Also Avatea, in response to your selling NCsoft's intellectual property argument, people always find loopholes.

For example, go onto any ebay listing and you'll see

"You are paying for the service of having your account levelled up to 50, with 5000 million infamy" blah blah.

People always find loopholes like this to prove they aren't selling NCsoft's intellectual property, which is why ebay never removes listings of game accounts being sold.

And also, how can it be illegal to purchase accounts? I understand how it is illegal to sell accounts (sellling intellectual property of ncsoft)

But i find buyers are never punished. I found this to be the case with lineage 2, for example. How can you possibly punish buyers? They aren't breaking any rules. Just curious.

I think following the in-place con system, grey should be useless noob zones, green is stronger, then blue, white is average, yellow, orange, red are inreasingly dangerous, then purple.

Playing a low level stone isn't hard.

I've got a 50 SS/stone and he's been fine throughout his life of villainy.

Not everyone uses stone armor though, and it's already the case every powerset has it's perks and drawbacks.

Funnily enough i think that kind of disscussion, especially when multiple people are involved, is entirely on purpose. Just because it's bad doesn't mean it's a mistake.

And even if people learn from possible mistakes, nothing says they're going to act on it.

Think of the extra dimension it'd add to fighting. Having to run an extra 50 feet to catch up with an enemy, difficult eh?

The mobs might get 1 or 2 ranged shots in before you're in their face.

The 'right thing to do' is a meaningless statement. 'the right thing' is a completely subjective concept. Maybe a dose of reality will be helpful?


I've already proven to you that i can use swear words in a way that does not negate or degrade disscussion, i only swear to add emphasis to a point, in that context they're really not that bad.

You can't argue what is the right course of action based on subjective concepts such as the right thing.

And as for 'the forums at christmas' who says there will be a repeat of that? I see no evidence of it.

Next time you should try arguing from logic and reason, not 'the right thing to do' and using the past as evidence to predict the future.

I've been a moderator on about 4 websites i've managed, maintained and paid for myself, as well as a ton of free communities, but that doesn't change a damn thing.

Yes swear words are pre-meditated, and i use them to effectively express my point. They add impact to a statement. They get your point across.

Yes they can be abused and used to swear at people, i know this all too well because my swear filter is off ingame.

And you can't claim kiddies will be swearing alot on account of the fact you don't know how many players are kids, or their maturity level.

And i don't mean to be offensive (if I am I don't care) but this isn't your forum, and these aren't your members. Just because your forum went to hell after you took the swear filter off doesn't mean it will here.

Suggestion from other thread:

Ranged mobs could backpedal and fire their ranged attacks at you, and give the mobs sprint so they can actually run fast.

Also, consider giving all ranged mobs inherent combat jumping, so they can jump and strafe to the side while blasting away at players :P

Although you might think that i circumvented the swear filter, i was being polite in the sense i hid the profanities with asterisks. This game is 16+ as i understand it, and no one goes without hearing curses.

I don't even see why there IS swear filters to be honest avatea :\

I'm a firm believer in the idea free speech is a no holds barred arena, and i don't even see why we're moderated this heavily as it is -.-


On that note i think i'll politely apologise.

Last time i got into an argument with a moderator he started losing and had to lock the topic (*cough* ghostraptor *cough*)

This is the kind of stuff that got me banned when some kids petitioned me ingame. I wish the staff would look at things in terms of their context rather than just OMG YOU BROKE THE RULES BAN HAMMER TIME.

It *does* fix itself if you respec both builds into non-crab mode, i had the same issue from VEAT launch when i ran with a crab mode for the 1st 40 lvls, then switched to a bane on my second build, i simply respecced the crab mode into huntsman/bane and when i finished the respec the crab backpack had gone.

Or will the problem fix itself if i respec the crab build into a bane? so both builds are bane again?

I'm a bane spider, i respec'd my 2nd build into a crab. When i changed build back to a bane, the crab backpack is still there.


Went to tailor, it won't go away.

If this is a known issue, or if someone has a solution, i'd like to know it, and thanks in advance.

They should make it so that mobs can back-pedal out of your range in order to nuke you.


Then we could have serious corruptor mobs :P

I set up my account with a dvd collectors edition, and have used modern serials with it, so i guess it works the other way around, although i am not entirely sure.

I've recently recovered from a ban because someone petitioned me out of spite, and so if you DO find a collectors edition code, be careful what you do ingame x)
