This thread is like Domino's Pizza: it delivers. It's also like Domino's in that i don't especially want much of what it delivers, and think they delivered to the wrong address, yet somehow it's perversely enjoyable for all that.

i tried that, but felt it was too unconvincing.

1) With AE i routinely buy the rare and uncommon salvage i need for recipes. i also do rolls for common salvage of the type and level range i need if it's a bit pricey on the market.

2) Anything i get from a roll that i don't have a use for i drop onto the market.

Actually, i use a dramacake mix as a base and add fresh ingredients as need or whim dictates. But then i'm a lazy sod.

Still, PK has some big pariah shoes to fill if he expects to top Skyppy's skills at making drama and being a half-stupid posterior headgarment. Ol' Skyppy worked mighty hard at being so unlikable that he eventually changed his name and server.

And he did it even while running multiple SG's.
His parting move was so classy that i doubt anyone will top it. Now THAT was high grade drama.

When I first moved to Champion it hardly had any drama at all compared to other servers, but that was over four years ago.

There are some RP types on the server, but AFAIK there aren't any really active RP groups going.
There used to be several RP-themed SG's on Champion that i knew of, mostly redside, but i haven't seen much in a while.

i RP on occasion if it suits the mood and the team, but generally my RP is more Deadpool than Dark Knight. Most of my characters are whimsical, irreverent lunatics, or somewhat megalomaniacal. Grim and brooding in large doses gives me hives.
(Yeah, i know RP isn't all gloomy angst-fests, and not everyone who RP's plays tortured characters with traumatic pasts, but far too many turn the drama queen slider to 12 for my tastes. )

Was that a question. Does that mean every sentence posted to this forum is a question.

i stand by Agge's response? After all, if it's obvious i'm making a statement then i don't need to use a period when stating it? That's just the way things work? So, if i was going to ask a question of some unspecified employee of Paragon Studios in a forum devoted to asking questions that are answered by other players then obviously i don't need to actually use appropriate punctuation when i do so? i'm glad we can all agree on that?

Which website are you referring to, the official website, some unspecified fansite or the wiki?

This is the forum for asking questions that other players can answer, but we have to know details regarding which players you're asking and a bit more specificity in the question itself.

Also, questions are more obvious when terminated with a "?", otherwise known, oddly enough, as a "question mark". Not using them for questions is slightly less confusing than ending all statements with a question mark.

The logical course of action if the OP's assertion (my bad, 'question') is true (true probably being the wrong term to use if it is a question, bit of a puzzler there i admit) would be to dissolve all SG's and rely solely on global channels for contact. Obviously then, everyone the OP has spoken to is not a member of an SG, and neither is the OP. With bases being useless and global channels being available in private and public flavors there is no reason to ever join an SG. So, has the OP and everyone it knows dropped all affiliations with any SG?
That is the logical thing to do if you have no use for bases. There is no other function provided by SG's that isn't equaled or better filled by other game features.

While i appreciate your concern for the appearance of educational deficiency and the lack of thought and consideration that you fear my posting opinions that disagree with your own may impart to myself, i would humbly suggest that perhaps you should look to your own posts to make sure they are exemplars of the virtues you are espousing before leveling such charges at the rest of us. It's not even the "pot calling the kettle black" so much as it is the "charred and stained pot calling the gleaming set of stainless cookware rusted away to nothing".

The above is my situation. i stock the base inspiration bins with EoE's for use in raids and occasionally use empowerment stations (which only exist in bases) in addition to what Bill posted.

Since i run a fair amount of blueside content there's a lot of places that Ouroboros won't take my alts that are high enough to even have access to the zone.

Base raiding was always at most an occasional diversion and never the focus of base usage. The base gives access to many convenient facilities in one place, including some that can't be found anywhere else. Finding a bunch of players on Freedom that think bases are useless is hardly compelling evidence. Freedom has a high enough population that you could probably find a bunch of players that all think the internet is a series of tubes, and that clicking on glowies in the missions of the hero respec trial makes more enemies spawn in the final room. (Which would be awesome even if it makes no sense from a mission design perspective, but unfortunately doesn't happen. Most of the teams i'm on would make a point of clicking every single glowy in the trial if it did.)

i would request that in the future the OP actually ask a question if they have one instead of insisting that the question's nature is implied by its absence. At least rhetorical questions are questions, even if the poster gets all huffy when it's actually answered.
