need help choosing powersets

hiyas, iv been playing CoH for the last like 3 years and i havent really leveled a blaster... iv more then a Scrap/Tank/Contr person.. i decided to make a blaster, just the thing is i dunno what to make for a powerset wise. I love to solo/team, tf, etc, anything is good, i like to team good when im teamed and good when soloing pretty much. I dont PVP, only PVE. I like to farm, but i dunno if blasters can do that, havent seen one do it.. i like the looks of most of the sets for the primary, and prob go with /energy or /devices for secondary maybe. I know what blasters jobs are, if i go Energy/Energy, i know KBs suck and when i do team, careful what i do, aim at walls..etc.. anyways any suggestions be nice.. ty in advance.

Go with FIRE cause nothing is more fun than stopping bad guys by setting their hair on fire. It also has a good single target attacks and aoes to lay down while solo or grouped.

I will have to second fire/fire...

IMO it truly is what a blaster should be... you're EXTREMELY squishy, your only mitigation is killing the baddies before they get to you, but the amount of damage you'll be able to do will make you an asset to any team as long as you let the tank (or whoever is acting as tank) get sufficient aggro before you unleash hell...

Nothing more satisfying than running into a group of 10 baddies after the tank hitting inferno and have almost every one of those same baddies drop.

Personally I would make my first blaster one of the more survivable ones, getting killed a lot while you are still learning can be frustrating.

So I think Ice is good for that, and so is /Mental.

I don't know how well Ice/Mental goes together though.

Well the fire/mental will be better aoe/mitigation, much better on teams.

The fire/energy is more of a soloer.

And as far as mitigation though for re-iterating to blasters, fire is good if you pair it with either devices or ice manipulation. Still gobs of damage and good mitigational powers.
