle to effectively drain end after a number of repeat applications, and even then, end can be regenned enough to get away (SS/SJ etc), I think a fire and forget end killer is plain wrong.
Now i believe SB can counter this, but i would love to test just how much..
Effectively, this makes this AT hideously overpowered in duels or even events like 2vs2, and two or more on a team would be devastating. If the other teams have kin, all you have to do is target them.

eluded Ma/SR can be a pain in team pvp.
Not too sure about ice/nrg tank vs rad, as RI does debuff their defense...
Also in team pvp, ice/en / elec/en is always going to cause probs, espectially if buffed. -

ok, where to begin ;D
first of all, as a scrapper in pvp, dont worry too much about your healing tree. Your job is to chase squishies and inflict as much damage as possible in the shortest amount of time. With that in mind
- ditch fighting pool
-2 more end mods in stamina
-integration:2heals and at least 1 recharge
-take swift instead of health
-take resilience earlier
-take taunt
-if you want to build a stalker killer, take tactics too. -

ok, the cage. It is only slightly overpowered in a 2vs2 aspect, however shaman and I managed to win through fighting a cager, by patience. The cager kept me caged for a good 10-15 mins, and shaman did an amazing job staying alive in that time. In the meantime I managed to slowly eat through the cagers' (Decibellion) breakfrees. With the help of Lingering Raiation, this extended his recharge time on the cage allowing me to fire off three or four holds in between.
Eventually, when deci had no bf's left, the match turned in our favour and we won.
So overall? it is certainly an advantage in a 2vs2, but by no means unbeatable. -
Right lets settle this..
Deceive is ace. Full stop. It is the best pvp power in the illusion set. Period. As anyone who has fought, and died against Hazel will tell you, the usual comment is, " that damned deceive!"
In fact, its always my opening attack in pvp, unless im facing an sr scrapper -

1) Unless there are a load of AoE's flying about, then providing the tanker is half decent, there should be no issues for a defender in melee range. Even if there are AoE's this will effect less squishies than you think..(bubble defender anyone? ).
2) As for 'you' doing the killing, I take it you dont notice that lovely green stuff that floats around AV's whilst your 'killing' them? If you have ever teamed with a good Rad defender, you would know it is them, not you, purting the real' hurt on the AV's.
3) If you still think like this in a weeks time, ill introduce you a sonic/psi or a rad/rad or a rad/psi etc etc..defender in the arena, who will happily educate you to just who is better at 'arresting'.
4) I can't believe i've stooped to reply to this..oh the shame. -
spines still has one excellent thing going for it. It may not have EM's damage ( stalkers ) or BS's damage ( scrappers ), however when duelling certain squishies, it's the slows that can be a colossal pain in the proverbial.
