Some heroes, try as they might, simply can't defy gravity and fly, some can't leap tall buildings in a single bound.
Does this mean that they don't deserve to see what it's like on top of Paragon's tallest structures? I certainly don't think so.
I'd like to propose a wall running or climbing travel power. It would work by, while toggled, treating any solid surface as flooring (ie, something a character can attach to) It could be running, climbing or even crawling, like our friendly neighbourhood guy in red and blue. -
I have to say, this thread is worrying to me.
Are all incarnate trial goers going to expect me to know exactly what to do from the start? I mean I read up on the wiki but until I have actually tried this stuff out myself I'm going to be a little hopeless.
I really don't like to think I won't be welcome on incarnate trials just because I don't have experience in them -
As a new player myself, I do love the LFG screen, I just wish there were more short, instanced trials like Death From Below, as from what I understand there really aren't any others like that which are relatively short, lots of fun and not so difficult you need to be a +4 incarnate to be able to do it

Quote:Yeah, I'm really looking forward to the incarnate stuffI left the game in 2009 to AE broadcast spam looking for farms. I came back to endless Sewer Trial in Help channel. The content added makes up for it though, Incarnate trials are very fun, despite the 'raid objective' windows being so clunky and overflowingly large..
Been researching it on the wiki and everything

So, a little over a month has passed since I first donned a mask and cape and set out on to the streets of Paragon City to fight the forces of Evil(and wrote my original review of CoH:F.
In my month here I have made reasonable progress (main character is 45, 13 others ranging from 30 to 12, can't wait to see what the fuss is about over incarnate skills at 50)
I am well and truly in love with Paragon City, the storylines are immersive and absorbing, the missions never seem dull when you have a good team, the virtually infinite costume customisation combinations (alliteration FTW) and the costume creator itself are absolutely amazing.
CoH is graphically stunning, too (I play on fully maxed ultra mode) and I still wonder just how much time went in to those cape physics.
Another thing I adore about CoH is the villains, because they are people you can truly hate. The Circle of Thorns with their evil sacrificial rituals, the Vazhilok with their experiments on the dead, I hate them all so much I always feel pleased whenever I beat them down.
Almost important as the game itself are the people running it, and I have to say after having a GM come in to the game and talk me through issues on several occasions, seeing the brilliant level of community interaction and enjoying the events run by the GM's has made me a devout NC Soft fanboy.
The community itself (except for a select few on the forums >.> ) is brilliant, friendly, helpful and one of the best MMO communities I have ever had the pleasure to be a part of.
All in all, I regret not a single moment of my time spent here and I am proud to be a hero of Paragon City
Thought I'd make this one short and sweet rather than longer like my original. -
This happening has made me realise just how dependant I have become on the wiki in my short time here, now I'm going to have to annoy the help channel with my newbie questions XD

Ah, awesome
Ignore this thread then. Darn labyrinthine forums always hiding the things that are genuinely useful

So, while the wiki is down, I wanted to compile a list of bundle contents for the paragon market costume bundles (to add to the wiki at a later date, and hopefully avoid things like this in the future )
I have created a public, editable spreadsheet for data entry here and would greatly appreciate people's input on this -
Quote:That.... is an awesome website, thanks

Just a simple question, is the paragonwiki down? I've been trying to load it for the past half an hour and getting nothing but connection resets
-
This will be my first "Holiday" playing a game with as much costume customisation as CoH, so I would absolutely love if people could share with me (either via screenshot or description) what sort of epic, Halloween themed, costumes your super heroes/villains will be wearing (or even screenies of other holiday themed costumes)
So, show me how spooky you can be, Primal Earth dwellers. -
I was doing radio missions in Peregrine Island with a team, I selected a team member, then completed the mission, she was still inside the mission map and her "location" was displayed as a filepath, rather than map name
-
Semi-on-topic question, but Golden Girl, what CAD software did you render that in?
-
-
Were I limited to only two? I'd have my Ninja/Ninja stalker and a Fire/Emp defender (no where near enough defenders on Exalted for some reason
)
-
Full support for this idea. (Roman costume pieces ♥)
-
damn, had I known it was in the bundle I would have bought the bundle and saved myself hassle.
Please take in to consideration listing the contents of all market bundles, rather than just saying how many pieces there are in it -
Quote:Two quick questions:
Are you a hero of villain? And what server are you on?
Hero, playing Villain made me feel bad >.> and Exalted.
As for the zooming through the content, I know. With this particular character I just want a 50 ASAP to join in with my friends. I fully intend on going back over the game many multiple times
Also update on my level, I'm now at 43 -
Yay, we'll be getting the crows costume change
. I (check halloween page )
I am really hoping this is going to be visually identical to the crows teleport type deal that a certain badie in the first ward arc uses. And yay for a bat aura, too, can start working on a vampire themed hero -
While I really do appreciate the enhancements advice, I am more looking for advice on how to level/gain influence so that I can cap and then, once I have, I can respec and focus on optimising and such
-
Another suggestion I would like to add is one to improve existing auras. Currently a lot of auras (though especially for me, starburst glow), if you select black, just become very very hard to see, I would love to see some "negative light" type effects (think the Anime "Bleach", when Ichigo uses his hollow powers and gets a negative light/energy effect around him)
I think this also relates to Samuel's point about transparency -
Quote:Fixed it for you.I'm happy for maintenance because it's good for the servers, but I really wish the devs would check with me first. My number is on my account page. What kind of world is this? They need to call and ask if it's okay to do maintenance. I pay to play this game. Come on. I'm VIP! If I'm not playing I'll say okay. If I am playing I'll say they've got to reschedule. This is a fair and reasonable request. This is a slap in the face.... QQ

I wouldn't want a feature like this as it can most definitely cause huge segregation in a community.
I would recommend using something like TeamSpeak or RaidCall, which have in game overlay capabilities -
Well, this thread went off on a tangent I wasn't expecting at all XD
Yay for that.
