  1. Oh. I thought you were planning to solo your missions.

pssst... Hey Du Hast, ask for something else.
  3. I hope you're doing this "completist" run with a high damage character. I tried it with 2 Defenders back when Croatoa was released. The extended fights due to the low Defender damage really burnt me out on those characters. To this day, I am reluctant to play them. Just logging into them to change Day Job locations makes me feel weary and depressed. I was truly traumatized. Looking back in hindsight, if I could do it again, I'd use a Fire blaster or something else with lots of AOEs.

    Fun?

You should really make an effort to get above the teens. Powers-wise, you'll get your AOEs and controls, and more slotting which is a great confidence builder. You will be able to look at a large group of enemies and think "yeah, I think I can take most, if not all of them out, before I go down!"

Which leads to another encouragement to join more teams. On a team, you can experience large enemy groups regularly. Well, you can get large enemy groups in Hazard zones, but a team can give you a little back up.

In addition, with large teams, you will have a better chance of having that gung-ho idiot who'll keep things interesting. Whether you're trying to keep him alive or you're trying to keep yourself alive as you're immersed in his mess, every day will be an adventure. And who know, maybe you'll get to the point where you're that gung-ho idiot because you're that good.

    Targeting Macros

Just curious, do you have the Pet window enabled and open?
    For example.
note: the "Pets" link on the Team window's header bar. If you don't see it, then you'll need to enable it in Menu-->Options. My Pets window is showing my Gun Drone (*/Devices) and my Blue Wisp (vet buff pet).
  6. Fly is my preferred mode of travel, so I have it on all my characters (except for the Warshade). For my Emp and Rads, I also took Superspeed to help with those times I try to cover a split team.

  8. I don't think there's anyway to turn it off. You could always go to a higher level zone and get yourself killed a few times to clear it out.
  9. I picked up a few Miracle triples on the cheap (< 100K Inf) prior to the Market merge when they were being dumped. After the merge, they were going for 5 million, but I held them because I've seen them go to 20-25 at times (pre-merge, both sides). A few weeks later, it looked like they were settling in at 15 million, so I figured it was as good as it was going to get for now. I put half a dozen of them up for 12.5 million across 3 characters. The going price immediately tanked to 5-8 million. It had been easing on up, but kept bouncing off a hard resistance at 12 million. I finally had a couple sell this week.

    Flight speed

If you're looking at your flight speed via the Combat Attributes window, I believe the blue color on the value indicates that you've hit the cap for that attribute.
  11. That was unexpected, but I laughed!
  12. Also, hero and villain markets have been merged.

    Email mixup

Can I have the rest of your stuff?
  14. The server selection is screen is organized as:

at top = last server you went into
    server with current least load
    .
    .
    .
    server with current highest load

Typically Freedom has the most consistent highest load followed closely by Virtue. Virtue is also the unofficial RP server.

Note: even on low-pop servers, there's usually decent activity via the server's global channels.

    Batman Fan-Film

    Pretty cute.

The credits were almost as long as the film itself.

If you have a level 12 character with Swift, when I19 hits they will not gain anything. They will retain access to the Fitness pool, can choose Health as their level 14 power (or 16, or 18...) and can take Stamina at level 20 as normal.
Wow. I had read that paragraph several times over the past month or so and my brain kept glossing over that sentence. Still, even though I'm clear on that now, I don't see any significant need to rush for a respec. I wouldn't be able to allocate slots to the Fitness powers any earlier than I would now without them being Inherent.

I'm well aware of powers that are decent with just its default slot. I'm already taking them into consideration and using them as necessary when I build my characters. Particularly during the 20s level ups when I'm really squeezed by too many powers and not enough slots to assign. In fact, Swift and Health are two such powers I've used for this purpose.

    SG name change?

Well, how long has the SG been in existence. If you haven't put a lot of effort into it yet, it may be better to bite the bullet now and start over before you get even more committed to it (ie Prestige production).

here's the part about inherent fitness

    Fitness Pool Powers are Inherent

Fitness Pool powers are now inherent powers granted to all new and existing characters starting from Level 2. All characters will be granted Swift, Hurdle, Health, and Stamina. These powers can be slotted and will accept the appropriate Enhancements.

Existing characters with these powers selected via Pool Powers will be able to gain the powers they have not previously taken via the normal leveling process. They will not gain access to any of the Inherent fitness powers until they Respec.

Upon using a Respec, the Fitness pool will not be selectable by the character and all 4 powers will be granted as Inherent Powers at level 2. This prevents issues with lost enhancements or slot allocation errors.

So if you dont have fitness selected on an existing character, then it becomes inherent, no respec needed? if you do have it selected then you will only get it after a respec?

Im just a tad confused, sorry. I have some freespecs right now that I can be using to remove fitness if this is the case.
My interpretation of the highlight paragraph is that:

For example, I currently have the Fitness pool on my character. I have the typical Swift, Health and Stamina selected and slotted.

When Issue 19 launches and Fitness becomes Inherent, I will automatically get Hurdle added to my Inherent powers category (with its default slot). I will still have Fitness (containing Swift, Health and Stamina) occupying a Power Pool allocation. If I do nothing, it stays this way, ie I will still have all 4 of the Fitness powers and their slotting, and I'm still out a Power Pool allocation.

The next time I use a respec, all 4 Fitness powers will automatically show up as Inherent powers. Fitness is no longer available as a Power Pool. I will have the ability to choose 3 additional powers and have a Power Pool allocation available.

My only concern, which had been brought up by others, is that even though Fitness becomes Inherent, I will still be slotting them out as I had before. In fact, for all the current powers I already have, I had already min/maxed their slotting to the best of my abilities. Fitness becoming Inherent offers the side effect perk of being able to select 3 new powers. This is nice except for the downside of my not having any spare slots to assign to them. Most powers require more than their default slot be be really good or useful.

    QUIT button woes

Well, I can't help you about the Quit Team button, but maybe you just need some adjustments to your UI ergonomics.

    Minimize mouse travel:
    - move the Team window right next to you powers tray
    - move the Speed Boost power button (and Increased Density) to the button #1 slot of you power tray (tray #2 or #3).

    Use binds:
    - if you don't like to be so clicky, you can consider using the Numpad bind in this example at paragonwiki.

    Split up the job:
    - when it is time to reapply SB, only do half the team, pause to spend some time to attack or set controls, then go back and do the other half of the team. This way, everybody's SB isn't expiring at the same time.

I ask this because I like to wipe my hard drive every 6 months and don't want to pay for another digital copy. Ill spend the extra $10 in the store to get the DVD if I have to but would like to know if I download the digital copy is it there as long as I keep up my account?

    2. I see Going Rouge has a price on it. Will I have to pay the extra $15 a month on top of a COH/COV fee for this expansion?
Similar to when COV launched, all its content is in the game. You just need to enable/unlock the Going Rogue expansion by buying the serial code. You will upgrade your game account by applying the serial code to it. It's all one game, so it's still the same $15/month subscription.

The game client is downloadable at anytime from your NCSoft account management website. I forget if the ftp site is still working. You can download the game client to every computer you have access to. All you need is the user & password of your paid up account and you can play where ever you are. There's a guide in paragonwiki on copying your game files to a CD if you don't want to wait the couple of hours for a download.
  21. Since you're asking such basic questions, we'll probably have to step back a bit and go over the basics.

Starting off, in case you didn't know, on your powers tray, you see a bunch of links on it's header bar. Click on the "Enhancement" link to enter the Enhancement Management screen. You should see all your current powers and the slots you allocated during your level up. Assuming you haven't put any enhancements into them yet, they'll be empty.

What enhancements to get depends on the power you want to slot up.

For attacks, most players slot 1-2 accuracies, up to 3 damages, and either 1 endurance reduction or 1 recharge. Of course, it also depends on how many slots you've allocated to the power. If you only have a few slots, start with the accuracy because nothing else matters if you can't land that attack.

For armor type powers, you'll want to slot 3 of the appropriate defense or damage resist enhancement and 1 endurance reduction.

For mez type powers (immobolize, holds, confuse, etc), treat them similar to attacks except use the appropriate mez enhancement. Note: for controllers, the AOE controls have an inherent -accuracy penalty, so 2 accuracy is a must to compensate for the penalty.

Note: when you have an enhancement in your inventory tray (while in the Enhancement Management screen), you can click on the enhancement and screen will dim. Only the powers that can take that enhancement will stay lit ("highlighted"). This feature isn't particularly useful with regular enhancements like SOs, but may come in handy when you use IOs.

As you're playing, you will get enhancement drops. You can slot the useful ones if they're better than what you have. You can also use them to combine with already slotted enhancements of the same type to increase the level of the enhancement. Note the increase level still needs to conform the the +3 max limit.

To combine an enhancement, click the (already) slotted enhancement you want to affect, you will go into the Combine screen. You will see animation of your enhancement moving to the combine position. Click the extra enhancement you have in your inventory and (if it is allowed) it will move up to the combine position too. Then press the Combine button. Depending on the difference in levels between the slotted enhancement and your extra, there is a percentage chance for a successful combination (100% if both are the same level, 90% if one is -1 level, 80% if one is -2 levels, etc.)
  22. Well, the 2 free respecs are to accommodate characters who are using both of their dual builds. If all your characters only have the 1 build, there's no rush. Unless you just like having a free respec available.

Recipes and crafting are for Invention Origin enhancements. If you find that they are too complicated, you can avoid them for now. They're an optional aspect of the game. You can just buy the regular enhancements from the Origin enhancements stores. NOTE: don't by them from your contacts, they rip you off.

I'm assuming you know how to identify the stores on your mini-map, right? At your current character level, you ought to be using Single Origin enhancements. Level 30s in particular. Go to Talos (the stores are easiest to get to there) and find the store for your Origin. Go into the store and click on one of the store NPCs. You will see a lot of enhancements with funky names. Ignore the names, they're just for roll playing purposes. Enhancements follow a consistent color scheme, for example: yellow is always accuracy, red is always damage, etc. If necessary, right click on the enhancement for Info to see what it really is.
