I should add this. I have an NA account but wanted to play with EU people. I'm new to this side so I'm not an expert on how things work here. My comments are based on my experiences on NA servers. I joined because these servers are in the US now and the latency is low for me.

Thanks. I wasn't sure exactly how the transfers work. I've never done. Level 5 is not that high but that is 5 hours of work for each of my characters which adds up to 15 hours. I'm paying the fee.

Amen. Over the holiday weekend, I played from December. 24-1st and got 5 of each of these based on 12 hours of play daily:

St. Louis Slammer
Recovery Serum
Revolver
Gabriel's Hammer
Stun Grenades
Hand Grenades
Plasmatic Taser
Envenomed Dagger


But I just deleted them because my recipe space was just too valuable.
Also, I did get some temp powers that were very useful over that weekend too. Temp power that increased my salvage storage from 50-60.
If I could get more varied temp powers I would be less angry about it but the above was all I consistently got.

I read all both the novels(web of archanos and freedom phalanx).

1. What is the agenda of the Well of Furies?
2. What does Sister Psyche see in Maniticore?
3. Will the Women of the Furies make a presence in the game? They seem to be from the time of Cimerora but in the WofA, they moved into the penthouse with Statesman. Also, what role will they play further in the story? The game portrays the well of furies as a sentient lifeform but in the book it was a passive instrument.
4. How is Positron financing his research? In the FreePha, he and Snapse didn't seem to be financially well off.
5. What's the story behind Recluse came to settle on Mako, Ghost Widow, Black Scorpion, and Scirocco as the foundation for his organization? How exactly and when did he take over Arachnos? He killed someone, right?

Please consider a special SG Invention Station that ties into the BM or WW and allows access to the personal storage, rack storage and vault storage. I spent the holiday weekend going back a forth between these during my run to the 12 alpha slots. I had so much stuff to get rid of after every run that this activity stole hours from my game play.

It was so bad I had to keep a notepad next to workstation to write down what I needed to build these recipes. I want realism but too much is questionable especially for those that have lots of characters to alpha.

Here's some potential thoughts to brainstorm

Level 1 Invention workstation(existing)
Level 2 Invention workstation(access to personal, rack and vault storage)
Level 3 Invention workstation(Access to BM/WW and personal, rack and vault storage).

The EU servers don't have nearly the volume of the US servers. It's challenging but can be managed easily. Just post in here a few hours before you play(1 day is preferred). Post what you want to do and users will look for you. I always check before I go online.

The lower volume is nice because you won't experience massive lag like on NA servers. I can actually do main events and their fun here :-)

I'm on Defiant but I'm moving my characters to Union because Defiant has too low user volume for me to maturate my characters quickly. I should be on Union by the Double XP weekend. Look me up, Stoica Attitude(Villain Mastermind) or Bruxelles Attitude(Hero Scrapper), Europa Atitude(Hero Dominator).

Just FYI, if your serious about this game, you'll have to plan your game time. Not everyone has the same "attitudes" and planning let's you get the best and most committed players. Some of these missions are long and to have someone quit in the middle is frustrating. Nothing like doing the 6 hour Quaterfield mish and having someone or a few quit in the middle :-)

Plus the young people don't read the boards so for the most part, you'll get higher quality here than in the real-time.

Farm the LGTF with your friends. Done right, you can get 10-15 shards per run. I did my character for all 270 shards during the last week of December. Also, you can buy the Grai matter at the Vanguard stations with merit points. Kill everything, avoid the speed runs!!

Also, on the LGTF, you can run it back to back and the shard drops don't reduce. Plus you get the merit points too. This is the best one for shards because of the Rikti. Consider this the 2 for 1 Alpha Drive.

I'm have some low level characters(3 characters at level 5) on the Defiant that I want to move to Union.
I'm considering two options:

1. Delete them and recreate them on Union

2. Pay the transfer fees from Defiant to Union.

I have these questions:

1. How long does it take to transfer?
2. If I delete all of my characters, will I be able to choose Union instead of Defiant as my main server?

Over the holiday weekend, I thought it would be cool to be on Defiant but they have low volume(1 green dot all of December and January so far). Union gets two yellow dots which is manageable to me. I'm hoping to get this resolved before the double xp weekend.

Also, this will not work...the -project "eucoh" rubbish (it's unsupported and will not work). I just spent December fooling around the problems with EU client and I've seen everything.

You would be better off posting about this in the tech support forum but in the mean time there is an easy way to bypass the Updater altogther.

Create a shortcut to CityOfHeroes.exe then add -project "eucoh" to the end of it. For example, mine reads:

"C:\Games\City of Heroes\CityOfHeroes.exe" -project "eucoh"

I only use the Updater on patch days

Does this end on monday or sunday? The 31st is actually monday

The website says Thursday till Sunday but the link to the time and date says

West Coast is Mon 11:59 PM, London would be 7:59am Tuesday.
