Phos's Dm'Sd Scrapper has fly/hover, he solos AV...

Ya, I am on Dif 1...So far, that wolf spider was the only one to get hit by block of ice, take damage, get slowed, but not be frozen...I think your right about the resists...Thanks.

Ok, I am using a lock of Ice at a Lieut wolf spider...nothing hapens...I cast it 4 more times...nothig happens....Sure, it slowed it...for a moment...Its a Mag 3...I thought Mag 3's if cast 2 times could hold a boss? And just one use would hold a Lieut...But 4 casts in a row and nothing but barely slowed for a moment???

Well, a friend of mine and I are going to start duoing old school, for reasons I am not going to get into (Cough cough cough AE)...So...
Anyway, he is playing a Mind/Electric Dom. My question is, what would team well with it?
I dont want to reroll my Dm/Sr as he is almost 40. So, what else would duo well with that type of Dom?

I have played this game off and on for a bit over a year now. I have done ITF, Cap the Respec's, Ice Mistrel and Lady Grey's SF. I was told today, that there are quite a few more TF's and SF's red side than this. That each zone except Mercy has a Tf or SF in it....Is this true?
The reason I ask, I am a TF prostitute at heart...I regularly run Cap and ITF and the respecs...But, if there are MORE, Well, I am all up for them...I cant find anything about any other TF or SF red side but the ones I already listed...
Can someone help me with some info on this please?

No, I am not campaigning against AE...Yes, AE is annoying as it neigh impossible to get a team for old school mish's, including badges and accolades. Thats the realy annoying part. To me atleast.
And no, I am a blonde and proud to be one. I dont know numbers, they give me headaches. I do farm. But from what I have read and from what I understand, AE was supposed to be different from the rest of the game...Yes, it is different in the fact that you get no drops...And that you can continously farm them without having to worry abotu completing them....Thats all fine and dandy...I guess...
I dont know, it just realy annoies me that you cant find normal teams anymore outside of AE. And when you meet the n00b 50's who only know AE and nothing else about the game, but they are running ITF's, raids and other good thing, but end up making comeplete team wipes because they dont know their toons, Now, that realy gets my panties in a bunch. For the past few weeks, I have made it a habbit to check for vet badges before I do anything with a team...Anything under 3 months and I quit the team...No point when my main already has the damage and debt badges...
Well, I guess my idea of having fun and playing the game are alot different than most other peoples...

The simplest and easiest way that the Dev's could put a stop the farming AE (And I am wholeheartedly for this idea) is to put a complete stop to gaining xp for individual mobs, and drops ticket output as well, But only to this point; Finishing the AE mish/Arc will give a set amount # of tickets plus a set amount # of xp for how difficult the mish/arc is.
personaly, this makes sense to do. it would definately put a stop to farming AE, which I am ALL for!

Well guys...Alt-itis has struck me yet again.
With all the AE going on, its getting hard to find old school teams. So, I am looking for something special...
it doesnt matter which side, Red or Blue, this would come from. But, I am looking to make something (yes, I posted this before, but I cant seem to find it anymore) the can stun everything under an AV/Eb. Whether its melee or ranged, it doesnt matter. AoE stuns would be preferable, but ST is fine.
I would prefer it to be Red Side, but like I said, it doesnt matter.
I seem to remember someone saying something about Stone Melee/Energy Aura, that would be a nice combo, aside form the end drain...Any other ideas?

Nah, Rad/Kin is realy fun, especialy pre 40...the secondary effects of rad is almost needed (Whether people are aware of what you are doing or not) in teams. Def debuffs are killer in teams...I dont use any ST attacks, just my aoe's with my kin powers that way I can debbuff everthing at once and keep the team speeding on. Personaly, nothing beats lobbing giant yellow balls at mobs MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

Ok guys, some of you digressed as I figured, thats ok, thas what forums are about. I only asked about SoA's, not specific anything.

I asked if they can solo Av's. If they can solo them, it would be nice to hear about peoples triumph's in doing so. Sure, pics/vids would be nice, but at this point in time, I realy DONT CARE if its word of mouth. As word of mouth is how ideas get started. So, when one person says that they can, someone else may try to trump that other person by saying hey, I did too, heres a pic if you dont believe me...Then another person wants to trump as well with vids or what not.

I am not asking for a build, I am not asking for pics. I am not asking for video's....

I just want to know if SoA's (NW/Fort's/Banes/Crab's/Huntsman) can pull it off.

Obviously, I would like to make a SoA into an AV killer just like I posted here as well, BUT, I am currently working on an AV killer Brute, so anything new would be put on a back burner. My Dm/Sr is my new baby, and he's gonna be that way until I kill atleast 9 AV's solo...thats my goal, nothing awfully too special. I dont want to kill every AV, just 9...

But, Thank you guys for all your interest in this post of mine. Its realy encouraging to see people take such an interest, whether for good or ill, in such a thing.

Now, back to the subject at hand....So, Has anyone soloed ANY AV's with a SoA (NW,Bane,Fort, Crab,Huntsman)?
I have actualy been told that out of most of the SoA's, Huntsman have a great chance at it because of the double WaWN (Patron and primary) plus the def debuff from the bane tree...Personaly, I would LOVE to see a vid of someone atleast attempting it with a tweeked out Huntsman or what ever...Whether you actualy can do it or not...

I know my bane soloed Nem and I think it was Hro'dtohz as AV's...I did die a few times and used all my pills each time, but I did do it...that was before I realized what I had done. Banes may be slow, but when yoru spamming survalence, placate and shatter does help ALOT...
But come to think of it, I think they may have been EB's...

My rad/kin is now my 3rd 50, and she is only used in TF's, when I don feel like using my Brute or Bane/Crab.
Yes, I know the damage isnt that great. But to me, it is fun to play, I mean, how many other sets actualy Lob attacks at foes?
When I first started playing CoX a year ago, I played a hero and became facinated with the Vahlziloc in the sewers. So much so that my first toon to get over 30 was a rad/rad def. and in that lin, I ended up playing red side and made my rad/kin, but didnt play her for quite soem time. Then I started getting into team that wanted a kin more than anything else, so I took her off the neuclear back burner, to neuclear charge the teams I was on, and finaly, after playing her off and on over the past 6 months, I got her to 50. I havent actualy lvled her to 50, she is stuck at 41 while I attempt to get the parton arcs done, then I will lvl her up.
All you guys/gals help is greatly appreciated. Thank you again.

Nah, I dont want top tier...I want something fun. Expense is starting to not be an issue anymore. I know there has to be atleast 1 SoA who has soloed Av's, I remember the post before the great purge...

This in turn just MIGHT spur some more people to want to play these exclusive BAD [censored] toons....I realy miss having them in teams, the buffs are excellent.

I know my Bane is wicked, but not nearly good enough to take on a Hero or AV.

My Bane came close to soloing Statesman Hero once, but once he kicks his stupid buff in, all he does is kick that damn lightning attack and I run out of endurance...D.E.D. dead.

What I am actualy trying to do, i fyou havent guessed it already, if figure out what I am going to use for my first REAL toon, my first AV killer. I already have a farmer, I already have a toon specificaly made for TF's. Now, its high time to make my first real ST damaging toon, an AV killer.

I havent been on this board for a while, and when I did come into it today, I coudnt find ANYTHING! What, did they wipe this board? I was looking for something in particular that I just remembered seeing once a couple of months back....Now, its gone, even my posts are gone....ugh...

Heya Chaos, was nice meeting you in game and seeing you in action. After talking to you in game, I think I will just stick with my Dm/Sr for see how that turns out...Worse comes to worse, I can alwasy respec all my IO's out (once I start slotting them) and roll /Ea or/SD.

Wow....Now your all getting the dumb blonde (Me) confused even more..All this talk about numbers and stuff...Confuses the hell out of me. Numbers are my weakest weakness, you shold see how empty my bak is all the time.
In all my conversation with everyone I have spoken to aboiut this, noone has even mentioned /EA until now....hrmm....Dark AND Pretty huh? I am going to have to give /EA a whirl. for a couple of days and see what becomes of it...



As to how much money....Well, as much as I can possibly earn...I have roughly 100m in sets on my bane/crab for def/res and the mellee. My Kin is fast approaching numina unique merit level, my SS/Invuln....Well, he is another story, but has currently 79m on him plus what is being sold...All in all, I can probably arrange about 100m inf every 3 days roughly to put away for this proposed monstrousity...


Now, back to /EA
Hrmm....Now, I am realy wondering about that. I think that is like....the ONLY secondary in the game for melee I havent used at all....not sure why either. Ok going to make one and take him to 25ish and compair to /sd and /sr and see what I like best, then bring my results back to the boards for more quesitons.

O, BTW, I can put together a build in Mids, but when I start attampting to use IO's (Cant find them) I start getting lost. When its time to figure out numbers, even from someoe elses build....Well, I have to take aspirine and go do something else hehe.

Well Solo means just that...you dont have people around to tick off so you can play at your own pace...a team is just that, a TEAM. Just like when I was in the Army, they pretty much beat it into our heads (and our muscles) that there is no "I" in team. you stick with the team, you follow the leader and you do what your told.

I too would kick someone from a team if they pulled solo crap on me, and I would urge the leader to do the same if I wasnt the team leader.

Yes, this IS a game, and games are meant to have fun in, but reclessly endangering your "TEAM" makes the rest of the team usualy annoied. Which means that they arent having fun.

Sure, some of you can solo ITF, if thats your bag of tea, then you have no need for a team. Go get a bunch of fillers for your ITF or what ever and boot them when yoru ready, dont endanger everyone else and make it UNFUN for the rest of the people.

I have been in IM with someone about making an AV killer. Thats pretty much all he will be doing, Oh, and I may throw him into zone pvp as well. So, this means ST damage. In my last post I figured out that I wanted Dm as a primary for it.

Now, between the Im's with Powerforge and some in game questions ot other players (Of course they have vet badges, I wouldnt ask anyone who didnt anymore as the answer to everything since AE Came out is MM's...ugh) I have definately narrowed the secondaries down to /Sd and /Sr.

So, knowing that in order to become an AV killer, its definately going to cost me some bucks in game, and a few lucky drops by my farming Brute and my TFing Kin with alot of tickets and merits to twink my AV killer out. (<<<Yes I am an original EQLive player from back in the day and some of the terms just will never leave my thoughts. Andwas extatic to being one of the first people on my server to solo Vox with my iksar monk MUHAHAHAHAH KUNARK FOEVER) Anyway, I stray...

Ok, so knowing that its going to be costly to do what I am planning, which would be the most survivable during both AV combat solo and PvP?

Both Sr and Sd have some extremely strong points which makes me not be able to decide. So far, on my 2 different test toons, I have brought them both up to 25th lvl. At that point with Stam and SO's its pretty much a tie, aside form Sd being much heavier on End usage.

As far as I can tell, neither Sd nor Sr have a downside...As far as I can tell...

Buildwise, I definately am NO good at making them, so I inquire in game and on the boards to find the best answers and compair everything I see and learn to make the best judgement for what it is I am looking to do, fixing and tweaking here and there and of course making mistakes all along the way.

So, enough of my prattle...Which do you guys think would have the easier time of AV killing as a Brute?

Thank you for your time in doing this, and SO's is exactly what I needed, I have a few IO's to use, but not much and I am not putting anymore money into it as everything I get on this and my main Brute with the farms and TF's is all going to my new toon.
