  1. Dunno but this 50 might rival Max for 'longest time on the edge of 50'.
  2. Bridger has given out Forum titles before for player organised events - Remember Wrestlefest for example?

    PvE, MA or BS?

When I look at MA I see a set that does mediocre damage, with stuns. So you can stun bosses and take them down without much risk.

The truth is the least risky way to take him out is with sheer power which is where Broadsword rules all Scrapper types.

I think MA gets good faster, but for general all around useful-ness I'd go Broadsword.

Arch you really go into every detail, that's almost too nice. You must be having a "i wanna do good day" And spectral terror is perma without recharge indeed, didn't check the numbers before, so fear duration would be better i concur.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Fugget Fear duration, the fear duration, I think, is trivial. It doesn't matter how long it lasts - it'll last long enough for you to kill 'em as it is, or it'll make them use a break free. Slot Ranges all the way.

"Stealth and toggle-dropping ruin the fun in PvP."

    [/ QUOTE ]

Fun is subjective, I don't think it Stealth & Toggle-dropping does ruin the fun but he does, nothing more to it really.
  7. Killed him twice, he was alone what'd you expect me to do?!
  8. [ QUOTE ]
Nah mixed. I know there was two lv 50s, one lv 35, a 24 (cant remember the other one).

    [/ QUOTE ]

And a 41. Though I killed everyone bar one 50 atleast once.
  9. Today I logged on to see about getting an Arena duel, shortly after logging on I saw someone Broadcasting that one of the founders, and leader of the Precision Rangers just hit 50. I attended his Atlas party, I watched them all cheer their leader - for one reason, and one reason only. This afternoon, I was going to wet my hands in Ranger blood!!!

Shynet gathered his lackeys for the ultimate fight to bring down the baddest Scrapper in the legendary Scrapapocalypse, even bringing out a mercenary from the infamous Three Lions.

    The outcome was... a draw

Chives left gutted, we had such good bets riding on it too. :/

this thread has bought to light the reasons I retired from pvp

    [/ QUOTE ]

I want to know if it's that you don't like the attention you get, or if it's simply Tenebrious' 'bitter' post.
  11. I've been told once or twice if I was "ready to die", so I waited for the AS, Healed up and used my lovely "You suck, $target." with a laugh Emote along side it, then proceeded to tear 'em a new one. My favourite thing ever is when someone has power over you, and you just turn around and give 'em a back-hand.

Well, that and AoEs are my favourite thing ever.

I feel that Phantasm is worth it simply to distract other people's pets with the decoy, or to drop right behind someone so it lets loose an extra lump of damage on 'em with Energy Torrent.

However unless I spend my entire time in level 50 missions, or recluses victory, something that is unlikely to happen FA is not availabe to me at all times. Having tactics in a build similar to NTrailz' build would give me the boost to perception/accuracy in Sirens Call and Warburg that could be handy. And to be honest I will have a play round on test and see if I can swap an accuracy for a recharge in each attack.

    [/ QUOTE ]

In your planned build you have Tactics after Focused Acc.
  14. As I understand it Total Focus is leaps and bounds ahead of Thunder Strike, plus it has Stuns as a secondary effect which is twice as good as sleep.

VERY very hard, I think only PFF and Phaseshift can; but it has a 4 second interruptible animation, locks you to the floor and medium range.

    [/ QUOTE ]

So tp foe makes it's owner a PvP god/goddess?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Incease Density and one of the Force Field buffs prevent it, too.
  16. [ QUOTE ]
The amount of people that were hugging someone with an AoE was stupid.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Call me cynical but that gave me a chuckle when I noticed you are a Stalker.
  17. Absolutely Superb, I love it when good art comes around - much better than all those Ranger Story garbage threads.
  18. Doc wins the thread, I reckon.

    Semi PvP DM/Rgn

It's not hard to make a Scrapper good at both, to be honest.

Get Body Mastery, seriously consider the Ranged attacks, try to fit speed in and go with either Jump/Flight, or both, DM's can make good use of Air Superiority, keep Soul Drain obviously, terrific in PvE, go with the usual attacks Smite/Shadow Maul/Midnight Grasp... Uh... anything else?

Oh yeah, I hear good things about Weapons Mastery for the -Fly and -Jump in web grenades - Though I wouldn't be sure about it on a DM Scrapper, you'd have to slot a lot of Acc to compensate for the loss of Body and I'm unsure if DM can make a decent enough attack chain with the loss of Recharge enhancements.

And I forgot to say - Get and slot Touch of Fear.

    ...perhaps Controllers....are tougher to play...

    [/ QUOTE ]

You have to be kidding right. Find a squishy, spam holds till said squishy is out of breakfrees, attack. V difficult.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I was talking about team PvP, if a Controller isn't careful about where he is and isn't sure his team is backing him up well enough, he gets swarmed and destroyed.
  21. [ QUOTE ]
I say drag back The_Question kicking and screaming and make him a mod.

    [/ QUOTE ]
  22. [ QUOTE ]
i don't how to put this...how about if the romans had a god/godess of PvP her name wud be Cherry

    [/ QUOTE ]

I would make Cherry a mod over everyone else on Union.
  23. [ QUOTE ]
But that's exactly WHY I say they take no skill. As a scrapper or any other AT, knowing when to attack and when to run does take skill. If you're going through the zone and are ambushed, being able to escape takes skill.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Doesn't that count for Stalkers, too?

    [ QUOTE ]
As a stalker, you can pick and choose your targets and deliberately pray on the weak. There is no fear of getting ambushed. If you approcha someone and they're not reacting, you know you've got an easy kill on your hands. If they do react by running or attacking, you know to run.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    The same applies to Scrappers.
  24. [ QUOTE ]
I would say stalkers are one of the most easiest and forgiving ATs to use due to there nature. Thus most people could do well playing a stalker. However, some people excel (wont mention names) with this AT and you can definetly notice a difference between an average stalker and a great one (in my opinion).

    [/ QUOTE ]

Good post, sums it up perfectly if you ask me.
  25. [ QUOTE ]
    Who are the Violators?

    [/ QUOTE ]

I thought similar, I thought they were on Defiant.
