So in CO all characters with tails look like they're prepared to mate at all times?

Quote:IIRC velociraptors were about the size of turkeys, so they'd probably be better left for the swarm power and a larger species used for the tier one pets. Then again Allosaurs and Tyrannosaurs massed over a ton, so i have a feeling that accurate scale isn't a consideration.*BOGGLE*
Why on earth haven't I requested a Dino Mastermind before? He'd be limited to prehistoric weaponry, but you get the picture. (Creature selection limited to supported skeletons).
Dino Powerset
Spear - Ranged, Minor Damage (Lethal)
Call Velociraptor - Summon 1-3 Velociraptors
Poison Spear - Ranged Minor Damage (Lethal) Foe -Dmg, Foe -Rech
Encourage - Ranged Equip Dinosaur Henchman
Rain of Spears - Ranged (Cone) Moderate Damage (Lethal) Foe: Knockdown
Call Allosaurus - Summon 1-2 Allosauruses
Dino Swarm - Summons a swarm of approximately 10 velociraptors.
Call Tyrannosaur - Summon Tyrannosaur
Empower - Ranged Upgrade Dinosaur Henchman
Most people associate the name Velociraptor with the Deinonychus due to Spielberg combining the more imposing Deinonychus' appearance with the more impressive name of the Velociraptor.
Still who wouldn't want to command several 11' long critters like these?:
Amirite?
Edit: Actually, now that i think about it, Velociraptors being the size of turkeys could work for tier one pets, and use the 11' Deinonychus for the tier two pets.
Maybe one of the quadrupedal species for the tier three. -

Quote:And it's fairly common for venomous animals to use dry strikes when biting to conserve their venom even when they do bite. Venom usually represents a fairly large metabolic investment, so many animals avoid using theirs when trying to repel threats. So? Just becuase an animal or insect has venom, whatever kind, doesn't mean that it WILL bite.
Even many critters with reputations for aggressive behavior can be docile if handled properly. This of course does not apply to things like Box jellyfish. The most complex of jellyfish, they also have the most dangerous venom. -
Quote:Yeah, there's a huge difference in Posi runs depending on how experienced and/or small the team is.I bet Castle spit his coffee out when he saw the dataminers show how fast people were farming Merits from speed Posi runs, which were really fast and easy to duo or trio even before Super Sidekicking let you keep Stamina.
The other week i did a Posi duo that finished in a bit over 70 minutes IIRC. The team for that run was my lowbie 14-ish Scrapper and an IO slotted 50 Scrapper. The infamous rescuing FEMA workers from CoT mission is easy when you can just pop a few purples and lead the workers out through the ambushes.
Large teams with several newbies (or worse, several n00bs) can take over four hours. -
Quote:Just to elaborate on what Necrotech_Master posted: All procs placed in toggles only check when the toggle is first turned on and every ten seconds afterwards. However, target-affecting procs will check against every target in range whenever it does trigger.Since Hurricane activates 4 times per second, wouldn't any proc go off nearly constantly?
Generally speaking, target affecting procs are usually considered most effective when placed in short recharge powers or click AoEs. Ideally both. -
Quote:i will concede that actually having most spiders and centipedes on me triggers a reflexive action resulting in sudden extreme acceleration of the critter when i'm not forewarned. Dangerous spiders and centipedes creep me out when in close proximity, but not so much at a remove. All I can say after clicking that link is *ick* oh and thanks for the constant heebie jeebies. I can handle pretty much any bug and actually volunteered at the local zoo several summers teaching children the importance of all creatures great and small but on spider day's... I was sent home.
Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches are cute and interesting, spiders *shivers* NO WAY! bleh -
Quote:no u!Welcome to the game! I hope you and your daughter enjoy your time here.
A (hopefully unneeded) word of caution: Treat the game like any other Internet community and you'll be thankful for it.
(Sorry, i got here too late to actually contribute anything of substance.)
Seriously though, this is one of the best game communities i've encountered. Which is to say there are some jackholes, but even more helpful people. -
Quote:It's also virtually impossible with a team of players who do inherit the hover.MM pets don't inherit the hover from Group TP so it is impossible to chain TP with all your pets.
Tried it once with a full team and after about five hops only one teammate was still with me. The rest were left to drop at one of the previous hops. -

Oh.
For a second i thought this was a TMI type thread. -

Quote:Actually, according to the OP, we're all leaving anyway.* Of course the forum cartel neglected to inform me of this. Just like always. *sighs*What IS it with all the "doom trolling" going on lately? It's been old since i4.....and for you 5 yr vets, probably since i1.
*Though i suppose that it could also be taken to mean that we're already gone. My point about the forum cartel neglecting to tell me still stands. -
Quote:Awwww... So kewt!
(And no, Cleb, they most likely do not eat her. There are a number of predatory species, invertebrates and vertebrates alike, with young that are sheltered by their mother without consuming her. But if it makes you more secure in your image of the world to think that, who am i to stop you?) -

We're still waiting for the Carp Armor and Carp Melee for Tankers. Which won't be coming out until some time after Clown Summoning for Masterminds. Still, i think Scythes should be given at least as much priority.
Personally i would like to see a polearm/staff/spear melee set first. There are considerably more comics characters who use those. Perhaps even use the same tech Dual Pistols to switch between lethal/smashing/energy damage modes. -

You post that as if it was significant to the conversation. These threads tend to quickly turn into back and forth discussions even after the OP has already posted to say that they were done with the topic, and Doctor_Bob hasn't even done that.

Which seems terribly unlikely. How about 'unless they only make mail accessible at the character select screen?' i think it's just as likely.
It kind of sounds like trying to invent problems out of whole cloth to justify the otherwise unnecessary and less useful solution. -
Only somewhat. Mez resistance does help prevent mez stacking if the inital mez isn't enough to overcome your protection by making the mez wear off sooner, and for mezzes like knockdown and knockup it directly reduces the magnitude.
Also, under the old rules for mezzes the toggle would turn off, not just suppress, so you quickly lost the resistance anyway once you were mezzed and consequently detoggled... -
Quote:Mids' was taken over by the Titan Network IIRC after the Mids could no longer keep it updated. i don't have the link here at work, but i believe you need to get the version now hosted on the Titan Network to use the current Mids'.I had to reinstal Mid's on my laptop, and since then, i can't seem to make it update. It works "well" but it's 1-2 issues old (back when brutes didnt have claws and only 4 PPP).
Whenever i try to update it (automatically or manualy) i get an error once the download is finished, and then Mid's close.
Anyone else had this problem? Is there a way to get around it or somewhere else to go download Mid's that would work? -
Well, i'm pretty sure that for suppression purposes mez resistance is treated the same as actual mez protection. Something to double check the next i play one of my squishies.

Quote:Vaguely related post stating anticipation of reaching post 6,666. States goal to be achieved by making posts in response to threadjacking posts from other posters concerning post count.Insistence that everyone in this thread is foolish for letting it go this long and that it will certainly be locked any minute now.
Nonsequitur comment about how my post count has finally reached 1,500, after only 5 years and 4 months!
Abruptly referencing original poster's complaints and suggesting OP's need for RL gratification as real reason for OP.
Rhetorical question regarding life cycle of plankton and awkward segue into insisting that thread will soon be locked by a moderator. -
i kind of liked how it started haltingly and then built up a rhythm as it went along in an attempt at suggesting increasing agitation. But maybe that's just me.Quote:followed by reminder that quoted redname has TRIED fixing said problem via animation to no avail.
