Santorican once thought that he was serious, but he wasn't entirely sure.

Quote:That's too small of an amount of kills to state that the drop rate his higher. It makes me happy to report that Hamidon mitos have a very high chance to drop Incarnate Shards. This means that those of us who actually fight the mitos and help during the raid get a better reward than those who sit in the rock and leech.
We ran Hamidon twice in a row, getting Merits the first time and Shards the second time. Counting both raids, my team qualified for drops from 119 mitos (that is, 119 mitos gave us Influence rewards) and I personally got 10 shards out of it. That's a 1 in 12 drop rate, and it might be better, since the sample size is rather small. I didn't ask around what everybody else got, but it seemed like everybody got 4-6 shards from each raid, plus the 4 shards at the end.
I reached the Hive wondering how long it would take me to craft my Alpha Slot; one hour and a half later, I had it crafted with 3 shards to spare. -
Grant Cover's DDR is unenhanceable.

I don't think I did it correctly...They all have different folders but when I delete them I get this prompt when i try and open up regular CoH: Windows is searching for CohUpdater.exe. To locate the file yourself, click browse.

You make Emperor Cole look so evil, we all know someone who saved the world from destruction isn't evil.

Quote:Also forgot to include this in my last postThe accuracy nerf to purple drops are costing too much endurance in AE, which has completely wrecked PvP. Furthermore, now that no one plays tankers anymore because brutes can go to blue side, flippers have made it impossible to buy any recipes useful to stalkers, who can't go on TFs because they have too much single target damage. Unfortunately, because AE babies don't know how to access the new content without a server merge, CoH is doomed to buy Going Rogue, and badgers are spamming Atlas Park with questions about how to get to the ferry. The new Ultra Mode graphics are preventing people with Storm Summoning from getting on teams which is a problem because knockback is the best mitigation other than intangibility, unless you are fighting enemies with redraw.
p.s.: Also, the forums have no sense of humor.

Quote:Note to self, don't let Nalrok ever slap me...People who want it to hurt. I actually received a first-hand demonstration of this in a theatre 3 class I took way back in the day; if you slap someone with your palm and palm only, you'll get a lot of concussion but not a lot of welting or stinging. Your cheek takes the brunt of it. If you slap someone with just your fingertips you get a lot of stinging and a very hefty red mark. If you slap someone and use the bend of your knuckles as the 'center' of the slap, then you get the proper amount of whack and sting, if you will.
That's why, in plays, slaps are done exclusively with the palm as to prevent a temporary red mark. -

Quote:To quote a wise man, I feel nice like sugar and spice. It's just the beginning, the tip, but I am excited by it.
Will anybody play their alts anymore? Or will you be bogged down in getting your alts to level 50 and be torn about which one to give time to?
I am constantly intrigued by the 9 other "slots" that remain to be unlocked and the potential they hold. I am curious if we will ever actually reach that point - that level - that we "play" ourselves in the first mission of Mender Ramiel's Arc. Is that the potential that all 10 slots will bring? Will I be making Ghost Widow eat floor as she cons yellow to me?
I am excited by what this system has to offer, and I imagine it is going to be a good, long while before all 10 slots are available, still, it's the journey, not the destination. -
I honestly don't know, I'd probably say not anymore. I'd give the AoE king title to Electric/Shield.

I won't be able to run tonight, I am neck deep in finals doodoo

Quote:That'd be so awesome*shrug* Bad writing.
You're in a rocket ship, traveling at 99% of the speed of light. Time, for you, is moving normally, but outside of the rocket ship, time is moving at an accelerated rate.
If you tried to do the same thing to a planet, it'd shoot straight out of orbit, out of its solar system, out of its galaxy and slingshot across the universe. There wouldn't be any fancy graphics, no sun zooming across the sky, none of that malarkey. You couldn't even accomplish it by accelerating the entire solar system, then you'd have that system catapulting out of its galaxy. Nor would it work for the entire galaxy, due to the proximity of other galaxies in the local galactic cluster. The less localized the effect, the greater the magnitude of failure. You can do it with a person, or a rocket ship, or a small area (using comic book logic), but not a planet.
So, bad writing. Not the first example of bad writing in Co*, and judging by the horrendous garbage that's passed for "writing" in the last couple of issues, won't be the last. Seriously, some of the tips and new arcs look like they were written by kindergartners. I'm half expecting to wake up one day and see the UI revamped in crayon, and story arcs about eating paste and coloring between the lines. -

Quote:Yes it is just a game, that is understood, but none the less this is still a large part of your characters advancement and should not be easily obtained. And thankfully, this isn't that type of game. You are welcome to your opinion about Ramiel's arc being somehow massively important etc, but tbh, as far as I'm concerned, the entire game isn't massively important. It's awesome fun and all, but over the years I've been subbing, i've happily come to realise that it's just a game. I used to get all worked up over badges until i saw the humor in the sentence 'I collect imaginary badges'., for example.
CoH is a game that I pay for. More power to you if you want to view with pride acheiving difficult targets within it, but other people have other ideas of what is worthy of admiration etc. I can already skip the Honoree mission, and i agree with you about its current difficulty being pretty easy compared to stuff like LR or GW. I fully expect my emp defender to beat it with a Shivan.
But if I can't be arsed on the day, and I auto-complete, it won't be the end of the world. And I won't enjoy the content I open after that any less.
