  1. Perhaps now would be the time to re-suggest something that I mentioned a while ago - staggered maintenance times for Mondays and Fridays. Why not schedule the two windows at separate times so that our timezones aren't catching the brunt of every single maintenance window?

We all know that maintenance is a necessary evil, but hitting the same group of players twice a week is excessive, and completely avoidable in my opinion. In my case this is about 40% of my weekly play time gone for the foreseeable future, which is no small matter. I know that we're not the largest group by any means, but that doesn't mean that we should suffer as second-class citizens.
  2. I'm enjoying DUNCE, and I'd be up for another superteam if it's on a night and time that suits. RIA would be good because it saves me from having to think of a character concept.
  3. I'd just like to take a moment to revel in the fact that there was maintenance last night that didn't affect us!
  4. Without wanting to be too parochial, I'd seriously recommend taking a look at Justice if you're looking for some more teaming. I've experienced the pain of trying to scrape together teams on Victory during the Australian peak times, but I've run more Strike Forces on Justice in the last 9 months than I ran on Victory in the entire 27 months I spent there.
  5. I'm hoping that work will be kind to me this Thursday - I'd love to get that Flier badge.
  6. I was cut off in mid-RP, which is never good. Not the worst loss I've had due to to maintenance, though I don't think I've ever lost anything that wasn't recoverable.

Besides, beating maintenance by the narrowest of margins is the Oceanic way! I still have fond memories of the Ice Mistral SF that we finished right before shutdown after going into the last mission with less than ten minutes to go.
  7. Justice is the "unofficial" Australia/New Zealand server, so that's usually a good bet for anyone who's in or around the UTC +10 and UTC +12 timezones. I play there, and I heartily recommend it.

I miss watching Shane Warne methinks.
I watched the last Rugby World Cup final in a pub in Auckland, and I have to say that I was slightly surprised to find that the majority of the locals were supporting England over Australia. Pretty sure we'd be happy for NZ to beat the motherland at pretty much anything.
  10. Finally, a place where I can whinge about the servers going down early... and someone might actually sympathise!
  11. Well, I can tell you that my post number has doubled since this board went up. I'm now expecting to hit triple digits sometime in 2012, down from my previous estimate of just before the Earth's heat death.

While Justice does appear to have the highest concentration of Oceanics, they're everywhere because there's very little anywhere that directs people to Justice.

We do try and actively get people on the Australia channel to come check out the community on Justice though, with some success. I can understand why people are reluctant to leave their characters on other servers though.
Character transfer helps, though I spent more than two years on Victory before the deadness at off-peak times convinced me to make the move to Justice.
  13. I joined!

    So what does it do?

    US Edition?

There might be now, it's been a while since I was there. If so, that might be an option.

    US Edition?

I saw a boxed Architect Edition in JB Hi Fi the other day, you might be able to find one ofthose around the place. I seem to remember the electronics shops being pretty lacking in Auckland, though, so buying it on the NCSoft site might be a better bet.
  16. Hi, I'm @Redoubt and I live in Canberra, Australia. I play on Justice, and like Lili I'm a S.I.N.I.S.T.E.R. co-leader and an Australia op.

Scrappers and Brutes make up the bulk of my high level characters, though I dabble in the weaker classes from time to time. I even played a Dominator once. :-P
  17. I heard that the FX for the new Psi Blaster set will all be "DOOOOMMMM!!!"

I hope I didn't miss the boat on that joke.
