Alt-tab doesn't work in-game

temporary fix is to run CoH in windowed mode, but at your desktop resolution.
Annoying really.
Running Win7?
I had this problem, and come to find out Aero had been disables. If you are on Win7 rt-click on your taskbar, select Preferences. If Aero is greyed out, then go to your desktop Preferences and change the theme. That should re-enable Aero, and Alt+Tab should work again.
Running Vista home premium. I'm kind of bummed. I have not been able to find a fix for this.

It's not a fix, but it is a workaround. Like je-saist said, run it in Windowed Mode at your Desktop resolution.
It's worked for me since late May when I got a new computer with Vista on it.
If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

I have tried running in windowed mode at desktop resolution but the game is pretty choppy. I am just going to have to live with it I guess.

If it is choppy in Windowed mode at Desktop Resolution, you have other problems. I've had no choppiness at all running in Windowed mode on Vista or Windows 7.

You can also have another program running in the background if you want to alt-tab out. That tends to make vista a little more responsive when you try it. I use notepad, since it doesn't suck up resources.

Making the slight assumption that this is the same 'bug' as I'm seeing, having another application running in the background does not help.
Recently, I started playing again and I find that I can't seem to alt+tab to any other applications. Some investigation last night resulted in some very weird discoveries.
Actually, I can alt+tab to another application, it just doesn't allow the application to display over the top of CoH. I managed to get a browser window active, and accepting input last night, with mouse cursor changes, but no actual display.
It's annoying. I'm also on Vista with a Radeon graphics card of some kind.

Been like this since day one for me. I learned quickly to set the game to windowed mode. I size the window manually to be just slightly smaller than my desktop, so that I can see the toolbar at the bottom. I used to use alt+tab with other games, but I've gotten to like running the windowed mode.

that would work red, if the OP was running win7. he is running vista home premium. if he has the game in full screen and not windows mode then he should be able to hit the windows key and it will bring up his task bar.
I was posting it again for Nutek, who is having the same problem that I was.
Pressing Alt-Tab, followed by Ctrl-Alt-Delete and then Escape usually works for me in Vista and Windows 7 when running fullscreen mode.

Hitting ctrl+alt+del does work, but it's kind of an extreme way to get to another window.
It would be interesting to know if this is a Radeon graphics artefact.

I got a new Vid card Radeon 4850. Updated drivers twice and still cannot alt-tab out to a different application while CoH is active. Any fixes on this?
