I wouldn't concern myself with what other builds people are using, if you enjoy it, keep playing it. I have a rad/dev blaster and a lot of people would say that's not a great combo.. but it's fun so I keep playing it.

Couldn't agree more. However, when you say swapped to ground punch... can you do that?! If so I had no idea!

I have to agree with this... I've done missions before that I've cleared except one enemy or one glowie and spent more time looking for them than the rest of the mission.

Having played WoW for several years I can say that gear discrimination is MUCH more common there... I've not hit 50 so I can't speak from experience but from everyone I've talked to in game or on these forums it's not even an issue... your friend needs to get the WoW out of her head lol.

On the other hand she may just want to get the best enhancements to build the most powerful toon possible and there's no harm there but she definitely needs to understand it's not necessary here.

First let me say that I found this entire post hilarious.

This particular one got me to thinking of all the random music I've listened to while playing this game... mostly metal however, one day I youtubed "I need a hero" by Bonnie Tyler.

Do this and one of a few things will happen.

1. You will not stop laughing, primarily due to the cheesy 80's electronic drums sounds.

2. You will actually get into it, just don't tell anyone... and don't let your girlfriend see you. You'd think she caught me watching porn...

3. You will be inspired to make a gameplay video using it as your background music.

This will probably be me... I'm a bit of a nut about making my toons as awesome as they can be lol.

I suppose covering the cost makes sense, it would be cool though if we could have a free one every so often though, even one a month would be cool IMO. I can't imagine that being an issue if the servers can handle 6 a week. I know not everyone's using the freebies but I've used most of mine with no problems.

But definitely enjoying the ride thus far... my altoholism is causing me to take the scenic route at every opportunity though lol.

And to Darth, I've tried some of the AE missions and even just playing them is fun... going through one where all the baddies were named "Tech Support" was awesome lol...

lol yep that's me and Radu is my blaster of course (still need to get him an invite to the SG actually) I'd love to run a TF tonight but band practice bleh! Recording starts this weekend so won't be on much then but as I've said before (and haven't shown yet sadly) I'm usually on most nights lol.

Now that I'm thinking about it though it depends what time the TF starts practice nights I'm usually home by 9:30ish so I may be on after that.

This is another good point and is why I haven't started having my toons spread around until recently... the toons I moved I rarely play my "main" toons will likely always been on Virtue.

One thing I am curious about that isn't related to the thread is why there's a $10 charge to transfer normally. Having transferred as many as I have recently it's obvious that it doesn't take much effort for it to take place, every transfer I've made so far (about 10) has been instantaneous.

With all my Virtue slots full and free transfers available I actually made that happen over the last couple weeks spreading some over Freedom and Justice... I know those three typically "fight" over the highest population and may have issues during the event I'm hoping having some on each will at least present me with options. I tried playing on Victory once and it truly felt dead to me.

I actually read that thread before starting this one... I started the new thread because as you pointed out that one is 6 months old and it became a thread more about the awesomeness of macskull's avatar and never addresses my specific question.

True, I didn't consider the idea of using it to make more inf... now I'm pondering rushing a toon to 50 before the next one to do just that lol... on the other hand I'm usually a leveling fiend so who knows...

Judging by your response you probably didn't really read my original post but skimmed through it kind of assuming you knew what it said, which is understandable.

My highest lvl toons being in the mid 30s I actually just experienced my first TF last night so when it comes down to what is at the lvl cap I'm not looking for "more than activity X" I'm just curious as to what people do as I've never experienced most of it.

While I understand your frustration and borderline cynicism with my question, it's not necessary, weren't you new once?
