I find the name choice of "Desdemona" very interesting.

Googling it brings up definitions of: ill-starred, ill-fated, misery, wretched, unlucky

The most notable character is not some greek heroine, but the loyal, devoted wife of Shakespeare's Othello. Desdemona defied her father to marry Othello. Othello eventually murdered Desdemona in a jealous rage fired by Iago's manipulations.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Well, in the middle of the biggest paragraph of her bio - it does mention her jealous BF trying to "Teach her a lesson".

But, he is the one that gets killed.

You had to quote me while the post was bugged, didn't you?

From what I recall, they did try to organize a nude bicycle ride when they released that and Bicycle on a double-sided vinyl.

What kind of Gift basket do you want?

I swear to all that is awesome this is the best thing ever. Its like tied with S*X

    [/ QUOTE ]

Gift Baskets are nice, but I'm fat enough already, thank you. No need to send anything, really!

    [/ QUOTE ]

    So, thats code for ...
    one of these...

    Say no more!

    [/ QUOTE ]

But they can't have wine at work!

www.harryanddavid.com is a better choice - especially if the basket includes moose munch.

I went to check the patch notes and was surprised that particular quirk went unmentioned.

I've always known Brute taunt to only have a single-target debuff myself.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    There is Taunt and taunt.

The former is a specific power - AoE, caps at 5 targets, and includes a -Range effect (caps at min. 25% range).

The later is an effect several powers in the game has.

Tankers have "Gauntlet" aka "Punch-voke" - a built in aoe taunt effect that will hit up to 5 NPCs even on single target powers, more on other AoEs - but taunt only, no -range.

Brutes have a "mini-Gauntlet" aka "Poke-voke" - built in taunt that only hits the normal targets of a power.
  6. Yeah - Trial accounts cannot access those terminals - it's to prevent them from making RMT ADVERT arcs, basically.
  7. [ QUOTE ]
I think I see another difference, please verify: Brutes have Taunt built into all of their attacks and offensive auras.

Excluding the actual power Taunt/Confront, are Scrappers having to chase down mobs more than Brutes mid-combat?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Note, though, Brutes have what some call "poke-voke" - the taunt in their attacks only hits the starts of the attacks, not like Tankers where even tehir single target attacks have an AoE taunt in it.

    Double XP and AE

If Paragon Wiki is right, NO ONE gets patrol XP on a DXP weekend.

    Double XP Weekends

EDIT: I am also in the "I hope not." camp.

    [/ QUOTE ]

You don't - but I don't see how this is relevant to the question of "Does AE get double XP?"

    [/ QUOTE ]

Well, someone had made the point that Patrol XP doesn't get awarded in AE, so then DXP shouldn't either.

I proved that the two were independent.

    [/ QUOTE ]

They may be, but they are similar, in a way.

DXP stops us from using PXP because the developers have decided letting the two mix would be crazy. No double bonus, in other words.

And here we have AE, which the developers don't even want us using PXP in. Drawing a parallel, it not hard to see them denying us DXP on the same reasons they deny us PXP, for the AE system,

Finally dinged 49 with my corr last night! Only took 23 months ::wince::

    [/ QUOTE ]

I had my 2 year badge BEFORE I hit fifty - and those last couple levels went by rather quickly, as my SG refused to team with me except on my scrapper once he hit 45 - well, that and it was easiest that way so I didn't need an SK

Best bet is the 35-39 random recipe roll if you're looking at inf-per-merit.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yeah - the 30-34 range, due to it including any recipe that exists at 30 (the main stop/start of the ranges) is the most populated.
  12. [ QUOTE ]
People have asked numerous times. Bringing back CoP requires three complex systems working together: PvP, bases and base raids. Fixing PvP is the first step.

    [/ QUOTE ]

And really, the reason behind it getting pulled had nothing to do with any of those, but with a nasty exploit built into it. A side effect of the multi-team aspect of it.
  13. From what I recall, Spines/Fire or DA is supposed to be good for AoE.

Regen is often called "Easy Mode"

Katana and Broadsword both have parry (or equiv) which gives you extra Melee/Lethal defense - which does you much good in the game.

I haven't been able to keep up with the forum of late. (and I have lousy search-fu -- I admit it). Hopefully there will be some word on the next few months of rewards soon.

    [/ QUOTE ]

It's already announced, but it has some preqs.

At this rate... expect to earn it in about 95 or so years, ZNERGY, based off your reg date and posting count.

No info until you qualify for it

No, the maintenance days are Monday and Friday. Every other day is a possible maintenance day, but the regular maintenance occurs only on Monday and Fridays.

Patches are more common on some specific day as well, but they do not occur every week. Maybe Wednesday is the usual patch day? Can't remember

    [/ QUOTE ]

Tuesday in the past has been a preferred patch day.

Hey, at least she spawns at the right level, now.

As I recall, in beta maybe, she would spawn too low.

Nor does it line up with City of Data's entry on Fury.

[/ QUOTE ]The power Fury does nothing. Check the actual attacks.

    [ QUOTE ]
Brutes do not have to "hold aggro for a team" in order to have 70%+ Fury.

[/ QUOTE ]You don't need a taunt aura to hold aggro... or even taunt.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    That's bonus Fury, I think.

If you notice, that line :

    * Fury +0.05 If target is a Player, Boss, or better, and Rage < 70% [Ignores Enhancements & Buffs]

would exclude attacks building fury off of minions, lets, etc. But I know I can build fury off of those - I've seen it.

Is it true that she went out with the whole football team when she was a high school cheerleader?

To be fair, she was stuck in a groundhog's day loop on prom night.

She decided to give them all try.

BaBs, how difficult would it be to code something like this 'bug' into the costume editor in case some people want to freeze their toon in place by toggling on/off a button in the editor?

Obviously the lack of cape flowing and missing visual FX for auras would still need to be fixed, but a nice little quality of life feature like mentioned above would be kinda neat to have.

    Just a thought.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Probably not that hard - I know JLove and crew have access to a setup that lets them choose the animation via drop-down menu.

However, it's polite to make sure it's not that big both size and dimension wise (80k, I think it is) for those without broadband.

    Eggs

I have one of those magic bullets - just put some eggs, salsa (salsa should be refrigerated! :P), whatever else you want... and figure out if you can get by with the whipping vs. chopping blade.

Mix it up, and just cook it on the pan.

Yummy, well-blended, and it takes a few minutes!

But you could time a massive post to come in just then

Honestly, I'd expect I16 and Going Rogue info during/just before Comicon. I mean, that is what cons are for, and from a marketing standpoint it just makes sense when you consider the fact that Champions will probably also have a strong show going for their game, and Co* needs to compete.

Otherwise, just be patient. Go run some of those missions the AE kiddies are missing that people are always talking about.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Actually, I don't think CO is expected to have much if any presence this year, since they are in crunch time.
