  1. You guys mean to tell me,and this applies to those who simply love to play the game hard as well,that whenever you want to team,and people say "No" over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again..that that dosent make you mad?

    This game's teaming rate is starting to match that of WoW.

    If Rewards arent the answer,what is,or could be?


    Come on players,you wrecked AE and all those teams that I just loved joining and playing,and making progress in-game on,especially on red side.You wrecked AE because we wanted to make the game harder for players to find teammates and gain levels,while you all laughed and danced in joy.You left other players no choice but to use AE when you just sat on our butts at Pocket D,and meaninglessly roleplayed.What the heck did you guys care anyway?!?!You all were too busy holding Pocket D down.


    Now,I am presenting to you all something else to destroy:The players ability(including me) to be unable to say no to teams,whether it be trying to get a coveted reward we all want,or something else entirely.

    I cannot explain it any better than this way.If you all do not know what I am talking about,dont worry..this will happen to you all in time,and then you will know what I am talking about,but how could you not know what I speak of?

    Let us destroy the need to not want to team.Let us put some meat on a stick to motivate those statues with something who just come on-line to take up space.Who's with me?!

  3. I am simply proposing a series of very enticing and desired rewards you can acquire simply by teaming.Whether it be accolades,or badges,or something that the players have been dying to have in-game.I think this method might see people teaming more,and not doing one of the following..

    1)Hang out at Pocket D
    2)..or ask for more time to complete a mission before they join your team.That does suck so much,and it makes me mad.It's as though they think that you are going to wait on them,as well as the team too.

    No end cost toggle, not compatible with any other (defensive) toggles from the set. Provides extreme resists, to the extent that you actually take no damage from any attacks. The damage that you would take, however gets converted in to endurance drain at a rate of *percentage that is well thought out for balance standings*.
    Has a secondary effect of reducing your endurance recovery and/or increasing your over all endurance cost.

    The power can be de-toggled at any time without penalty.
    If the power drops due to lack of endurance, however, you are left unable to recain endurance for a moment, as well all of your primary powers have to recharge.

    Either way you have to deal with it having a major recharge though.

    This idea would work as well
  5. Give the Force-Field Power Nine additions you ask?I will try,but we already have the following,which you all aready know...

    1)Personal Force Field
    2)Insulation Shield
    3)Repulsion Field

    and the others..

    4)"Back-Up Power"-This power would be equivelant to "Dull Pain",or "Earth's Embrace",or "Healing Flames".Drawing back up power from the power that powers your shield to heal yourself from sustained damage


    5)"Richochet"-Activation of the power would indeed genertae a force bubble,but what if,in this case,this force field power were to send an enemy's attack,whether it be bullets,or energy blasts,right back at them?

    6)"Protrusions"-Similar to the "Icicles" power of Ice Tankers,this power would result in several protrusions sticking out from the Shield,rather then just four to six protrusions.

    7)"Three-Shot"-Once this power is activated,the Shield you wear generates three more bubbles which shoot outward from the shield in the form of a Three-Way shot,knocking villains down,disoritenting them for a moment or two.

    8)"Force Ball"Similar to "Shield Charge" this power would generate a shield around you,and shoot you forth,like a bowling ball,and knock the enemies around like bowlign pins,disorienting them for several moments.


    9)"Shield Galvanization"-The most powerful shield in the powerset,when activated,you draw power from all nearby foes,and transfer it to the Shield,making you invunerable to all attacks,including Psionics.This power would drain power from the shield once the power has expired,not your hit points


    Just some ideas for the "PFF" Power for Tankers and Brutes.
  6. I just posted this story number in hopes that somebody would give it a shot.It is ideal for teams,and part of where the inspiration for the story came from is from the NPC Villain you meet in Safeguard missions called Critical Mass.

    I hope you all try it out,and review it and give me your thoughts about it.Is there anything I should change,or is it fine the way it is?I look foward to hearing form you all.Take care. : )

    I had some ideas...


    -"Invunerability" for Masterminds

    Masterminds are the ones who need the most protection for they are the brains of any operation,and should be guarded as though they were Gold.You could use the powersuit that Lex Luthor wore in Superman/Batman:Public Enemies.It protected him from harm,and gave him worlds of strength,but the armor part of it is what I am discussing.




    -"Personal Force Field" for Tankers and Brutes

    Much like the Force Field powers that Controllers and Defenders have,this version of the Personal Force Field would be used to protect a single hero,rather than many.Maybe the armor could do a trick or two as well.Some of the powers are already there,such as..

    -The Personal Force Field
    -Insulation Shield
    -Repulsion Field



    -"Stone Cover" for Defenders and Controllers

    What of a Cold Domination power that was "Stone" instead?It would seem like a stronger defense to have,rather than ice.You could ask any Stone Armor tanker,and im sure that they would tell you.
  8. Just suggesting two new tutorial ideas which could result in better charachter development..Orgin-wise,I mean

    An Asylum-For villains,of course.You know,for all those mad scientists and madmen.Not all of life's most serious offenders are kept just in Prison(The Zig),you know

    Freedom Corps Training Facility-For Heroes,of course.Aside from the Outbreak tutorial,which is okay,I just see there being more.Perhaps there could be a place where new heroes could learn how to use their powers,and become Paragon's newest superhero,rather than just being thrown into it as the Outbreak tutorial does.

    Why Make Others?

    I suppose it's just a simple quest to make more money and become famous,or there is a bigger picture I am not seeing,but..why make other super-hero online games when(I believe it to be so)CoX is on its way to becoming fantastically superior,and unbeatable?

    In my opinion,the kind of success that CoX is making,dosent need you to be detoured away with other ideas.

    If I were in charge,I would spend all my time and resources into making CoX the best,and most fullfilling super-hero experience that I could.I wouldnt even think about going elsewhere.

    All of the ideas in Champions Online should be implemented into CoX!I do understand it would take time to do so;I do understand that it wont be overnight,but the wait would be worth it once they do enter the game!

    Just a question I pose to you,and something to just think and mull over in your heads as well.

    Albeit,you guys have done some things I do agree with and some stuff I do not agree with,
    You guys have done very good work so far in CoX,and I am supporting you 100%

    I urge you all to come back to Paragon,where you all belong!

  11. When Bruce Banner transforms,he becomes the Incredible Hulk,so i had this idea..


    One costume could have the name of Dr. Jekyll

    The second costume could have the name Mr. Hyde.

    I am suggestion a costume name change whenever you switch costumes.I mean having one name when you are a scientist,and then having the same name when you transform into a beast is kind of bland and would make me loose interest in the whole lore of man,then beast.
  12. I recently read up on Marvel vs, DC,and this idea has probably been suggested many times and been shot down just as many,but the main article I read upon was the Batman and the Punisher,and it made me think of two things...

    1.Batman needs a girlfriend very,very badly.with a relationship between the two as though they were Superman and Lois Lane.Robin could also be a girl's name,couldnt it?

    2.Would it make sense and take PvP in a whole new direction if a player on Virtue could fight a player on Champion?A player on Liberty could fight a player on Protector.A player on Justice could fight a player on Freedom,and so on,and so on,and so on through the magic of the Arena Kiosks on YOUR or THEIR server.

    You could simply punch up this option on the Kiosk,and have access to a whole list of players looking for a fight and what servers they come from.

    Pros

    1)You could make even more friends

    2)For those who love their charachters with bios and documented stories,they could form a relationship and have a signature hero,or villain to fight,such as Statesman and Lord Recluse have.

    3)Badges and accolades could have a part in this type of PvP.

    The AE Option

    However small,and unneeded,I notice that when you click on "Team" in Chatbox,you have the option to select what you are looking for,whether it be missions,arena,trial,or whatever the case may be.

    AE would be a good one to add to it.It has become every popular,as it should

  14. I do feel your pain in this,Caestus.I do wish things would change,and teams would become easier to form and to join,but unfortunately you are dealing with people who will find a way to make it your fault that you cannot find a team.

    Like its your fault that they say no to your team invites all the time,you know?

    When you work with things on your end to fix the problem,like the players suggest,they still say no.

    In the end,you arent the one at fault.Good luck trying to get them all to see it.Blood from a Stone type deal,you know?

  16. Hi,I just noticed that the Vault Reserve is limited in options.Here is what I was thinking as I suggest these newest additions to you all.I do understand that the Vault Reserve gives players the ability to store invention salvage,but I feel that it could do so much more,for example..

    1)Influence/Infamy Storage:A player can place,lets say,1,000,000 in earnings into their vault reserve account,and be able to deposit more,or withdrawl,and any of his toons,not just the one he is on,but any of his toons can deposit or withdrawl just as long as any of his toons fall under the global account name.With this idea,you would never have to set up an earnings transfer again between one hero/villain to another.You could just get earnings out of your Global Vault Reserve Account,hero or villain.

    I do realize that it is easy to set up an earnings transfer between two players,probably..i suppose,but I dont see any harm in this idea at all..(but I'm sure you all will ; ) ))




    2)Enhancement Storage:Whenever you earn any time of enhancement,where it be,SO,DO's or whatever.You could store them in Vault Reserve and save them for a rainy day,or any day for that matter.




    3)Recipes:Enhancement Recipes you earn in battle can also be stored in the Vault Reserve as well.

Guys,im sorry,but I just noticed something.I made this thread yesterday,and it is above 24 posts.No major record,I understand,but even all of you wernt this quick to try and destroy AE for other players.It's as though you have something to hide,like,intentional poor teaming habits that make it bad for everyone else?

    Heck,even on this thread,all I hear is "No" to teaming!


    Wouldn't you agree that lack of teams,or teaming is destroying the game too?

    Sure you all have rights to do as you wish in the game,whether it be nest,or whatever,but sooner or later you guys might find yourselves crying and complaining about not having a certain accolade for example,and certain accolades,like the respec trials,require,well golly!
    A TEAM!!!!!

    ...and for all my critics out there,(May the high one bless you : )
    Give me your best shots.Knock me over with your powers of criticisims and witicisims,and humiliate me freely.You have that right....

    ..and as far as being the one that people dont like to take team invites from,Lost Ninha?I'm not really a big fan of people to begin with Ninja.There loyalties and love are like granola bars..flaky.Who cares what they think,Ninja?


    What would happen if people were to say no,over and over to suggestions made in thsi thread,like they do in the game?It would pretty much be decommissioned due to lack of interest.
  20. Hello all.I am here with this idea once again,for the thrid time.Players are testing my patience,and they are winning,which is why I am pleading with you o correct this problem of mine:The players of CoX have turned into nesters,not questers,and it is making me mad.

    I have made team requests properly,like players reqyest me to do,and in all that,you would expect to land a player or two,but suprisingly....

    "Not right now,Thank you"
    "No,thank you though"
    "No,Im playing with my supergroup right now"
    "No,im getting ready to log"
    "Getting ready to log,actually,but thank you though"

    ..or they just ignore you completely....and isnt ignoring you unpolite?You know,just like those players who ask YOU to be polite and send them a sighted invite first,rather than a blind one?

    Hypocrites,I say.

    I just simply say that there needs to be a major incentive to get people to team more,and play this game,rather than waste time at Pocket D,ir wherever else.The rewards could grow in time to you,just like the Veteran Badges do..for an example...

    First Three Months:Signature Hero and Villain Costume Parts

    Next Three Months:New Travel Powers

    ..and so on..and so on...


    Time Limit.

    I know you all have been here before,so dont try to deny it.

    To those players who dont join up with there team,or dont respond once you invite them,you could start a clock upon this player,and if the player dosent respond or join you inside the mission in five minutes,they are automatically kicked from the team.

    I jsut believe that there are people out there who just join a team and do nothing to drive the team elader and his loyal members crazy.

    -a kid beats up his bully
    -a prisoner reforms before his release

    If that can happen,I think we could have our moments once again in CoX,and change people's conduct a bit.Grabted,we wont hit everyone,but we can influence some.

First of all,I do think that the AE farm is an excellent idea.I have never been on more teams in my life because it is easy!I remember before AE that I struggled,and I mean struggled to find teams because people always said no,or just ignored me,or made up some outrageous excuse to leave,and if you all say that this dosent get to you,you all are liars!


    I was recently making a team and I had six,but you have someone complaining about not having a certain archeype's power,and when I got the power needed,he jsut quit anyway.I tried to tell him I had a kin,like he wanted,but he just quit anyway,and I do think that the penalty should be harshly implemented,and like I said,i know i would have to suffer through the penalty too,I dont care.I would imagine that with everyone who makes teams and jsut watch people quit instantly for no reason,just like that,and if you dont just stand there wishing that you could do something about that kind of conduct,once again,you are all liars!


    I also suggested motivation to want to team all the time in that list that begins with "Vehicles",and also,in all seriousness,aside from this suggestion of mine,why come online to CoX if you arent going,or not wanting to play the game right now?



    How would you guys fix this quitting-too-much problem?Ive given you my ideas here.You know you want to fix it,and dont pretend like you are all ok with it.

I have written about this once before,but seeing as how players are still doing it..it looks as though I will write about this until i die.Players quit teams too easily.Some players may have legitimate excuses at times,i dont deny that..but others often just quit for no reason at all,or make up some fantasy excuses,or quit just to make you mad,and I am so tired of it.

    There needs to be something major connected to teaming,such as....

    -Vehicles
    -More game time
    -Teaming badges
    -New Weapon Accolades
    -More Influence/Infamy
    -More costume slots
    -Access to another area in the city,such as underwater,or space,or something

    and if they just quit,their progress should be knocked back in a progress bar as well.


    Just some ideas here is all.I realize that the penalty would affect me too,I know,I dont care..I jsut want this quitting-too-easy problem to be dealt with is all.Some heroes and villains are trying to destroy AE farms.Maybe I can be responsible for something that they do love to do,and that's to quit just because they can.




    Hero/Villain Searches often have things like AT,Natural,Zone,Level,Name,what they are looking for,but what about power sets you are looking for?

    Some players are kind enough to write their powers in the search comments,but others do not.I feel that adding what powers you are looking for to this search capability would work out so much better.You dont have to play the guessing game anymore.

  24. Hello,I'm back,and noticed a few things.

    1) Unlimitted Occupancy

    I notice that we have limits as to how many people we can ignore,global friend,friend,hero-group invite,villain sg invite,and......why do we have limits in those areas anyway?We'll never stop making friends,nor ignoring people,nor spamming people,nor inviting people to supergroups.We should have no limit in these areas whatsoever if you think about it,especially with supergroups.Supergroups can make alternate expansions to the main one too many times before it becomes ridiculous and not needed,and the main one just looses it's luster,and therfore I would loose interest in the group all together if it were me.

    Bottom Line:Some things should be without a limit,like the ones I just mentioned.


    2)AE

    I do realize that all people do not like AE farming,but for those who do..I have a suggestion.

    What if there was an option that would automatically reset the map of enemies when the last one is killed.It would save going out and resetting the map again.


    3)Regular Missions

    I so love the AE option where you go to the AE contact,and it immediately removes all players from the map,including the ones who went AFK inside mish.Wouldn't that be useful in regular missions,too?It would save the kicking and reinviting.


    4)Vault Reserve

    I think Vault Reserve is great,but it is too limited in my opinion.It should hold stuff besides Invention Salvage.How about holding Invention Salvage,and Influence/Infamy,and IO enhancements,DO Enhancements,SO Enhancements,or Reserve Base Prestige.If this idea were implemented,people may not have to make influence transfers with each other again,just with themselves as they withdrawl influence/infamy from the Vault Reserve.
