Trying to email myself some money, IOs, salvage, recipecs etc. But when i try to email myself at @Relentless Juggernaut or @Invincible Juggernaut, both say that the names are too long. I've bugged this but i heard on the Justice United channel that someone had the same problem a week ago and there was a solution. I've searched the forums and gooogle, but haven't seen anything about this.
I was wondering if anyone has a solution to that problem? The email from NCsoft was just about bumping it up the ladder.
I could change my globals, but until i find some globals open i like, this is a problem. -
Farmers always aim for defense. Either 45/45/45 Melee/Ranged/AoE. Or 45 S/L and do an AE arc with only S/L enemies. The best spine/dark i saw had Oblit slotted in dark regen for more defense, since with all the defense it had, it didn't even need to heal.
Change death shroud and spine burst with oblit. One more slot to stamina for the AoE defense. Maybe 6 slot melt armor with shield breaker. Tough with Aegis for more AoE. Superjump with 3 BotZ for KB prot and more defense. Maybe siphon insight or cloud sense in cloak of fear. And why shield wall proc and panacea proc but no glad armor proc? 3% def is better than a big more regen or 3% res imo.
Aim for defense. I'm not sure if that build could farm, but it wouldn't be up there with the ele/shields or other high end farmers. -
Personally when I play any of my brutes, I don't think about tanking. All I care about is filling my comic book role of a brute and killing everything as fast and as stylish as possible.
I run in first because I want enough aggro to get my fury up so I can kill them all as fast as possible. Not to protect my team.
A Brutes role is simply SMASH!!
I play my brutes solo the same way I play on teams. Now, I'm a little considerate as i won't leave ones behind or run into the mob or go the wrong way like I may when I'm solo, but I kind of ignore my teammates. I'm a brute, my job is to smash em, nothing more.
The Pros will always stay alive and the noobs will always die. I play on a team assuming everyone can take care of themselves, as I can on any of my toons. If someone dies, it's their own fault. Going back to taunt them off of them just slows me down and makes me smash less.
A good brute kills everything, a good tank protects their team. -
Sorry guys, I think I'm a little too old to be doing this sort of thing now. I got my answer, surprisingly. Thanks again, but I don't plan on returning.

Mids states that a gladiator's strike proc has a 33% chance to do damage when used against players and the usual 20% against critters. Which completely makes sense, since it is a PvP IO. But I haven't heard anyone ever mention this and I don't see where it mentions this in the actual game.
Just wondered if anyone else confirmed this. If it would be any better than a mako proc, and if it's unresisted just the same as one. -
Quote:Well it took a while, but it looks like i have my own title instead of just being called Zen shadow all the time. And yea, never thought jokes would help getting the point across. The difference between Sentry4 and Choake is that Sentry4 was 100% serious.
Justice is still good, somehow vince brought back his old pre-i13 pvper friends, and JR chased out some of the freedom melees with phase.
I didn't post here for about 4 years, so it's not like i have some attachment. If someone comes here with the same ideas as me, and eventually they will, as i have come after other pvpers with these same ideas, don't bother thinking it's me with a new account. It's not like i can start over, just saying my opinion i'll somehow gain the rep of Zen and Tiger again.
There are people out there with the same perferences as me, justice is full of them, just the forums usually aren't. I said i wouldn't bother saying anything if i was the only one who believed it. I'm more or less the voice of some people who don't want to come here and get made fun of. -
Yes! You are my hero, thank you
-
I go to manage my enhancements, and when i hover my mouse over the enhancements, nothing shows up. The same when i put my mouse over my health and wait. This is the only character it happens with, and so i think i may have just hit a wrong button.
Anybody ever have the same problem? Any solution? Trying to rebuild my scrapper and i have no idea what enhancements he has in his build. -

Quote:What if Freedoms best player just suddenly switched all his toons to Pinnacle? Would Pinnacle become the best pvp server then?the quality of what i consider to be the top tier of freedom would wreck justice's top tier easily.
easily.
It's more then just the 'best' player.
The best players are not bound by servers. You don't need to go to Freedom to become the best, nor Justice. We can exclude them because the best player may be on some server completely unknown, or maybe he quit a year ago.
Both Servers have high end game play. What Justice doesn't have is a bunch of easy button toons camping each other at base.
I don't perfer Justice because it has 'more' of anything. It has 'less' annoyances and aggressive players. -
Quote:That tru warrir stuff started on freedom. You guys are the ones who have the idiotic duels without movement. If you use insps you are not tru warrir
If you use travel powers you are not tru warrir
If you kite you are not tru warrir
and suddenly i just got awesome idea....
how about FC Police moves to Justice to bring order to those lost souls?
We're fine with melees kiting, as long as they don't just run in circles for 10 mins so they can say they didn't die.
I fought a claws/regen on my ss/invul. I found i can pump nearly as much damage as usually and keep some distant. Jumping away with KoB and using Hurl, it takes a few seconds out of his chain (which is important with follow up) while not affecting mine at all. He was completely fine with the logic of that and we were fine it being a tie.
If running or kiting limited my damage at all, then i wouldn't have, but because he followed me everytime i could use my melee attacks right after hurl.
I did have a fight against a regen in the arena (atlas park). And after going through all of his heals and defenses, he just ran at capped super speed for the next 2 mins until everything came back. I can't kill a kiting regen, no melee should be able too.
^ That is the situation i try to avoid by going to Justice. Good thing it's only happened once. -
Quote:freedom lately is like justice was back in i6-8 except freedom still simply has more bodies. i can understand these guys clinging to their home server as it was hard for me to start over, especially if you go alone, but maybe if you all make the switch together and form your own sg/vg on freedom it wont be so bad?
if you let this opportunity pass and you dont make the switch you will only have yourself to blame when you are faced with empty zones and a dead /ac.
i know its popular to bash justice lately but alot of the better people on freedom came from other servers. in fact, native freedom players havent really shown me much skill to be in awe of tbh.. its mostly a bunch of people using the same couple builds they know will win(elec/therm psi/em etc.) with no attempts to experiment. still, in the end i'd rather fight a sea of randoms who's skill is unknown to me than a handful of people that i know will only play a certain way.
I actually went to Freedom about a year ago with Leroy. I was surprised to see SC alive, when it was completely dead on Justice. But it just wasn't the same there, it was just a ghost of the zone i originally enjoyed. RV wasn't any different for me.
The main arguments i hear of why some choose Justice over Freedom were just too many people and no FotMs.
I mean i'm leveling up my PB to PvP, just because nobody is playing one. And my invul scrapper is 41.
Though it's true we all kind of know each other on the server, and how each other play. But that doesn't mean there is never a surprise. It can actually be more surprising. Someone will know the attack chain of a psi/em or how to fight a thug/pain, but then you have deal with things like a Plant dom, or a dark melee brute.
As for fighting a random sea of people, yea it's all preference.
Justice won't die. I've already heard from some of our best players that they are not leaving. -
Quote:No. I've run into blasters who are melee the entire fight, and i advise them to move around more. We like a challenge, and a blaster in melee isn't usually one.Yeahhh, I am kinda on the same mind set... I like small arena fights... or a zone which doesn't have multiple teams camping one side of the other... My experience on freedom was I kill a few stalkers with my fire/em, next thing I know I have 6 stalkers constantly trowing sharks at me for the next hour... Whilst you can find good fights on freedom arena, to me the zone is wrecked unless your there for the drops.
Question is, will i get griefed if I go to Justice and use superjump... or inspies in arena fights etc... I would be down for maybe bringing a toon to fight.. but if I have regens telling me i have to go toe to toe with them on a blaster then I wont bother.
SJ is fine, nobody can complain about a travel power.
I actually don't fight with inspirations, but i don't get super angry if someone else does. I actualy hold a handful of small ones incase someone i fight uses them. Even in a random zone encounter, i don't pop unless they do and i don't summon shivans if they don't either. I put my heavy on passive and only use it if they have one as well. Usually for Black Mute, he always brings a heavy.
Of course that's just me, i know plenty of PvPers who use inspirations in fights.
The reason i left freedom was to get away from the millions of regens who cried when you did something unexpected or simply win. I just can't handle being in a zone full of that kind of stuff.
@Relentless Juggernaut is my global if you decide to put one on Justice, even just for trying it out. -
Defense can be good, and i always prefer a challenge like SR
-
The Kat/SR can be really fun with swift+hurdle+sprint+quickness+ninja run+Gift of the ancients
With elude it hits around 90.
Without elude the speed is a little slower then super speed, although i never notice unless i'm running beside someone. But the control you gain is amazing. There are a lot of movement techniques i cannot pull off with my other characters using super speed. -
-
Regardless of my disagreement, you can look at the average and see which server has the better quality of good players. Justice is usually only filled with skilled players, and that is something rare across all servers.
-
Quote:Freedom offers a kind of PvP i don't want to play. I would advise the people who enjoy team vs team to go to freedom and those who prefer 1v1 to go to Justice. Quality over Quantity. I cleared my global ignore list and filled it back to the top in a few days of pvp there. Only ever ignored 3 people on Justice, and never a regular PvPer.I have moved one or two back and forth in the past. Now with the free transfers I've moved all of my PVP toons and a couple farmers over to support them. I left a few PVE toons on Justice for the occasional "Hello!"
After a three month hiatus I came back to practically empty zones with the occasional fight club. Freedom just has more of everything so it was time for a complete move.
Rather than fragment the PVP community even more I'd recommend all other PVPers move to Freedom as well because I suspect most other servers (save Virtue) will be suffering a decline in PVP population in the coming weeks. So it might as well be on one or two servers to keep up the level of play instead of spread out. -
I didn't know you could read that much, and for some reason i doubt you did.
Nah We've wrecked one too many threads with conversations like these. I'll answer any real questions, but otherwise i don't want a mod to come and close this thread because of the little fights we always have. -
I talked to the Masta General before I posted this message, and hopefully he wont mind if I take over a bit. Although I would have said it a bit differently, I agree with the idea hes presenting.
Ive played on Justice for quite a while and Ive heard of the legends that left before I arrived. Mercury you were definitely one of them, that Dev blaster was amazing and I saw that first hand. And Ice knight i recently saw your Ice/ss tank in a pvp event, good stuff.
Its all preferences. There are times when I enjoy a Freedom like atmosphere, where the zone is filled with heroes and villains and there are constant battles. But I always go home to Justice. Its always been more peaceful. That being said, it doesnt mean that the PvP is childs play there. Most of us are into 1v1s. And the battles can be hardcore because the numbers on both sides are not a factor; its just 1 versus 1. I just recently met some people who werent enjoying PvP because every time they would stand under Atlas they would get swarmed by 10 heroes or villains. I told them to try Justice.
Justice just provides another option and style of PvP. We do not attack everyone we see. We want to prove who the better player is, and so we wait until both are ready and try to make the fight as fair as possible to get the answer we are all seeking after. Who is the best between the two?
Justice RV is mostly about becoming a better player. There is something to learn from every battle if you observe close enough. I have seen people who are new at PvP get really good at it from watching every duel that went on.
The numbers are not near freedom, and with these free server transfers it is almost absolute that we will lose people. But I, as well as some others, have switched to freedom only to return back. Those who leave Justice and never come back they were freedom players all along, and they work much better in their own environment. For those who go and come back, they will be the true Justice players. This event is working as a filter between the true Justice PvPers and ones who were just stuck there.
I would rather watch 2 skilled players duel then 30 newbies duke it out. Im not saying freedom doesnt have skilled players, and I know they do because some of the Justice players have transferred in the past, but they are drowned out by the PvPers who dont even know how to enhance. Ive always seen it as the good players kill the bad, because there are good and bad on both sides. And every now and then you are stuck up against 30 people without a chance to blink. This is not my idea of fun, although I know it seems to be for the mass amount of people. Getting kills can be easy on freedom when you find a level 40 defender walking around.
These server transfers are going to purify Justice and make the server more true to itself then ever before. For those who want money and PvP recipes, your best bet is Freedom because of the numbers. For those who just want to prove their ability in a 1v1 fight with some of the greatest duelers across servers, then Justice is a viable option.
So Im not here to trash Freedom or Virtue, for a lot of people those are the best options. All this post should be about is showing people there is another door they can walk through. If freedom pvp is not for you, there are other choices. They are very different. I have been on both sides and made my choice of fighting 1v1s, and so maybe some of you are missing this side, one you could enjoy even more.
Justice RV isnt dieing, and it never will as long as it has even 5 skilled players within the zone.
Also feel free to ask any questions you may have on this thread. -
Quote:Nah i've seen vince's stalker repeatly AS a tank to death. Massive recharge on AS and placate, while having procs in other attacks to steadly bring them down.Even without caltrops or quicksand, if a tank or scrapper manages to get killed by a single stalker, there's something very wrong with that tank or scrapper.
But on something like a WP/shield/invul with a lot of health, where unresisted damage doesn't really matter, i can't imagine a stalker taking them down.
And a regen scrapper should never die from a stalker, should be able to take 2, up to 4 with caltrops. -
I've been told that em/regens are about the only ones who can 1v1. EM is the only primary to do enough damage out of hide, although i've seen some great ele stalkers do good damage as well. Regen is still awesome, even as a stalker. But i've looked at WP and would look at that as well.
The problem being a 1v1 stalker is, if you facing a scrapper with caltrops, or a tank with quicksand, you basically can't win. Assuming your opponent hasn't gone completely offensive, like a dm/sr that relies on elude.
Stalkers are best on a team, and can't usually take a non-squishy solo.
But final answer would be em/regen. -
Quote:YepFor some reason I thought I read you settled on nin as your secondary. Defense can still be viable if you spend enough inf on your build. Nin being the best defense choice since it has a self heal. Regen is probably the best for fite klub style duels. WP is great for zone and team pvp but I doubt it would fair well in da fite klub.
Your best bet would be to PM sentry4 on this topic. -
and no, i'm not back. Just waiting for something else.
