Quote:That's the voucher. From what I understand the certificats let you use all capes/auras from when ever you use the certificate on a character.
So rather than just having booster pack stuff, you'd have access to the full cape/aura stuff even at level 1 assuming you waddle over to a cossie NPC.
The certificate thing might be a side effect of the fact that currently, there is no way for an /ingame/ unlock to affect the entire account. -
And it still requires separate clients unless you like to have to keep patching between versions.
In the launcher there is a way to make it add a beta server install. -
Long story short, /unbind is the command you want
-
-
There are three severs (or server groups, rather) players can deal with.
First is live.
Then there is test - aka "The Training Room" - needs a separate client
and then there is "Beta" - a third client is needed for this.
Are you on an EU account? Last I heard the system still hadn't be changed to allow EU accounts to copy from Live-to-Test. -
Quote:Also, think about it - if they did it for anyone they would have to for EVERYONE else. So very little gain for the players, but a pain and a noticeable loss (not just the refund but the accounting hours to decide the refund) for Paragon/NCSoft.I initially agreed on the idea of time proration, but then did the math. Here's how it works out...
In example for May, there are 31 days or 744 hours. If you take your monthly sub of $15 and divide that out, that's ~$0.02 per hour, USD. So, for todays particular downtime you are looking for an $0.08 proration to your sub. Across the entire month of May with all the varied large downtimes we've had, we might be looking at a $1 proration.
Honestly for me, the playtime is more important than that actual amount of money. I think May has also been an abnormal month in terms of downtimes.
Especially since it would not just be for City of Heroes, but for every NCSoft game. -
Quote:Maybe another DXP-Reactivation weekend is coming up?It may be safer and easier to test Freedom at load X than any other server, but that doesn't address the original question of why test at all. What would be the intent of verifying that Freedom can handle the load they are trying to generate? The question seems to be less why test Freedom rather than any other server, and more why test any server at that load.
The most straight forward answer to the question of why test Freedom is probably no more strange than the fact that Freedom has the most subscribers and Freedom probably has the most hardware dedicated to it. So if you are going to test the limits of the software architecture, the best place to do so is the place that has the most hardware and the most players to fill it. -
So putting in a Credit Card on File under billing summary doesn't let you buy server transfers unless you buy something else first? (I look there and it lets me change or remove. Can't recall if I've ever use the in-game store after changing the card yet before buying a pack though...)

Limited to masters runs? So, screw over Lambda... and regulate BAF to pure luck, mostly.

Considering the incarnate stuff is the studio's current high-profile gem I think it will be fixed rather soon.

Quote:Paranoia talking here, but you might want to make sure to have some way of locking it to the furniture or something.Oh I picked up one of those "not in my lap" - tops. On the road it's mostly going to sit on a desk in the hotel room waiting for me to come back to the room..
Also, check under the bed (if you dare!) if it's a little dusty, might not be a bad hiding spot. -

If you are worried about that, add some slow enhancements to the power. Between that and the slows and immobilizes dark can put out with fluffy things tend not to move too much in my experience.

Quote:This question's answer is like Soylent Cola. What is the best class to play that doesn't get boring? I've played pretty much everything and a lot of it just seems boring at this point. What's a good class that I can play and not get bored with?
(By bored I mean, the toon gets stale and I get tired of playing it because it's bland.)
It varies from person to person. -

Best discription of a stalker would be "Blaster meant to melee and survive"
The Hero-> Villain "conversion" chart
Tank - > Mastermind by design, and Brute by evolution
Scrapper - > Brute
Defender - > Corruptor
Controller - > Dominator
Blaster - > Stalker, Dominator by evolution -

Quote:Do you have going rogue? if not, pick it up (especially while on sale at steam)Are they high level TFs? I heard about the automatic queuing system for TFs and was punching the air 'yes!' (I have the devil of a time finding TFs generally) until i found out it was only for the Incarnate trials.
I just read the update on the Issue 20 Incarnate ascending thing and it unfortunately offers me nothing, really. Hopefully Issue 21 can give something for the low levels.

First things first - check the full headers on BOTH emails - I had a similar issue once and it turned out to be because one night while board, I noticed a field for "alternate emails" on the NCSoft master account - and put in @googlemail.com in addition to the defualt @gmail - result was double-emails.
So if the different headers have different emails that go to the same place, that's your issue. -
Quote:/bug it in game.Solved it myself. Thought of something just after posting it. So now I'll tell about the stupid thing I did that caused this problem.
I recently got gifted a large some of inf and without thinking or looking at how much I had on the character I was logged in with I just hit claim. Well the amount put me over the cap and I didn't actually claim it, but it did not stay in the email, instead I guess it has been floating in the ether for over a day. To fix the problem I when to Wentworths and put up some sizable bids on some expensive enhancements (low enough that I new I would not get them) until the inf floating in the ether appeared in my total. This cleared the problem.
I still think this is a bug. It should not have allowed me to claim the influence at all and should have given me the error when I tried to claim it, leaving it in the email.
