It's not as if he made some claim that he did it soloing +2/+8 the whole way. He could have very easily gone +0 or even -1 and easily gotten to 50 with no deaths... it would've taken him forever but whatever lol.

^ This. The thing you (OP) still don't seem to understand is that aside from the issues that have already been addressed a +18 server simply wouldn't solve your problem. You could still very easily offend someone over 18 and they would have every right to report you and the GMs would have every right to shut the name down if they chose to. You say it's not that bad but that is all a matter of opinion as is it's comedic value.

Also, don't come into these forums and claim that people of these forums are singning south park songs. As with most MMOs the people who frequent the forum likely represent a small percentage of the people actually playing. If you can name a specific example take it up with that person but don't call me a hypocrit for something someone else did that MIGHT be on these forums.

Like it or not most of the people here are going to back a GMs decision because they are paid to use their judgment and we have no choice but to trust that so you're whining to the wrong people.

I typically solo +2/+3 with no problem and with teams go +3 also usually with no problem. I've also done a few AV fights and done ok I just didn't know if I was missing something indicating that it is absolutely necessary. Also the AV fights I've done were without the set bonuses that I have now and that I'm working towards so I'm sure I'll be fine. Thanks all!

True lol I even when I play a blaster I don't do that... I just offer that as a suggestion to blasters who are bad at controlling their own aggro.

However for any energy blasters... if you're reading this... please for the love of god do not target me or any mobs I'm working on kthx!

Agreed. I've been told that I'm a good tank because of this... oddly enough I owe it to a scrapper. I've teamed with the same scrapper quite a few times and that crazy SoB ran full bore into everything (ninja run ftw) so I kept trying to keep up with him 'til I started leaving the group of mostly dead mobs a few seconds before him lol.

The other thing that I would add to this is that you WILL have people that will pull aggro off of you... let them. If you have a large group of mobs surrounding you and a blaster decides to attack a target outside your taunt aura instead targeting you so they automatically attack your target it's on them. If you leave the group that's surrounding you to try to get that one mob they're going to lose interest and start attacking other people in your group. Yes, that's where taunt comes in handy but honestly in a situation like that I don't bother. It's your job to hold aggro but aggro management is everyone's job.

You know that you can make Rage perma with recharge enhancements right?

I have it 6 slotted with 3 recharges and 3 To hit buff enhancements and my accuracy while not perfect is not bad and that's fighting at +2 or higher. 10 seconds out of every two minutes I can't do as much damage but it's well worth the payoff.

Since we don't know what the name was nobody can judge whether or not it's immature. I was just pointing out that he knew it would be considered bad based on the wording of the original post and choosing to use it regardless of the potential consequence he was aware of is an act of immaturity.

While I don't find such things offensive and do enjoy Family Guy and find d*** and fart jokes funny I can still admit that they're immature. But, this is about respecting other people... specifically the parents of the younger person that don't want their child to see the names that mods determine to ban.

However the banning of the name is not what's being questioned. So, to answer the OP... I find it an interesting idea, but far from necessary. You can enjoy the game without names that the mods consider inappropriate.

You still don't know the age of the person who reported the name... it could've been someone your own age or older. Without knowing what the name was it's hard to say but I'd best most 10 year olds would either not know what it meant or find it funny... as you did... isn't that interesting?

I'll say it's interesting... but there's a specific reason I didn't do it in DII and sure as hell will not do it here lol... granted lvling is insanely easy but the time getting to 50 is still nothing to laugh at.

Good luck getting any blasters or other squishy types to last past lvl 10 if that far.

If you really plan on making it an homage to Superman what other option could you even consider?

As far as WP or INV, I think either would work fine... purests may tell you that you HAVE to pick INV for your purposes but my only high lvl tank is WP/SS and I feel pretty unstopable most of the time

Being a huge Arnold fan the fact that I can't make a toon with hair that long is exactly why I've not made a broadsword toon.

I personally do not take offense to much but the phrase "wasn't even that bad" suggests that you knew it might get genericized so don't complain about it.

If that's the impression I've given then I've not expressed myself clearly enough or your comprehension skills are less than stellar. If it's the first then I apologize. I'd like for them to go away... I've just accepted the fact that it's very unlikely to happen, why is that so hard to understand? My acceptance of their existence doesn't mean I think it's ok it means I just don't see the pointing in fighting it anymore.

I've said nothing to the effect that it's ok that they exist just that I've accepted that they do so if you could refrain from putting words in my mouth that'd be appreciated. Never have I said "I'd love to see RMT be legal" or "I wish NCSoft would incorporate RMT". I've also given no excuses for why it's ok they exist so again... don't put words in my mouth.

This all started because I said IF NCSoft did incorporate it then the 3rd party RMT would likely go away... I didn't say I wanted it to or that I thought NCSoft should, I simply stated a cause and effect scenario as indicated by the words "if" and "then". Again, what's so hard to understand about that?

As previously stated I understand the frustration people have concerning RMT. The fact that I don't get worked up about it and can express an objective point of view or a "what if" scenario does NOT mean I'm lobbying for it to be a normal part of the game. If that's what you're interpreting any of my posts as then you need to work on your comprehension and logic.

Since it seems impossible to have a conversation about this without people jumping to conclusions I'm done, I draw the line at having people put words in my mouth. Re-read my posts and if you still think I'm supporting RMT then you just don't understand where I'm coming from and we will have to agree to disagree, but let me make this abundantly clear... I'm not supporting RMT.

If you're not willing to try any of the suggestions here then you've conceded that you're essentially done with the game. So why are you still on the forums? I'm not intending that to be sarcastic, I'm genuinely curious... if you're not willing to go through the steps offered as possible solutions and you don't like it as is... then you obviously don't want to pursue it... so are you just here out of boredom? Or are you hoping someone gives you the push over the edge that makes you realize how good the game really is? There are plenty of people playing it to support that, if you choose not to see it then that's on you.
