That's exactly how it works. When you switch to your second build it is initially at level 1 (zero really). You have to speek to the trainer to level up one level at a time until your current level.

It's very clunky on level 50s, but is okay on new characters, since you can level each build in tandem.

I'll have a sneaky guesstimation that it will be a one-off case of both due to the introduction of dual builds and the changes to existing powersets - but then expect it to apply solely to whichever build you select in the future.
Its just a sneaking suspicion really, anything less I imagine will leave people either peeved at their altered builds or not launching into the prospect of building that alternative build with gusto because they are skint.

It's worth mentioning that the free respecs that are given out do not stack, so if you have one unused, you're not going to get an extra one. If I recall correctly, these respecs tend to be given out just before the issue becomes live.


Back in the day, the best indicator when an issue was about to go live was Bridger going on holiday a week beforehand

Technically, there are no mandatory respecs with a new issue. Often however a "freespec" seems to land in our laps right after every new issue lands (IIRC that changed for I10 when it came first - or actually we got 2?)

However, any freespec awarded is purely discretionary and shouldn't be taken fro granted (but would be a dumb move if the dev's took it away)

How about Andrew and the DTWT work with NCSoft to maybe post an event where the artists are in game and have to be found. The first X number of players to find the artists then get to write in with their donation (and maybe a further 100 "reserves" to cover those who can't submit their details/donation)

An annual event maybe that enables the players in the areas that just won't be able to get near a show to get something done?

I'm pretty positive that this would benefit DTWT, would get people logging into the game and more importantly would benefit an excellent charity - plus keep a few extra fans happy.

What do you reckon GR?

Can somebody clarify? When you say it "ticks every 0.5 seconds" does that mean it checks to see if it taunts every 0.5 seconds or what?

there's a few new games/expansions arrived

Not every day can be a bright shining horizon for a game that's been out there for a while.

I can see a strategy that says "let's get all the numpties to do their stuff" and when the players are bored they come back to us and a shiny new I13"

Not sure it's what I would have picked but I'm not in charge

I didn't know or ever interact with Lighthouse but I do know from my interaction with everyone else it has been my pleasure to meet involved with CoX that they are totally passionate about the game.

I'm guessing that sometimes, two massive lumps of passion in headlong collision can result in fallout and, whatever the rights, wrongs, perspectives and speculation, it's sad that it's come to somebody having to go as a result of any internal difference.
