Um... it is working now.
-
This is clearly part of the New World Order. We must put an end to this madness.
-
Hm... the only mapping oddity I ever noticed is that floating pile of rubble in Boomtown.
-
Quote:Hm... Fire/* again. I'm beginning to see a pattern here.
While it's bad form to necro this, I just wanted to note that I recently ran my Fire/Pain Corruptor over Kadabra Kill. Had to chew a couple of inspirations (because the bastid had help from the Lost he was fighting) but it wasn't difficult at all to take him down. -
Don't worry guys, we're safe from the Peruvian Gods and their Jerk Hacking minions. I have them all burried in legal paperwork.
-
My Mercs/Pain plays just fine. I don't see anything "suck" about her minions at all.
-
What surprises me is that this is actually a business. I mean, wtf?
-
Fair enough. But I've seen more of the former scenario being advertised on Broadcast as "farm," so it's very clear that a rose under any other name is still a rose. Even if you want to argue otherwise.

And farming is not working for your Inf.
[/ QUOTE ]
Could you elaborate on this?
[/ QUOTE ]
Have you ever seen a farm? It's the most ridiculous concept of "gaming" that I have ever seen, because it isn't even playing. You've got a couple high level players beating up the threats while lower level players just sit around and watch, soaking up the XP and Inf.
That's not working for your reward. That's not even playing. -
Oh sure... if you turn off XP, and keep the character at the same low level forever and ever for whatever demented reason you got kicks off of, he'll be the richest lowbie ever. But I'd rather keep my characters progressing.
And farming is not working for your Inf. -
Corruptors: 2
Tanks: 2
Brutes: 2
Masterminds: 1
Blasters: 1
Scrapers: 1
Stalkers: 1
Controllers: 1
Dominators: 1
Defenders: 1
And the epics I haven't unlocked yet. Considering I've only been experimenting with at least one of each archetype, I expect these numbers to change. Although, I usually select the archetype that seems appropriate for the concept. -

Lol@ 5 million being a nice fortune.

Hey... the character I received the Inf on is only Level 8. I don't know many Level 8s running around with that much in their pocket otherwise. I usually make my toons work for their wealth. -

2. Use the Market to transfer influence by having one character buy a cheap item placed on the Market by your other character for a lot of influence. It's a bit tricky to do and if you screw it up and someone else sells you the same item you put up yourself, then you've transferred all your influence to them instead of you.
[/ QUOTE ]
Heh. Indeed. I was the lucky receiver of a nice fortune just recently on one of my toons because of someone's botched Inf transfer. I asked for like only... 50 Inf for the enhancement, but I wound up with a hundred thousand times that. Oh well. At least that character's financial future is secure.
Sorry to whoever lost it to me, though.
[/ QUOTE ]
That doesn't prove they were attempting an influence transfer. They could have simply looked at the history of the past 5-10 sales and bid what they felt would get them an instant sale.
Not everyone wants to sit in the market and place bids in 5 inf increments.
Furthermore I routinely have people paying me millions of times more than my sales price at the market because I sell everything for 1 influence.
[/ QUOTE ]
It was a Level 6 enhancement. Who in their right mind would pay 5 million Inf for a Level 6 enhancement if it wasn't a botched Inf transfer? -

Boomtown. I hate Boomtown. Sure, it looks cool, but there's nothing to do in it beyond Babbage.

I actually did this mission like, 15 minutes ago.
Freak Tanks already do obscene damage, he took me from 3/4 health to zero in one swipe... git.
[/ QUOTE ]
I know! He's ridiculously overpowered. While my Mastermind was eventually able to kill the sucker after what seemed like an hour of melee, my Corruptor had to team to take him down.
Of course there'll be those elitists who say "eat more purples," but as I can tell you I was gobbling down five purples at a time... that didn't work.
The OP is very much correct to make this post. -
Oh god yes. I loled. I hate this guy. My Mastermind could barely solo him the second time around, and that allows for multiple target protection. o.o;
Dude, like Freakshow needed to be any more annoying, what with the flying juicer freaks, the meat doctors, the ability to come back to life after you killed them already, and every single one having Dull Pain.
But hey, at least they're not Circle of Thorns. Circle of Thorns makes me want to cry. Every time. -

I have had this question burning in my mind since i learned about Praetoria. What about Signature Villains what are they like.
[/ QUOTE ]
Praetoria was just the topsy-turvy Evil Earth where everyone has a goatee. The Carnies were the Carnival of Light and fought with the Praetorians. I don't think it'd be such a huge leap to think Lord Recluse is the benevolent ruler of a small resistance against the Tyrant's rule. Widow named such because Dominatrix caught old Wretch and tortured the simpleminded hero to death...Black Scorpion is still an idiot, but now a one-man war on injustice...and Captain Mako is a MERMAN. With lustrous golden hair.

And everything is a heroic Nemesis adventure? -
This should be the next Kill Skuls or WELL BE GONE TO THE AMERICANS.
-
Desdemona is a... "demon-summoning Mastermind?" Oh ho ho ho. I think I know for certain what the next powerset is.

For the Council jails, does anyone ever use the "hidden" side tunnel? It runs from the cells to near the entrance of the jail area and bypasses most of the spawns so you can actually make a break for it. It seems like it was designed for that.

Yes. -

Maybe you should get a new video card and change your graphics up a bit. Because I'm not seeing what you just described...
[/ QUOTE ]
I'm running max settings on everything.
You may be blind, one way or another.
[/ QUOTE ]
Then very clearly you need a new graphics card, because I do not see what you're seeing either. -
Yeah... I get this too. Both Sharkhead and Kings Row remind me of my home city's downtown and industrial areas.
It's Tacoma, if you're curious. Thankfully the residential, suburban zones look cleaner. Haven't seen anything in the game that looks like them yet.
(Does CoH even have residential suburban zones? I haven't seen anything that looks close....) -
I usually finish my story arcs As Soon As Possible when I start to outlevel them. That way they don't continue clutter the Clues tab while I move to the Next Big Thing.
