Gasp It can't be! People will have to play the GAME content now! OH no the Horror of gaining extra temp powers! The Nightmare of Earning Badges that will count for something like Atlas Medallion! It's so wrong that people are forced to face all the different types of foes and go to all the cool zones!

Just in case like many I'm being... /e Gasp... sarcastic.

I was just thinking that now the 5th are back and hanging out in zones. Are any of the 5th Defeat Badges back?

I wasn't here for when the 5th was around the first time but I heard there badges were changes to match the Council. So are we going to get NEW 5th Badges?

Ginger marched her way to the food court and spotted Tom. "TOM FREEMAN! What are you doing you know all newcomers need to be approved by Two members of the Head council! And I know Walter didn't approve of you leaving at this hour and bringing in a guest!"

Tom and Drake turned hearing the voice of Ginger. Tom spoke up "Ah Ginger well I can't get approval till I met someone now couldn't I? This is..." Drake stepped forward and with a Texas Accent "Well Howdie Ms. Ginger, I'm Luke Kain I'm sorry that I'm disturbing ya all but it been so long since I last seen my good Friend Tom here we just plum forgot as we caught up on our past."

Everyone were looking at the three. Tom was looking at Drake not sure to be angry that he was cut off or not. Ginger eyed Drake up and down then looked at Tom "We will be talking about this later, but for now keep your friend close." She spun around and stormed off for the Offices.

In the garden one of the Dryads was watching the whole thing but showed no emotion. Dreg and Carl were puzzled as most of the people at the food court.

Carmella's team got to ground level and started the hunt for a group of Crey. She smiled as she spotted 5 of them roughing up a woman. The woman screamed "Your... Your just what they been saying on TV nothing but thugs!"

That was when Extraction Team B struck Toxic Zed (Rad Rad Corrupter) snapped his fingers and sent Radiation at the Powered tank as Carmella and a Brute Named War Hounds (Super strength Willpower Brute) rushed the Gang. The fight didn't take long the Villains wanted as little damage to the uniforms as possible.

"OH thank you! We need more Heroes like you on the streets." The woman ran off. War Hound made a wimpier sound and looked at Carmella. "Let her go guys it only confuse things more if the Police or Heroes start asking questions. Tag these guys with those teleport markers so we can get them to the base and dispose of them fully."

She stood there watching out as the two went to work.

Well were limited to changing our Global name only once...

Well I did and well I regret doing it I was thinking perhaps they can offer a Global name change at the game store.

This will make it so you pay for changing it again bringing in income and limiting the amount of changes.

Ouroborous I wouldn't put in the same class as other Tasks forces do that to A. replay missions you missed or want to play again or B. to explore the past events of the game.

To LEVEL you need a true Task Force. The Solo Ouroborous is not the best way to do it. Even with my Tanker I have trouble Soloing some of the foes ... (*mumbles about Nosferatu and foams at the mouth*).

Um sorry lost track there. Anyway you want is a Team Task force (more members more xps both in foes and bonus boost). You need to devote yourself about 2 hours or more. Thought I have done ITF in 45 mins. One of the longest Task Forces is Dr. Quaterfield also called by some Dr. Quaterhell! It can last over 5 hours my last ran was 5 hours and 18 mins.

This is where your Supergroup comes in if your friends with enough you can start a Taskforce and if you have to leave you can stop log out and return later and finish. Just so long as you don't Quit.

Ah your in the 30 hump! Yeah the levels in the higher 30s tend to level slower for some reason. Or it just feels that way. One way is to do some Task Forces the XP rewards are good and with a Great team can be gained fast. Me I tend to run Imperious Task Force when I hit those levels. There is also the Lady Grey Task Force in the RWZ.

One of my Friends after hitting level 10 does nothing but Task forces, Trials, and Radio Safeguard Missions.

Like any city there's alot to do if you can find it. I said before I been playing 2+ Years and still haven't done All there is to do. If you want extra goodies look for Missions with rewards. One example and one of my favorites is the pet Warwolf you get doing a Mission in Striga Isle. It a bummer that you only get to summon a Warwolf 5 times.

The big ones like Accolades gives you extra powers.

For example...
The Atlas Medallion gives you +5 Max Endurance.

Conspiracy Theorist Badge gives you a Crey CBX-9 Pistol Ranged Moderate Damage over Time(Cold) Foe: Immobilize -Speed -Recharge

But most badge hunters go for the bragging rights of having as many as they can. A lot of badges have no special bonus other then just the fun of having them. For example my Tanker.. he's named Rotten Luck by the way lol has the Debt Badges Undying under his name for Pay off 600,000 debt there is no extra goodies for having this badge just I like having it.

How many badges... Well that a huge list and I personally have no clue but to help you out here a list if the different types of Badges. Remember this game is made to be Open ended meaning even when your 50 there will be things to do. So Badges were designed in part to be part of this goal to give you rewards other then XPs.

City of Heroes Badges

I wouldn't call it cheating because technically you don't need them. Yes having a Super Group base with Teleporters is nice but not NEEDED. I have many characters that I play Often with out any supergroup at all. I tend to not even use the Base Teleporters when I do have them and I been playing for over 2 years now.

Out of all my Characters I only have one I even bothered to get the exploration badges that's my level 50 Tanker.

I see them as Easter eggs a prime example of this is Faultline Cryptic's clubhouse.

You can also wonder why there are Exploration badges in the first place... maybe to Explore the Zone and find all the fun little things the Dev's added in. Being told where they are defeats this goal.

{Brickstown}

Carmella Looked over the edge of the building. "We got new orders from Anonymous X. Our orders are now to get our hands on some Crey outfits." She looked at the other members of the Extraction team. "Well lets scout for some Crey Thugs a few of those Power Tanks would be good. It's hard to see the faces in those helmets."

Ginger drank her tea when a knocked at the door interrupted her thoughts. "Come in"

One of the Door guards entered the room. "Sorry to intrude Head Ginger but you wanted to know when Tom returned. He didn't return alone he brought in a newcomer."

Thought she put down her tea mug gently it was clear she was angry "After all his fussing about John returning he goes and brings in a Newcomer." She rose up and headed out of her chambers "Where is he now?"

"I don't know Ma'am but I saw them heading for the food court."

"Thank you Trever, now go and inform Mathew about this." Ginger didn't say anything else as she stormed her way to the food court.

You don't know what powerpool Stamina is in because you always ran with a Fire/Kin!

I haven't played an Earth Tanker but been thinking of one. So I'm going to give my points.

I want to see what the ideas for the new armor are. I don't want to vote yes and end up with something that sucks. So Babs Show us some concept art!

I like this idea mainly because I got an Energy Blaster with heavy KB powers. However when I run on a team I have to control what I do more so I don't knock everything away from tankers and scrappers.

I would use the Anti-Knockback IOs on a team build and have extra Knockbacks on my Solo build.

1) Wow I didn't know it's all made out of cardboard... No wonder they can change things around so fast it's all fake.

2) Yeah it was a good magic trick, but I could only do it once!

Personally I always thought Lusca should show up in the Rogue Isles.

COME ON DEVS! What is the logic of having a whole bunch of Villains many are Mad Scientist and none have an escaped Giant Monster of Death on the loose?

The store now turned into Ginger's home was decorated in a simple country style. There was a couch to the left side wall that was white with yellow and red flowers. In front of that was a red wood coffee table with a slightly yellowed tablecloth. Ginger lit just a single table lamp that was on the only end table that was on the other side of the couch. Against the other wall was two bookshelves with various story books and a desk chair sitting in front of the shelves. As well as a fold up table set against the wall so when she needs it she can open it up with out taking to much space when not needed. She then went to the Kerosene set more in the middle of the room and lit it once she adjusted the flames she set a slightly battered looking tea pot on top. Then she headed to the back of the store/home.

He who lies would see her pass through a curtain separating the sleeping area from her living room. Her bedroom area was even more basic an one person bed with a colorful quilt on top no headboard. To the far wall was a dresser on top of that was a crate with bits of fabric and a sewing machine. Under the bed was other crates with other items she uses to make quilts. beyond that was the stores back room now storage and the store bathroom both without any personal touches.

Once the tea pot was hot she added some fresh peppermint she got from the Dryad garden.

Elsewhere in the complex Dreg and Carl were returning to the upper levels and heading to the Food court. Thought many of the stalls were now boarded up shut a few were still used to cook food but now it was more along the lines of a Soup kitchen for the poor. Both the two got today's meal a plate of spaghetti with ground sausage and a slice of garlic bread. "Things seem to be going well" Dreg said between bites.

"Aye that thanks to those three Plant people we calling them Dryads for lack of a better term. All three were once some scientists but were changed they won't say how or what they were working on but we think it has to do with those Devouring Earth monsters. But that's just gossip." Carl looked to the area where the Gardens were located. "Even if it was true they aren't Devouring Earths they been helping us by growing that garden and producing a lot of food."

Dreg drank from his glass of water. "But it's not enough where do the other supplies come from?" Carl shrugged "Mostly from the same place all homeless get it mostly donations, food banks, and a few of us have jobs but can't pay to get a place to live. But Tom wants to change that he's got some foolish idea we can service with out outside aid."

Dreg put down his fork and looked at Carl "you got to be nuts Sanctuary was never meant to be long term. We knew we needed to hide from the Rikti when we started this place but it was always planned that once things were clear we leave. True the plan was worst case if the rest of the world were destroyed but then it became a place to live till you can get a place on your own."

Carl laughed "Now now Dreg I'm not part of his lackeys the only reason I'm still here is because I know there is a Job to do and people to protect. I'm sure if Tom gets his way he would have all he needs to survive. Mainly because everyone else would leave."

In the Northwest Corner base Anonymous X was thinking about how to throw the heroes off the scent. "You called Master Anonymous?" Asked the henchman as he walked into the lab. "Yes I been thinking we need to get our hands on some Crey uniforms. Heroes are much like bloodhounds even if Acid throws them off the trail they would keep looking for clues. So lets set up a wild goose chase."

"wouldn't that be a Wild Crey chase sir?" Anonymous looked at the man surprised to here a bit of humor coming from the henchman "I guess so. It's logical Crey deny anything that gets blamed on them even if there is proof by the time the Heroes figure out that Crey truthfully isn't involved it be to late."

"yes Master Anonymous X I have Extraction team two do grab a few uniforms from Crey crewmen. They are in Brickstown already and were preparing to retrieve the next item."

Anonymous sat down as he thought "We need to steal something that isn't related to bomb tech. If the authorities get the idea someone stealing Bomb parts and not just Rikti tech it will throw off the plan."

The Henchman nodded "How about some of that new Rikti Armor that gear wasn't around during the first Rikti war and Crey lost all government contracts involving Rikti tech. It could be logical that Crey would want to study the new Rikti gear."

Once more Anonymous looked at the Henchman "Your sure your just a henchman you seemed smarter then most."

The man shrugged "I'm just a Henchman sir but you did asked Minion Agency in Rogue island for top scoring henchmen."

Nodding Anonymous answered "indeed thought the radio operator seems to have got one to many shocks in his life. Now get those Crey uniforms." The Henchman turned and walked out.

(( I think I made more characters for this tread then I ever made and most are just secondary or background characters.))

Ginger was small frame and how her skin hangs was once over weight but now she thin but no longer young. Thought she's not old either she's in her late 40s 48 to be exact her brown hair now has streaks of white and winkles have formed on her face.

Right now she was dressed in a blue outfit blue skirt blue jacket white shirt. The outfit just like the woman had seen better days and was showing it's age.

After talking with William over the business of running the place she left the office. She had a slight limp to her walk and she headed to what was once a tea shop. Now it was her home she entered and closed the door and settled down on a couch.

Tom at that time was entering the base in the north west corner when... The blade came to his neck and Drake Zorad stepped out of the shadows "Your trespassing".

"It's me Tom Foreman I need to speak to X right away." Tom swallowed and he felt the blade against his skin. "That's Anonymous X to you. Wait here." With that the stalker removed the blade and went into the base.

Tom looked around noting the other hired guards and even a few Drones. For the first time after he made the deal he was doubting himself.

Then Drake returned with the Cyborg Anonymous X. He looked at Tom "What is it I'm a very busy man." Tom tried to stare down the metal face mask but he couldn't "There a new comer a man calling himself Dreg he used to be a dweller but he was captured by the lost."

"And how does this affect us. We have full filled our part and took out that Frank so you can take his seat. Our deal is completele."

"Look Anonymous X you told me to give you news and this guy still has some mental powers." Anonymous lifted his robotic hand and cut Tom off as he looked at Drake. "Drake return to sanctuary with Tom check out this Dreg. We might be able to use him if his loyalties are for the human race. Being one of the Rikti pet Lost he might have information we can use."

"WAIT I Want him gone! He's an unknown." Anonymous made no move but from the darkness 6 laser sights locked onto Tom and the Battle Robots came forward the hum of there blasters powering up was heard. "NO... I... You can't!"

Anonymous looked at tom "You have no power here Tom I can do what I see fit. Lucky for you that means you live and return to your hole in the ground you think is your little private kingdom. Now take Drake with you and get going. This meeting is over." Then Anonymous and the droids return to the inner section of the base.

Drake looked at Tom "Lead on oh mighty King" there was a smirk on Drakes face. For him there was one thing worst then fools and that was fools with egos.

((Hey Tom was named after my Brother in Law... your right poor name.))

The Dryads were moving among the garden now touching the plants when they did fruit formed, flowers bloomed, or just the plant seemed to grow. In another part of the garden Blackdraft sat among a group of children as a guitar player started a simple song.

Ginger at the mean time went down the main hall then down to the Mall offices. Once she reached the office she called out "William we need to talk." The Librarian looking man looked up at her "Hmm Talk about what? Is there a problem?" "It's about Tom foreman he's not working as one of the heads we both know he's been trying to force us into becoming more isolated."

"yeah he been annoying but he was voted into office." Ginger snorted "Only by playing on peoples fear we haven't had anything attack us in a whole year and I think we need to have an election to get him impeached." William sighed "I need to think about it Ginger. But right now our supplies are low again, we need to contact the food banks see if they have enough to feed us all."

Dreg and Carl were down in the garage area chatting. Mostly catching up on there friendship.

He Who Lies might have noted that Silvanus and Rose for that was indeed the name of the girl was looking at a figure who hurried out and to the exit of Sanctuary. The arrival of Dreg disturbed the plans and Tom was on his way to the base of Anonymous X's group in the north west corner.

Silvanus and Rose went to the center of the garden where Rose sat down and started tending to a flowerbed as Silvanus moved to two other tree like people. These two were female or as close as female as they could be. All three stood silently till an Old woman entered the clearing. "Greetings Silvanus, Radande, Adhene and Rose" she said as she entered. Rose stood up and went to where the Three tree people stood and her eyes rolled back in her head as she spoke her voice seemed to lack emotions. "Welcome Head Mother Ginger how may we be of aid?"

Ginger sat down and sighed "I think I just need someone to listen... Tom's being more a pain then normal he's up to something. Rose have you seen anything in his thoughts?"

Rose blinked as she came back to herself "You know I try not to read minds Ginger only these three give me some control with out them I get lost in the minds of others. Besides it's rude." Ginger lifted her hand "I didn't mean that you tried to read his mind but your powers are stronger then most thought readers. I was just thinking you... heard him in passing."

She looked to Silvanus then to Ginger "I'm sorry Ginger he knows I can read others thoughts so she keeps his mind well guarded. He is disturbed by Dreg arrival thought for what reason I don't know. You know how he hates something he has no control over."

Then Rose's eyes rolled up again and her voice took on that empty tone. "Me and the others do not approve of how Tom wishes to run things. Plants as well as people aren't meant to be hidden in caves. It is sad that he wormed his way into the Head council after Franks death." Thought it was still rose her voice changed a touch as one of the other three used her "I still wonder how an Embalmed Cadaver got into Sanctuary."

"Your right Rose... I mean.. Sorry it's still unnerving how you three use her as a means to talk. I don't know who is saying what."

"Yes it is not the best way to communicate but we had long ago lost our own ability to talk, and Rose does accept." The Three said using Rose.

Ginger nodded "I didn't say I don't approve just it's unnerving. I'm afraid if Tom gets worst we might have to try something drastic. Maybe an emergency election to have him impeached."

The three tree people looked at eachover and even Rose was in on the silent comunication. Then Rose looked back at Ginger and with her own voice. "We aren't in charge Ginger to say anything would influance you."

"Thanks for just listening I bring up my idea with William" with that Ginger got up and headed away. Once gone Rose looked at the three Dryads for that how she thought about them. "You might bluff to Ginger and the others but your thinking about having Tom killed" her voice flaring with anger. "Higher beings indeed."

After a few moments she looked down then back at them "Yes I understand but why not tell Ginger and the others you believe Tom had the Embalmed brought in... Oh yeah... I guess someone had to help him so who?"

Silvanus then made a very human gesture of shrugging his shoulders.

Meanwhile Carl had caught up with Dreg and the two were going down to the lower level of the former mall. Now however what once was a parking garage was now makeshift housing. "I found a place for you John it was just emptied. The guy that had it before got lucky and found a job then moved out to a place in Faultline."

He looked at Carl as they passed the makeshift buildings Most were made from former office cubicles that been salvaged from nearby office buildings. Dreg smiled then "Glad to hear the main reason for this place is working. A place to get back on ones feet."

Carl nodded "Yeah Him and his wife had just married too. A real happy ever after. Now just need to get an army of Fairy Godmothers down here for the rest of us Cinderellas."

For the first time in a long time Dreg laughed "I think I fit with the Shrek crowd now."

Carl stopped and opened the door to a one room chamber. "Well Shrek this isn't the swamps but welcome home."
