Stalkers don't have the same crit chance.

It can happen, I think - there are two ways for a stalker to crit.

Hidden status, which gives something like a 50% chance to crit on AoEs, and the team crit rate, which is 10%+3% per nearby teammate.

All level-less monsters have a level - for scrapyard, IIRC it's 25-30. You only notice it at a point when the mob gets easier even with the level scaling code.

For the OP - Flashback is a system that lets you go back and do story arcs and badge missions you missed. It auto-exemplars (part of sidekicking) you down the the max level of the mission's level range. Which may restrict powers available to you if you end up adjusted more than five levels below your max level.

If by "started playing today" you mean you're on a new account (trial and/or full new account running off the "free month" of gameplay) you won't be charged further - as was mentioned - if you check under the game account, it's sub status should say "none". Don't be afraid to make alts - the games "sidekicking" system artificially matches yours to the team leader (no mission selected/entered) or mission holder's (if selected mission does not belong to the lead. ) to make it easier for all to game together and still contribute.

Also, when you log in for the first time, you are assigned a global handle - it's based off your character's name. You can change this under the menu, once. This handle can send and recie e global (cross-server) messages. Many have it match their forum account display name (I do) and many don't - your choice. To use it the format "/t @Handle," note the @. Also, as names may have spaces (global and character) the comma after the name is always necessary for tells (coming from other games gets many people with this). Also, global messages (last few "received") you are sent while offline are stored until you log back in.
