Since i don't have any high level Blasters, Stalkers, Dominators or Corruptors, what would you say are the best AT's and powersets to bring for PvP in RV? (Excluding those 4 AT's of course.)
Generally speaking, if i do show up in RV, find no teams and get swarmed when i venture out of the base i don't stay very long. Saying "Well at least i got one of them down to 50% health before they got me" just isn't something i find very rewarding...
i don't have any actual PvP builds set up, but i can always throw something together. IIRC SS and SJ are still considered pretty much essential, and otherwise i guess i would focus on attacks that have the highest PvP damage rating.
(i'm not trying to denigrate your proposal, but i would like some suggestions for high level zone PvP. The last several times i was in RV i wasn't using anything intended as a PvP build, and noticed that most of my PvE combat-related set bonuses appeared completely useless in PvP.) -
And sometimes it suits the situation perfectly.
In this case it was:Quote:When i took a break from ToTing to clear out a mission or two.[NPC] Tindalaos: Heh. Eve Hallow. I've been itching to hand you your head.
Which was amusing because her (Eve Hallow, Axe/WP Brute) description says:Quote:You might not like me. That's okay, I can respond in kind. We'll skip off into the sunset holding each other's severed heads. It'll be a gas. -
Quote:They can if they have Regen, Willpower or the Medicine pool.ROFL your funny, no it's not. just put in your search comment your powers if your that worried. I know people that name their toons with the word healer in them and they can't heal at all lol.
i usually list my sets in the lft box anyway.
Nothing wrong with naming yourself Winter Something and using Earth/Earth. Names do not have to directly reference your powersets anyway. -
Quote:So a productive path is anyone who agrees with or supports your ideas, even if it's just slightly or partially?THAT is an excellent ideas as well, great!! Now we are heading in a more productive path.
And a non-productive path is anyone who critiques or disagrees with you?
Do you really think that making demands and (metaphorically) throwing tantrums counts as compelling logic that will get the Devs to reverse a stance they've held for over 5 years?
Your ideas intrigue me and i'd like to subscribe to your newsletter. -

Quote:Well it seems that friendly NPC's (unsurprisingly) use the same AI as other NPC's, so once a target is on their aggro list it doesn't matter if the target activates stealth abilities. i've had pets finish off invisible Spectrals for me many times. Occasionally taking them down as they return while still invisible. So it's not so much a matter of pathing as LJ following the Spectral wherever it goes once it aggroes her.It has more to do with the same phenomena that leads to Drunk Stagger foes that head off to the hinterlands. Once the AI makes a decision about where it's moving, it doesn't change that decision except under specific circumstances. So we have the Spectral run off, LJ decides to chase it. They both pick the same endpoint for their path and head to it, then the Spectral disappears. All within the space of less than a second.
My assumption is, that this problem is just as hard to fix as the drunk stagger for an escaping mob is.
i think the funniest is when a Lightning Storm does it for me: "Wasn't there another one?" *KABOOM* "Waaaaiiilllll..." "Right, moving on." -

Damn, that's a long time.
...
And i just realized how long it took me to register on the forums. Which is funny considering i started reading them immediately after getting the game. Compared to my current logorrhea i was positively mute back then. -

Quote:i generally just keep PB on auto, but i've still had a couple times where it dropped because i was constantly queuing attacks and never had a pause where it could fire. It was generally a timing issue where most of the team had wiped shortly before and i was too busy prioritizing targets and trying to make sure they died first to notice the PB buff icon.I usually manually click PB because there are times where an extra attack would've been better. Just a timing thing, give or take a few punches.

Quote:QFMFTAnd you are completely ignoring the fact that the server load dots are just that: SERVER LOAD. They are not population. Freedom and Virtue have gotten server upgrades. As such, it takes, on average, a much greater population on those servers to reach red server load.
Also the second part of the post.
Things have been a little quieter than normal on a number of my global channels the last couple of weeks, but a fair bit of that has been because of people stating that they won't be on much for a while due to school and/or work load. Also, i know a number of people who haven't played any games for a while because they can't afford to pay for them right now. As soon as they have the money to spare they will be back, but there are a lot of people right now who can't justify ~$15 a month for a game.
On the flip side several in-game friends who i hadn't seen in a year or more have started playing again since i16 came out.
A few thoughts on the OP's "Seeds":
1) No, you're not sorry. So far you're apparently also not modest or supporting your position with convincing facts or an original argument.
2) There is a "Suggestions & Ideas" section of the forums. i'll bet you can guess what sort of posts should go there. (The OP is an excellent example.)
3) i think your suggestion is not a particularly good one, but many others have already given reasons why, so i'll just suggest re-reading those posts.
4) There is no number 4.
5) No pooftahs!
6) 6 is now 4. Deal with it. -
Many teams i've run ITF's with will try to pull the healing Nictus to one side while keeping line of sight if we have two aggro magnets on the team to separate Rommy from the healing Nictus. More common is to buff up, rush Rommy and pound him into the pavement, run for cover when he drops and then repeat until he stays down.
One thing to keep in mind is that you get normal AV rewards each time you defeat Romulus, and no reward at all when you defeat a Nictus Essence except for having one less to annoy you. -

Quote:Exactly. There is a demand, and you are supplying it.
If you were doing something WRONG, you wouldn't be making any money.
It's like asking if it's wrong in real life to buy some silver and precious stones, craft it into jewelry and then sell it for more than the materials cost.
No. It isn't. -

Quote:i've noticed that most destructible objects make that noise now. Regular clickies still make the old noise.I don't know when they did this or if it was intentional, but I just ran the cape mission today and the Time Capsule is making a different sound now. Instead of the regular "glowie" sound, it's kind of a low-pitched mechanical pulsing noise. A little freaky actually.

i knew a player who used to post using "lol" instead of regular punctuation. i always suggest they try reading their posts out loud with a giggle or a laugh for every lol when someone writes like that.
It sounds more than a little demented and stupid. -
Quote:Which i thought was implied with "(The entire map becomes visible/filled in.)" part of my post. All the zone maps are dark when a character first arrives in the zone. In regular City Zones, there's a sort of dim outline of what's in the zone visible in places you haven't been, but in Hazard Zones it's just completely black. You don't know where anything is (can't activate the navigation markers for neighborhoods, etc.) until you've been there. That's the "fog of war".
Thus the dim/black/hidden areas of the map are covered by "fog of war", which is a term that comes to gaming from its use in war games. You remove the fog of war by exploring the darkened areas or using reveal. -
It instantly removes the fog of war from the map. (The entire map becomes visible/filled in.)
Edit: Description here. -

Well, many of those are "go see if the funny readings in dimension pudding-cup1276b are a malfunction" with the world-threat angle IMO being the contact blowing smoke up our *** because they think we'll be too proud to run their errands otherwise.
Quote:Faultline arcs [if you dont get the machine back, then its pratically goodbye earth]

Quote:Rikti war zone - speaks for itself.
Quote:Cimerora - to save the future, one must save the past [how we dont know, but its what we are told]
Quote:Circle of thorns - constantly trying to summon a powerfull demon into our world that'll conquer us all.

Quote:Nictus - Wants to destroy/enslave life
Quote:Devouring earth - see above (To be fair, at least the DE have made some progress in claiming some territory for their new order.)

*huh* Crimson and Indigo might disagree with you there.

Quote:Can we compromise on 22? That way i can dump the DO's and 15-20 IO's for SO's. (i'm one of those silly people that doesn't start seriously slotting IO's until 27+.)Level 24 feels a bit too far in a character's lifetime to branch (20 feels like it would be better). But on the other hand I've gone through the early Soldier levels 3 times so far and it's actually gotten more fun each time I did it.
