All snipes are going to have single target DPA higher than almost any blaster ranged attack outside of Fire Blast - they'll even outdo Telekinetic Blast (1.65 DS/sec arcanatime adjusted).
Also... one of the Secondary Mutation buffs gives a small accuracy bonus which will not help. I'm trying to remember if there is a to hit buff in one of the mutations. -
No kidding, Agent. Zapp just became useful to my main besides picking off random NPCs at 300 feet. I already have Kismet slotted!
The real kicker is I have to give up something for Energize (and maybe even some slots). I already have Tier 4 Agility with End mod and recharge at least. -
It also sounds like Hawk wants to see how things work with the existing i24 changes (especially snipes) before adjusting ice, sonic, etc.

2:07: Chainmez Question: Yes thought about it. All of the Sustain secondaries affect you while mezzed. Many people see main problem is mez protection but it mostly tends an enemy to do is get in melee range. If we did anything about chainmez it would be to go through NPC powers and add mez supression.
2:08: Corrupters, Defenders, Doms all get the SNIPE and RANGE changes! Wooooooo!!
2:09: Animation time changes coming. Issue 24 beta.. hints... booo! But coming!
2:10: Really Hard Way badge talk. Blah, blah, blah, DPS optimized... will be farmed one day...
2:11: Blazing Aura - aggro machine - if you used it in melee ranged. Blaster one doesn't have a taunt.
2:12: Force of Thunder (blaster L-Clap) - 1 percent of health per second, half enhanceable. Works if it hits nothing. So base health of a blaster is 1204+ (so 12 pts per second, I believe that's 238 regen).
2:13: Chilling Embrace: Absorb, enh. level 50, 110 hp worth of absorb every 3 seconds. Range is increased to 30 feet!!
2:14: Stalker Snipes improved as well. Patron pools.
2:14: No respec planned, powers work as is - name changed. Considering regen/recovery can be slotted... eh.
2:15: Will this make players play more blappers. Hawk planned changes to make players enjoy both range and melee playstyles.
2:16: Again - Nukes will NOT be touched. So crashes stay for now (blarg bad typing before I said no crash, Nukes not being changed).
2:16: Jokes about Martial arts/dual blades for blasters, awkward pause. Likely planned and Hawk is trying is poker face.
2:17: Talk of Knock-To possible. With existing KB resists, new code would be needed to add a "Magnetic Pull!" kind of power
2:18: Zwil owns a lot of hats.
2:18: Sets without Snipes will be considered in beta. This means Ice, Sonic - Masters of Math will work their magic later.
2:19: Again, Defenders, Doms, Corrs - 40 ft blast powers extended to 80.
2:20: Again, Snipes get their instant fire from having +20 to hit. Kismet +6 IO, team tactics, fortitude, aim, etc all work. NOTE: +Accuracy does NOT help snipes fire faster.
2:20: Hybrid talk, is it working as intended - Hawk thinks it is. Made better during beta while talking with community.
2:21: Hawk wants Support to be improved, better said: He wants it to feel more active. It will be a while before he gets to it.
2:22: Mental not getting improved. Drain Psyche is absurdly stong and everyone knows it. We are NOT changing it. Not worth it. Been in game too long.
2:23: Talk of Click to Activate (or powers changed) - Perma out of the bag! 60 seconds, wont stack. Just have to remember to click. Energize (conserve power) will need recharge still. No one asked if Energize was getting the quicker timer, I guess it was implied here in chat.
2:25: Greedy blaster question of how to make the AT better than Dom/Corrs as end all be all damage dealers... um, no we want things to be even.
2:25: Hawk - 1 second snipes will really change things for some people.
2:26: Zwil and Hawk, we both want Energy Melee improved. When we can we will. We really want Energy Melee better.
2:27: Respec Terra Volta trial, request - on no one's docket.

The only thing electric I haven't gone full tilt on is scrapper and stalker armor - but that's because of the 75 percent resistance cap. I'll likely make one of each one day. -

P.S. - That trailer shows me nothing besides Bond will kill fools to artful backdrops (which I'm completely fine with). Hopefully I can enter a flick (for once lately!) without knowing the plot. -
The Avengers hit $200 million estimated, which tops the Harry Potter finale by $30+ million for best weekend ever. The only record it did not take was best Friday/opening day.
Box Office Mojo says it even has A+ word-of-mouth, so it could have legs on top of that. Estimates now say $500 million for it's total run, but I'm thinking $600+.
I saw it and loved it even through the illness I'm fighting right now, so I fully intend to see it again! -
Defender or Corr? Traps - allows you to set up Beam attacks while something not you gets shot.
Blasters? I hate beam in blasters. However, I can see devices looking good with it (gun drone with a mech!). Being a fan of Macross Plus - /energy would rock (stuns, burst damage melee, boost range and power boost are a great set of tools for beam).
Edit: Forgot to say what beam does - basically a longish animating, single-target focused weapon set. The disintegrate effect rewards stringing attacks together with extra damage and effects. -

Lemkin nerf made this a bit easier as I got my time down to 5 minutes 54 seconds.

Reviews have been fairly positive, but this still feels like a matinee watch if for nothing else off the vibe it's giving (fun/underdog story/scifi). I still need to see Drive first.

I know tankers got defense added to a martial arts attack, but a general stacking +defense combo meter for all Martial Arts toons would make it more relevant.

EDIT: That toon is my main, has purples about anywhere I could reasonably put them, a stealth IO, super speed, used a raptor pack in bursts for obstacles. I'm not above clicking rages to one-shot mobs with bonesmasher!
My melee toons with some dps to them do this in the 8-minute range just off ninja run and sprint running while rocking 2 or 3 defensive inspirations to click glowies untouched. -
Snakes mission in mercy had interesting issues:
Ok picture upload fail but I had the following -
Mercs/Traps MM - two targeting drones, all pets covered in a bright tesla cage aura, MM was carrying two Viper blades.
dark/fire brute - fire aura powers were casting Dark Miasma FX such as tar patch and shadow fall. Voltaic sentinels were seen - two viper blades in hand.
Oh, and the snakes were packing UZIs...that shot arrows -
I got home Tuesday at 8:30 p.m. est from work and tried to get some friend's names and failed, but was happy to find out that they got the names themselves! We missed one name in the bunch though (King), but the thinking there is King is a developer or NPC name.

I've enjoyed those 5 Gamestop preorder goodies since I got Going Rogue. They make me want to try new toons (I often save 4 of the 5 for a toon's two primary aoes - 2 each).
The Proc, as Snowglobe (I saw you save your name on Exalted with the default costume Tuesday!) said, stops working when you hit level 21. The 16 percent damage and recharge stays all the way to 50 if you keep it - which I find is worthwhile on SO-only builds to save money.
I think I still get the proc when I exempted down, but I'll have to test it to be sure. -
The real question - can I dismiss missions like Sister Jocasta or Debutantes and still get to 5 tips that day? A cautious WOO! here.
