Looks like he and Gil did their research well enough. So well, in fact, they even duped some native North Carolinians. I daresay, they might have went so far as to use Google, or perhaps open some kind of text-book.

    Eerie.

    Learn to read.

Either they didn't know or they did know and didn't care.

    (translation for the reading impaired)

Either way, it was a bad move and, yes, offensive.

    Got it?

Unless and until you provide some sort of factual evidence to back up your disagreement with Gil's statement, I will have to continue laboring under the impression that you are simply an angry idiot.

Now Braveheart... There's some historical innacuracies for you!)

    [/ QUOTE ]

What the HELL are you talking about??!?!?! That was a DOCUMENTARY. Brilliantly done. Verbatim about what happened. I can't believe they found actual video footage of all of that in such great detail.

I just wish the guy documenting all of this would have helped out once in awhile...but I guess if he was a true historian, he didn't want to alter any outcomes.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    ARRRGHHH...

That film drives me nuts, especially when whoever I'm playing with, when they find out Im Scottish, immediately says, "I liked Braveheart".

    NNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOo....

I live not 100 yards from Stirling Bridge, where was the bridge in the film... WHERE WAS THE HUGE SWAMP IN THE FILM!!!

    <pant, pant, pant>

    Sorry, but gah!

    Anyway back on topic...

I'm fairly sure North America (And I suppose Canada from the maps they showed at the time) didn't fight off an invasion of Snow-man like creatures recently...

(Or maybe the Canadians did... damn PLed hockey players!)

    Egor.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I can sympathize. I grew up in Fargo, ND and now like about an hour away in Jamestown ND. Anytime I mention that fact, I get the response "I loved the movie Fargo!" Man does that piss me off. First, the movie was filmed mostly in Minnesota about 3 hours from Fargo, and secondly, no we don't talk like that. People from tiny little farming communities have a tendency to speak like that at times, but for the most part we speak pretty normally.

Please, try telling people you're originally from Jamaica and watch someone who was dealing with you in Canadian accented english previously, suddenly ask if you know where to get good "ganja" in the worst "Ire mon!" accent ever.

I will now perform a hitherto undiscovered poem by one S. Baldric for the first time. It is believed to be the complimentary piece to his most famous work, "The German Guns".

    *ahem*

    Doom, Doom, Doom
    Doom, Doom, Doom.
    Doom, Doom,
    Doom, Doom.
    Doom, Doom, Doom.

    Thank you.

But he has a cunning plan...

    [/ QUOTE ]

He wouldn't know a cunning plan if it painted it's self purple and danced naked on a harpsichord singing "Cunning Plans Are Here Again".

Now slam the door in their face before I slam your face in the door!

    [/ QUOTE ]

If you're not careful, all the children will dance about outside your window singing sour-puss and grumpy-face, and you wouldn't want that now would you?

    [/ QUOTE ]

That would be much like fitting wheels to a tomato; pointless and time-consuming.

The Lost Colony of Roanoke settled upon Roanoke Island of the Outer Banks of NORTH CAROLINA!!! NOT VIRGINIA!!! Honestly Devs, it's not that hard. They MIGHT have gotten it confused with the name of the firstborn non-Native American child, Virginia Dare. And the single word left behind was not "Croatoa". It was, "Croatoan". Do your research, because Knowledge is power...and money is power...and time is money...and girls equal Time x Money, and Since time = money, then Girls = Power sqared...and I also saw that in an equation that girls evil equal...so Power Squared = Evil...so basically, Too much power is evil. Get it?

This post has me contemplating commiting brutal murder, so I suppose you're one up on the Paragon Times.

What I said at Origins was...

I liked our first design for stores - where Contacts sold a limited amount of certain Enhancements to each hero. That way a choice of Contacts meant something. You might get a Contact who has stuff I want and vice versa - and thus we purchase the Enhancements and trade them. Plus, we could link the Enhancement types to the background of the Contact. Another big plus.

But, we didn't have the time to do that - so we defaulted to one stop shopping at set locations. That's not quite as "cool" in my opinion, but it's what we've got for now. Until some other system comes along, stores are here for now. So Stores will be here for I5, CoV and beyond.

How dare you clear up a rumor before I've had a chance to overreact suitably! Please, check with me next time before quelling a misconception. I mean it's only polite to make sure I've been notified and have sufficiently jumped to conclusions and flipped out!

I do really well with a dictionary and a thesarus. I once came up with a fantasy idea from the word Buttermilk.

    Indeed. I find that simple words thrown together can inspire nice concepts;

    Grindoff

  14. Anyone notice that the heroes an villains seem to be from different eras? As though the heroes were golden age, while the villains are right out of the 80's and 90's when everyone was oh so dark and gritty. If I remember correctly, golden age villains also sported colorful and impractical outfits.

Things like these force the people who claimed that PvP wouldn't affect PvE to eat crow. No one likes to eat crow and it makes them quicker to distrust the next "oh don't worry" statement from the devs.
