  1. LOL Stalemate.

As for Oz, Happy Hatching Day!

  2. Red Valkyrja

    Dual Origins

I have a couple of characters that I'd like to give a different origin to their Primary and Secondary.
  3. Besides, Ultra Mode is not just about how the water looks on the surface. The video they showed at HeroCon had the camera pan up so that as you looked more directly down into the water, you would see more of what was below the surface. Like the tiling in the pools around Atlas.

It was so cool to watch them manually manipulate the time of day, and watch the shadows move across the plaza. It was so much more defined than it is now.

[edit] Looking at the link you posted, I should probably let you know that I am running on Vista 32.
I was not getting the exact same visual issue that you were getting, but there were times where I would see totally messed up surfaces and artifacting. I have a screenie around here somewhere. But yes, I would also crash.

As for the the Vista driver, it's in the menu right above the link I posted or here.

Don't forget to run Drive Sweeper in Safe Mode after uninstalling your previous Catalyst/video drivers. It's located in the same menu.

Edit: Here is some of what I was going through.

It wasn't always like that, when I started up the game everything would look normal, then I'd see some surfaces start to mess up, or my power bars repeated at the top of the screen.
  5. We're not sure of anything, people. Until a redname comes in here and clarifies then it's all WAGs.

    Case in point..

"ZOMG We're getting new costume pieces!!!11!1!!1!eleventy-eleven!!111!1!11!!!"

    -.-
  6. I installed ATI Catalyst 10.1 on my machine 2 days ago and have yet to see a single issue. Prior to that I was getting all sorts of rendering issues, especially after Alt+Tabbing another window on top of CoX, usually culminating in a crash. AMD site
  7. Don't listen to him Clutch, they look just fine the way they are.

  8. Absolutely stellar, Clutch!

I love the detail, especially on the braid of hair and on her corset.
  9. Highest damage I've seen?

And no, that's not an edit. Got that from dropping off the floating CoT island while in AE. (I think it's been fixed since then.) I had to do it a couple of time, because I was sure that it was a couple of numbers over the top of one another.
  10. I was posting it again for Nutek, who is having the same problem that I was.

I posted it above, but here it is again. I hope it solves your problem.

I had this problem, and come to find out Aero had been disables. If you are on Win7 rt-click on your taskbar, select Preferences. If Aero is greyed out, then go to your desktop Preferences and change the theme to one of the original themes. That should re-enable Aero, and Alt+Tab should work again.
  12. I think this has to be my favourite screenshot of any of my characters. Nightblooming Orchid.

Although I'm fond of this one of my main, Angel Red.

The Windows key and Alt+Tab didn't work for me, but I run Win7 and was able to find what was causing the problem.
  15. Congratulations Kyo! That's fantastic news.

    And about the TF

    *whew*

Not that Scarlet is that far from hitting 40, but I certainly don't like being on the last wrung while running in these TF's.
  16. Guides and Resources for Collecting Character Art

Here you will find information on commissioning original art, the why's wherefore's and whatnot's, as well as where you can find artists.

Collecting Original Character Art - Bayani, an exceptional guide on the ins and outs of the commission process.

The Network - A Resource (revamped) - Thor's Assassin, a rather sizable index of commissionable artists that TA has thrown together. Also available on his DA page.
  17. Protector has a great community. Yes, it's less populated (it has been referred to as the 'Unofficial Solo Server' before,) but that doesn't necessarily mean it's less active. Discounting the top slot (most recently visited) I've seen Protector in all but the 'Top 3' slots, even edging out Infinity for the #4 slot.

Community-wise I feel that is has much in common with Justice.

Playing on the lower pop servers, hitting the Global Channels like 'Jello Shooter' which is primarily a Protectorite channel, really does make it easier to find out what's going on where.

I recommend hitting the server forums, see what people are like down there, poke your nose in to a few threads. Most of them will have a 'Global Channel' thread.

I can't speak for the current atmosphere on Freedom, the majority of my experiences over there have not been enjoyable but that was some time ago. I've heard from several people that things have changed since the AE fix. And because of it's population it has attracted a higher percentage of PvP'ers.

Just remember, once you start over here, free server transfers are available to the end of the month. So now, you can roll up a character and do a 'server tour' until you find a home.

Edit: My vote is for merging the NA and EU server list, so people don't have to choose.
  18. For me globals disappearing, usually precedes a dc or the server going down.
  19. Well, for me it was after the install, and I entered the Character Creator. Other than about a month or so where I avoided Atlas Park like the plague and turned off broadcast, it just keeps getting better for me.
  20. I like Khelds, especially the one played by my friend, he does a kick@$$ tanking job on his Kheld. "No one" and "Everybody" are two terms that people should refrain from using, because it's rarely if ever true.
  21. The unique title did not survive the forums transfer, which is sad. I miss GA's Postmaster General title and it was easy enough to locate people like the PERC Reps and such.

Some have already been mentioned and some have not, but my list of people who's post carry more weight than others are Memphis_Bill, Aett_Thorn, FatherXmas, Arcanaville, Zombie_Man, BillZBubba, and Fleeting Whisper just to name a few.

Bill pretty much said it the best.

  22. Happy Hatching Day, Scooter!

  23. Tools of the Trade

(Eventually) Below you will find peripherals, hardware, and the tools many artists use in the creation of their works. I'll break it down physical and digital mediums and will likely split them into two separate posts. Person preference for artists has a lot to do with the items listed, so before investing in anything I would definitely ask questions and do some research.
