I remember BaB posting a while back about weapon customisation and originally wanting weapons to drop as physics objects when the character dies, but being unable to make them inherit the player's chosen colours. And if that's impossible, I'd imagine getting something to take on a player's entire costume would be whole orders of magnitude more so.
Still... Would be SO cool. -
Quote:Depends if you're looking in Pocket D or not. The chances are far higher if you're not.
PS: Whats the chance of finding a nice romance without it becoming soley based on eRP?
As for the fighting or lack thereof, it's fairly common to see people try to beat each other up there. Sometimes they take it to the arena, sometimes they don't. But it happens, despite the big 'there is no fighting here' thing that comes up when you go in. One would think DJ Zero would enforce that one fairly well. He doesn't want his club blown to kingdom come by a superpowered bar brawl after all. -
Quote:Or do what I do and play on both servers! Wheee!
then jump over to Virtue when you've got a solid base in game lore and a handle on your characters. -
But, they're SUPER! Besides, overkill is hilarious and I will not be persuaded otherwise.
-
Fine then, disintegration it is. Or I could borrow Khell's graser cannon, I guess.
-
What, us crushing it in global channels isn't enough for you?

Quote:Be aware this may fairly quickly result in loss of faith in humanity and/or a crushed soul.
If you're desperate, hang out in Pocket D on Virtue for a while. -
Quote:Last I checked, that one was already ingame and has been for almost a couple of years now. The devs called it willpower instead though.
Im sure that a superhero or villain could strengthen their mind to resist major damage, whether it be a natural, mutant, technological, scientific,or magical orgin? -
Welp, if we're posting wishlists:
- Power customisation for epics (ATs and pools) and pool powers. Preferrably with jetpack options for flight. Could be made the 'main' feature of the issue, thus more effort devoted to it. If not, focus on either epic pools, normal pools or epic ATs and make new content as the main feature.
- Some new costume pieces. The aforementioned jetpacks, so you can have them while not flying too. Or maybe they'd be better as just a costume piece period, that animates when flying ala wings or the existing rocket boots. Plus a few non-related pieces cause not everyone wants one specific thing.
- Some 'real' content. New TFs, new story arcs, new maps, enemies or features for Architect. Don't really care what, just something new to do.
- Bugfixes and QoL stuff, as per normal.
- Maybe some new IO sets. Recharge heavy sets for ranged AoE, like what Eradication and Obliteration were for PBAoE. -
Probably the same thing that happens when a zombie invasion drops on top of a rikti invasion already in progress. (I could be wrong, but I think whichever spawns second just overwrites the first, ending it prematurely regardless)
-
I will support this on one condition - that there be a cooldown no less than 60 seconds placed on it. To prevent people being jerks by spamming you with duel requests when you're trying to do something else.
-
Quote:Or they could just use what the already have and allow you to select a different animation for the power when customising it, like you can now for super strength and martial arts. I presume the same thing should work, unless there's something I'm missing.
You could bind a command to play the alternate animations as your Teleport activates. Like "powexecname Teleport $$pow_animate Runic_Circle", firing off normal Teleport (with the same activation time and everything) and playing the chosen animation instead of the default.
As for customising pools in general, I believe they're next up on the list. As I heard it, the hurdle was that they're not available at character creation, unlike primary/secondary which are. But don't quote me on that. -
(( Mmhm. If only to get someone else to post in here. Where'd everyone go? So many people made one post and vanished.
))

Quote:Dead on the blaster's part is dependent on how long after mob death. Yay for RotPBurst, Slug, Sniper rifle. Thats three.
Although I know blaster maths is very simple, so you an be forgiven. The usual equation is, after all; Mob + Blaster = Dead
And the dead has the bonus of working both ways -
Quote:Even if the suggested set never makes it live, both of these need to be put into the game somehow for sheer comedy value. Make them inventable temp powers or something. What does Boxing (that name is taken, I believe) and Kicking have to do with grenades?
Boxing > Grenade Glove: You strap a grenade to your knuckle and uppercut an enemy. The blow knocks the foe in the air. Exploding punch FTW!
Roundhouse kick > Plant mine: With an explosive on your heel, you stomp the foe's foot into the ground for an weak initial amount of damage. After a short moment, the explosive goes off, leaving the foe stunned. -
I got one character from 22 to 32 and another from 38 to 50. Was awesome. Also, Kyo did put in a petition for the bugged towers but the GM never got back to us so meh. Our failure though was nothing to do with bugs. I won't point blame, but suffice to say Recluse HURTS.
<-- was the one who suggested we take that last shot at Rommy before giving up too. -
Quote:"Was also... tiring", Alex replied, swaying slightly as exhaustion fought against stubbornness for whether she'd pass out or not. Eventually, after a moment to catch her breath, stubbornness won out. She'd have to conserve her energy for now. It did and would recover in time, but that only happened so fast and she doubted the zombies would let her off easy for that long.
"That was impressive!" M221 exclaimed, giving Alex a large thumbs up.
"sounds like a plan to me", she agreed with M221E, while looking to the bigger robot to lead the way. Lack of energy would apparently curb her recklessness some, for now at least. -
1pm? Aww.
<-- doesn't even get up until about 7pm your time.
Edit: Unless I don't stay up until 4am and go to bed early, for the first time in weeks? *proceeds to do that* Will still miss Posi though. (Which may or may not be a bad thing, considering I did it yesterday and more than one Posi a week has the potential to crush souls) -
Quote:IMO: not enough range. Even earth assualt (described by the devs as a melee focused set, if I remember rightly) has two ranged powers. Three if you count fissure, which has a very short range but technically IS a ranged power. I would take out Cobra Strike (Assault sets typicallly don't have control powers, that's what the primary is for), and replace it with a second shuriken power, a stronger version of the first one more or less. Then also remove Tiger's Gaze (Again, control powers belong in the primary) and replace it with either a cone ranged attack (Throw lots of shurikens at once, maybe?) or Exploding Shuriken from the scrapper epic pool.
1 - Shuriken
2 - Storm Kick
4 - Cobra Strike
10 - Crane Kick
16 - Tiger's Gaze
20 - Crippling Axe Kick
28 - Dragon's Tail
35 - Eagle's Claw
38 - Master's Insight
Also, if that Master's Insight thing is supposed to be the core power the entire set is built around, it shouldn't be the last power you get. I'd put it earlier in the set, maybe 16 or 20. -
I can't promise I'll be there for the whole thing (Or high enough level for some of it) but I'll join any that start while I'm online over the weekend.
<-- is @General Idiot ingame. -
Quote:Alex almost yelped in surprised at the sudden influx of power. It felt weird, but not entirely bad. Still, having been given all this destructive potential, why not use it? The bots did say they were shielded from radiation, after all...
Still centralized between the two, M221E then activated her Energy Converter, reducing enemy destructive power and giving it to her allies.
So it was then, that she began to glow, much like she had momentarily before she let off that burst of radiation before. This time, though, it wasn't momentary. It was continuous, for several seconds and gaining intensity as she forced more and more energy to the surface and held it there. Finally, after reaching the point where it'd hurt people's eyes to look directly at her, she could hold it no longer. So she let it go, all at once in a massive wave of radioactive destruction that literally vaporised the zombies closest to her. Further out, they were merely dropped in their tracks (though one melted into a puddle of disgusting looking green goo) but no less dead. In the aftermath of all this, not a single zombie stood standing save one - the 'boss' one M221E had been targetting. And even it looked decidedly worse for wear.
As the mushroom cloud produced by what may as well have been a nuclear detonation slowly dissipated, it would become clear that Alex herself was in little better condition. She swayed slowly on her feet, obviously exhausted from expending so much energy in one go. It seemed nothing more than sheer force of will even kept her upright at present, she was on the verge of passing out from exhaustion.
(( Atomic Blast, gotta love it. With aim and buildup too, hence the chargeup time.))
-
Quote:Perhaps it would. Perhaps it wouldn't. Perhaps she should just smack them in the face instead. She chose the third option, turning one unfortuante zombie into an improvised projectile with an energy-enhanced punch. It flew backwards a fair distance, scattering other zombies in its wake. Probably stupidly she charged after it, intent on pounding its face further into the dirt. Whether she was this reckless in real life was anyone's guess (she was, at times) but in here it seemed only a matter of time before she'd get herself killed by it.
Perhaps longer exposure to Alex's radiation would make them more susceptible to his energy laced fists.
And a fairly short amount of time at that, if the zombies that closed in behind her were having anything to say about it. True, a fair number of them were understandably ticked off at M221 and focused on him, but he couldn't get all of them. And for Alex's squishy self, it'd only take a few to put her down. -
Quote:At this, Alex broke into a grin and raised both hands above her head. Between them formed a largeish ball of glowing green energy, which she proceeded to lob at the zombies. Hitting just as M221 reached them, it exploded in a wave of energy and even a small mushroom cloud. "Least he has armor", she commented to M221E before charging after him, glowing fists raised to pulverise the first zombie she got to. It dropped to the ground, left headless by her energy-charged punch.
"We are shielded from most forms of energy emission, no need to hold back!" M221 said, its voice slightly jovial as it charged forward after the knocked down zombies.
Now, being in the middle of a large group of zombies is not the best place to be when you have little or no defensive abilities to speak of. Unless, of course, you are capable of releasing a wave of degenerative radiation which is decidedly painful to anything unfortunate enough to be nearby. Which Alex was, and did. Most of the weaker zombies dropped outright from that combined with her earlier area strikes, leaving her and the robots free to take on the bigger ones without their cannon fodder backing them up. -
I look at threads like this, then I look at my friend who got some 10 levels in about three hours. And I can't help but laugh.
(If you must know, it was my lvl 50 SS/elec brute in and his level 13 or so guy, plus a heap of Borea's repeatable missions spawned for 8. Oh, how I love the new difficulty settings.) -
This is doable already, even without the splasher program. (Though that'd be easier). The folder you need is (COH install folder)/data/Sound/Ogg/Boombox/ and the filenames are TrackX_loop.ogg where X is a number from 1 to 25.
Note that'll replace the existing boombox music. (and only that, the rest of the game is unaffected and the only one who'll hear your custom track is you, everyone else hears default music) Though, I don't know anyone who actually likes the default boombox music so meh.
As a sidenote, you can change all sorts of other things in there too. Like having the ghost ship play the Ghostbusters theme, or having the propaganda speakers on the Council Empire map play Hell March.
