And no, I don't play FOTM. My first character, who also happens to be my first 50 is a Kin/Arch Defender and far from one of the most commonly played powerset combinations. I use Mids, but not on a regular basis and I think one of my 70-80 characters has a purple recipe on them somewhere.
Considering your reputation on the forums, and that you admit to getting booted for teams often, it leads me to wonder what the common denominator it here... -

I had this happen to me just the other day when Firefox upgraded. (It also occurred back after the swap.)
Basically I deleted all cookies/history and empties the cache, and restarted. I've not had a problem with the forums remembering me since then. -

To bug it use /bug 'title of bug'
/petition is used to call a GM, whether or not they could actually do anything, I am uncertain.
If you do /bug it then you should get an email from support confirming that they received the bug report, you can reply to that with more detailed information, and they should escalate it.
Just remember to put any extra info between the two green lines on their email.
I'd also recommend posting the problem up in the Tech Issues and Bug thread. -
Because no one has mentioned it, when you view the server list the top most one will be the last server you had logged in to, immediately followed by the 'currently' least active, down to the most active.
Now, it was mentioned that Protector is the 'smallest server', that does not translate to 'least active'. It's usually in the top three (list-wise,) but I've also seen it hovering down in the middle of the pack, and as far down as 4th (from the bottom.)
It really depends on whats going on. -

My complaint is that on a regular basis, it will reset on a regular basis. The list does not remain sorted.

I sort by Character Name, it will automatically list those signed in at the top, bright green then they're on the same server, muted green then they're on another server.
