  1. Thanks for the build Blissful. It's definitely nice to be able to see someone else's take on it and it gave me a few pointers. Out of curiosity (as I don't have Mids'), what is the recharge on Energy Drain with your slotting? (I am most definitely going with the Spiritual Alpha for the extra recharge, healing and stun)
    Currently I'm trying to acquire Hero Merits so I can get the Kinetic Combats, those suckers are so damn expensive at WWs lol. The only power in your build that I don't see myself taking is Focused Accuracy. For some reason I just never liked the power because of its large end. drain, and the fact that it's now super easy to get +40-50% accuracy from sets (I used to have it on a few of my scrappers and the only time it ever really got used was if I was fighting a bunch of Rikti drones and I felt like it just sat there unused 95%+ of the time). But other than that, thanks for the awesome build to look at.
  2. Over double XP weekend I wanted to try a Brute. I was always told that EA sucks so I decided I needed to see if it was really as bad as most people said. Personally, I don't think it is all that bad and I have been able to solo pretty easily since I got SOs (been running at +1, x2). This is one of my favorite characters to play at the moment and, although I tend to solo more, he usually does just fine on teams. Only problem he really has is heavy hitting Psi mobs (I loathe fighting Arachnos with him lol). I'm about to hit lv.45 with him so i'm looking into some IO sets to soft cap him (I already have the +3% Defense IO). My problem is that I play on a Mac so I don't have my wonderful Mids' Designer anymore. I just threw a build together by using Wentworth's to get all the values and trying to calculate everything on paper, definitely not as easy as using Mids' lol. So, I was just looking at some feedback for this build I came up with. Thanks for any help.

  4. So, I decided I wanted to try out a Dom and heard that Fire/Fire/Fire was a beast with Perma-Dom. So far, at 28 he's pretty fun to play. I just threw this IO build together on Mids and was able to get Hasten about 1.5 secs from Perma. I want to be able to pump out tons of damage and run TFs with this guy when he hits 50. I will most likely go for the Alpha slot that lowers endurance costs (can't remember the name right now). I just want to hear what you guys think of this build. I know it'll be expensive with the 3 purples, but I want to know if it will be good with all of the focus on recharge and endurance recovery.

  5. So, I just got this character to 50 and was looking to put together an IO build cause I really enjoy playing her. I've been running TFs with her and in all of the extended fights, because of Rad. Infection and Enervating Field, I seem to be gasping for endurance even with Conductive Aura. So I tried to build for +End. and +Recovery bonuses, along with a little +recharge. I got +9% End., and 30% recovery. Since i'm not overly adept at putting builds together I thought I'd post what I came up with here for any input. Thanks in advance.

  6. Wow thanks for all the input guys and gals. So far I'm only at 26, and I am running as a Fort right now, I love all the Psy-AoE attacks so far. But as some suggested, I think I'm gonna do dual build with the second one being a Night Widow just so I can at least try both of them out and get a feel for them.
  7. With I-17 I finally get to roll a VEAT. I decided to go the Widow route but am not sure which branch, Night Widow or Fortunata, is more fun to play. I want to be somewhat AoE centered and I like running ITFs in the late game. But other than that, which one do you people who already have one find more fun to play. Thanks for your input.

    "Display driver igfx has stopped responding" - That's the exact message i get. Then the game stops working and I have to restart it. I solo'd a handful of missions, then joined a team. We hit the first mob and CoH crashed. So it's only when teaming for some odd reason.

    I do not know how to check what video card I have or what version of drivers I have.
    (My laptop is just over two years old)
  12. Ever since Issue 17 went live every time I get on a my game crashes. This has happened more than half a dozen times the past two days. I made a Widow when the new Issue came out and have only been able to solo with her, when I solo the game doesn't crash, but the moment I enter a mish with a team and we hit the first mob everything goes black. Without fail, every time I have teamed since Wednesday my game has crashed. Then I get a little message saying something like my Device Driver has crashed and that it is now operating again. This never happened before. This happening to anyone else, or am I the only lucky one?
  13. I don't know if this is my graphics card or not but my problem is the game keeps crashing. When the new Issue came out I rolled a Widow, soloing her is fine, but when I get on a team my game crashes. Has happened four times already tonight so I am forced to solo with her. Never had any problems with the game crashing while I was on teams before the Issue came out. When it happens my screen goes black and then the game doesn't respond. Then I get a pop-up saying that my Display Drive crashed and that it's now working again. I don't know what to do other than not team with her. Haven't gone to see if this happens while teaming blue-side but I will do that momentarily.
  14. Thanks for the input guys. The hit to BoTZ sucks, but I can build around it. In this new build I added the Kismet +Acc IO, dropped One With the Shield and picked up Maneuvers. I changed a few slots around and put a full set of Performance Shifter in to Stamina. Also added the two uniques to Physical Perfection. After the decrease to BoTZ this build will have (if my math is correct): 47.3% Melee, 43.5% Ranged, and 45.3% AoE. Here it is, any other input or help is welcomed. Thanks guys

  15. This is the build i've been working towards with my lv.50 BS/SD scrapper. I'm sitting at 40.1% Melee, 43.8% Ranged, and 41.3% AoE defense. I only one more Obliteration set to put into Shield Charge for this build to be finished which will push my melee up to 43.8%. So far I've been able to pretty easily farm BM set for +2 x 8. I'm just trying to get some input on this build and see what y'all think about it, see if I can maybe raise all my defenses past 45%. I'm trying to stay away from purples and I plan on buying the Miracle and Numina uniques and putting them in Physical Perfection (or should i put them in Health and Stamina?) sometime in the future. Any input is welcome, and thanks for any help.

  16. Just a small problem im habing:

    In the Combat Attributes window when I look at my Regen values it is telling me
    Integration: .63% (6.34 hp/s)
    Fast Healing: .42% (4.22 hp/s)

    But when I right-click on the icons under my health and endurance bars it tells me this:
    Integration: 1.46% (14.78 hp/s)
    Fast Healing: .83% (8.45 hp/s)

    Why are the values different? Which one is the correct value?

    Theres the build that I used to level up. I have another build with IOs in it thats gets ~42% defense to all positions (without using weave), just let me know if you wanna see it. I'm sure theres other, better builds out there but this worked for me and got me to 50 just fine.
  18. So I decided to create my first villain and wanted to try a MM. I just hit 30 and so far this combo works well. Having my two Jounin and Oni Forged definitely ups their damage potential and the shields deaden the damage enough to give me time to get heals off. But I have a question on power picks now. I'm debating picking up the leadership pool but I don't know if Maneuvers/Tactics or Assault/Tactics would be better. Looking at the numbers, Maneuvers only give like 2.6% defense unslotted which seems like it would be a wasteful toggle to run, but I don't know if it would help out their survivability by stacking with Ninja defense. If I don't go the leadership route, then that opens up two more powers for me to pick and, once again, I don't really know what to pick.   20. So my Elec./Elec. Scrapper is going to hit 40 soon, so I decided I need to plan out an IO build for him. The only experience I have with IOs is soft-capping the defense of my /Shields and /SR scrappers which is basic. With Elec being resist based I don't know where to start. I wanna use him to run TFs, Trials and Raids when he hits 50. So I was wondering what should I focus on with IOs. Regen & Recovery, Recharge, Damage? (And what IO sets would I use for these) I don't know. So if anyone has any ideas please help me out. Here's his build that I plan on taking to 50 with just SOs or regular IOs:

  21. This has been happening to me for the past hour or so. I play on Freedom, hero side. I've been trying to enter this mish for the past hour (6ish times i've tried to enter it) and every time the game just stops loading. I let it go for a good 20 minutes and there was still no loading progress. It let me zone from Steel to IP and then back to Steel but still wouldn't let me in my mish. Have to say this is highly annoying.
