Quote:Use Shield Charge as a closing power. There's at least one build in the build's thread. I just have a low level one. My only comment is Kin's animations really don't go well with /sd. One paper it should be decent with the stacking of +dmg buffs and -dmg debuffs. PS and SC don't play as well since PS needs to be built up and SC is pure burst damage. I just think Kin works better elsewhere despite the on paper synergy.

Quote:I already have Murcielago as my Scrapper. I want Booster Blue to be my epic Blaster.Get clarion, diamagnetic, spiritual t4 core, build for s/l defense you should be ok against everything but avs close in. Use rain of fire to apply the interface in 4 ticks everything in a spawn will be at -20 to hit
Or play a scrapper and pump up your damage to the point where it dwarfs a blasters
Quote:Eh. If you can't decide which defence path to go with. Ignore defence. Screw it. Build for massive reacharge, high accuracy, high recovery, and high damage bonuses. 6 Slot all attacks you're gonna be using to get the maximum effects of them. Eat Lucks when you need to and go to town with your amazing damage. Inspirations exist for that reason. -

So still haven't gotten around to fixing up my blaster, anyone have any ideas?
-
Only? 400%? I'm disappointed

At least you can stab and jedi mind trick

Clearly you haven't heard, they buffed Stalkers.

Quote:Mother of...wow o.OI've posted my rules before but since it's been a while I'll give the general outline... in list form since that's my language of choice...
* Every character has its own spreadsheet... the tournament has a spreadsheet... the rules have a spreadsheet... my traderbots have a spreadsheet... currently I have exactly 53 spreadsheets all having to do with my CoH tournament.
* Each server is a team consisting of all heroes or all villains. Each server has a Super Group so those teams can share resources. My traderbots each donated 1 billion influence apiece to transfer to 2,000,000 prestige per server to get the bases up and running. All further improvements to the bases are up to the individual teams.
* Teams start with one captain each. New characters can not be added to the team until all existing members are at least 30th level.
* All team members are funded by my traderbots. I basically play the market with one TB until they have maxed out the 2 billion influence cap and then create another one. Currently my TBs have around 11 or so billion collectively.
* There are extensive rules regarding enhancements (IO's only 15th level and up), recipes (can not buy set enhancements can only use drops of 30th level or higher) and many other things.
* Each player goes one at a time with a guaranteed one hour play time which can be increased through a special "bonus spin" when their turn begins. I also have bonus spins for enhancement bonuses and other things you can buy via influence.
* All Events (winter, halloween, etc) have their own special rules and regulations.
* Slotting, missions run, defeats, level, badges and the like are all forced into a series of equations to come up with three measureables: Reputation, Power and Team Work. These are measured against one another on a separate spreadsheet to determine who is the "best" in each category.
I could actually keep going until I've more than doubled the number of bullet points I've listed above, but you get the general idea. I lose interest in simple systems rather quickly, so I have created a means by which I can over-complicate practically any game to an extreme and maintain the fun in playing it.
As far as an issues to restarts ratio... well... I started playing around Issue 10. So as of Issue 20 I will have restarted my tournament and all my characters around 4 times. So about every 2 and a half issues seems to be my average.
Yeah... I'm never getting a character to 50. -

Quote:I would make CoH2's character creator just like Champions. If you were in charge of design for CoH2, what fundamental changes would you make to the way the game works?
I don't particularly like the way mezzing works in this game. I believe it should be incredibly rare, but also very scary when it does happen.
In my opinion, minions shouldn't be able to wrest control away from players. It should take a big bad to lock a player down; Ghost Widow, for instance. On the other hand, no one should be immune to mezzes. I would get rid of Break Frees and mez-immunity toggles, while allowing more resilient archetypes to have some mez resistance to shake it off sooner.
I would design certain encounters wherein it is lore appropriate for an enemy to have that kind of power. There would be a unique wind-up animation to give players a few seconds to pop inspirations to try to weather the hold, or for a tank to taunt to make sure the enemy doesn't go after his squishies while he's helpless.
It's not a suggestion, since it's obviously too late to change such a fundamental thing, but it's nice to dream.
I'd add all features on each character realistic i.e. everything that is possible to move on the human body can move on the character model.
I would add a lot more travel powers
Interactive surroundings i.e. everything is realistic. Cars stop at lights, people get in and out of cars. You can destroy your surroundings and when you do after a while a repair crew comes out and fixes it.
I'd eliminate half of the zones in Paragon.
I'd add a lot more variety to zones i.e. jungle, frozen waste land, toxic waste land, underwater, space, etc...
I'd add weather modeled using the current weather of RI
I'd make it so you can buy enhancements, inspirations, etc... with real money from the NCSoft store. Hey if you want to be lazy and dump real money into your character and make it so PS has more money in their budget I'm all for it.
I'd completely revamp CoV. I'd create a faction system where you either create your own faction or join an existing one. Eliminate a lot of the grime and keep it to one or two zones.
Those are just a few of my ideas. I have a word document with about 200 ideas to revamp CoH2. -

NEW ZONE???? NEW ZONE????? NEW ZOOOOOONE???????? -
Good luck trying to solo an STF. That'll be a hoot if you can.
-
I haven't done the math but when I had that extra 6% it gave me around an extra 15hp/application
-
Not too crazy about build two
Slotting in Soul Drain is no bueno, you don't have a lot of accuracy.
No more capped DDR
Forgot to mention this in the other post but Siphon Life isn't slotted for any healing which is a huge boom for Dark/Shield. -
-
You do realize that you are on average of 3% over the defense cap on each position right?
-
Nice avatar, I saw that on reddit this morning, made me LOL hard.

Quote:There are quite a few comments I have for this build. Here's my current set up:
To explain some of my build choices, I must say that this build is meant primarily for killing tough targets. Running the math, I believe I have sustainable endurance without Dark Consumption, increasing DPS. Smite is maxed with procs, to further increase DPS. I believe DPS increases survivability, because as time goes down so does the ability of certain AVs (GW, cough cough) to use insta-kill abilites. Siphon Life is slotted to maximize healing and damage, and Hasten is just under perma (I run around with empowerment buffs all the time though, so it is basically perma). OWtS allows me to become virtually a Granite tank, especially combined with a T4 Rebirth. My hope is that with Incarnate abilities I will be able to solo TFs like the STF, LRSF, ITF, LGTF, etc.
Smite's slotting is not good. It lacks any accuracy and endurance modification. I am not sure if slotting all procs are the way to maximize your damage output. You should ask to see if someone can calculate the math.
True Grit is highly under slotted
Siphon Life's slotting is okay, I use three Golgi and Nucleolus and gives 95% to everything but recharge.
I'm not a fan of slotting Soul Drain with GSFC. It has poor accuracy and recharge numbers.
Midnight Grasp slotting is okay. I have Hecatomb slotted in Smite and a set of Crushing Impact and a recharge slotted in MG.
Stamina seems under slotted, the Performance Shifter proc on average will give your more endurance than a L50 End Mod enhancement will. -
You don't need to be an incarnate to solo an ITF. Its been done already. You should also fix your code its all crazy.
