  1. pimping like a boss

will this be pylon-solo capable? wondering how that 2% gap in S/L defense impacts things (if at all)
  2. I like it overall, but my only note would be ... I wouldn't slot Posi Blast's into the nuke. Not enough recharge for my tastes. Thunderous Blast is a really fun Nuke, given its range, and I'd personally want it up more often. But that could be a matter of personal preference.
  3. Where are all the purples, Chaos? Stop burning them in the incinerator!

    Ok, seriously ...

    - I like a little more HP in my builds, personally. I like me a little bit of Devastation (good call by Shinobi on swapping one of your Decimations out). If you have the cash - and we know you do - why not slot an Apocalypse in somewhere? +3% HP and 10% recharge!

    - I personally am not a Subdue fan, but to each their own, probably matter of taste. I'd swap in TK Blast, add an Explosive Blast proc, take out Subdue and enjoy it mightily, but like I said possibly matter of taste.

    - I like where your heads at on the procs in Sleet, but I'm not sure there's enough recharge in there for my personal tastes. I enjoy ED-capped recharge in my best power, man. But that could be a matter of taste.

    - I'd slot an LOTG +Rech into Vengeance and then replace the LOTG sets in another power with an alternative with different set bonuses (Shield Wall for the 2.25% HP bonus - come on man, you know you want to do it, spend a ridiculous amount of influence just because you can).

    - Add another PShift enhancement into Heat Loss for the 1.88% HP bonus. Could take it out of Frostworks, IMO.

    - Small change, but you could swap the single Analyze Weakness IO out of Infridge for a Synthetic Lysosome for better enhancement of Acc, Debuff. Shinobi's right, you don't really need the TOLG there (but I do like that 1.5% HP buff they give for only 2 slots).

Looks like you'd have fun with it either way. I love me some Cold/ or /Cold.
  4. Some of my fellow Americans would roll on Zukunft and go "lol wut spk englesh nub wut u say?"

This made my morning. Oh man, I want to this, like, right nao!!!

But seriously, I would roll a toon on Union or Defiant to visit our European friends!

Think about what you just wrote for a second. In your case, a minute or two. Oh, okay, an hour.

And then come back to us with your theory on how to corner the market for PvP IOs that cost $2 billion.

    Seriously, still waiting

So what have we learned today, children?

Still waiting for you to explain how its possible to corner a market and make money on something that only sells for 2 billion.

When you can cogently explain that to me with an answer that is based on facts (not supposition), I'll say you've learned something.

In the meantime, lol@u for wasting time farming.
  8. You never did explain how to corner the market in PvP IOs

    still waiting

Interestingly enough, I think we're approaching a convergence toward 2 billion. The WTS posts on the Market forums over the last 30 days are intriguing on this. Multiple posts cite a "Buy it Nao" rate of 2.5 billion, with at least 3 auctions starting at 2.1 billion. I think selling off the market is always going to be the preferred choice - to avoid the 200 mill fee - but we're coming down.
  11. The Market Forum is definitely much like the last 5 minutes of GI Joe episode from the mid eighties

Of course, you can bid for more than one at once, so this number is a little low.

That covers the how do I buy them all up phase. Need any help on the selling?
Actually, yeah. Perhaps you could enlighten us on the selling side?

To the snarky post about my build. I already know it's flaws, and thanks. I play my toons my way, build them for my reasons, and if you are nice I will say why. You ain't nice. GL, and cyas in the cities.

P.S., today I will be composing my letter to the management and development staff of the game. Any input (even negative) is appreciated.
    lol

its still a terrible build, no matter how many pretty shinies you put in it

and that wasn't snarky it was the truth

    Nah

You need to look for his Dm/Invuln thread, that's the crappy build he's trying to improve on
  18. Its cheap, abundant and adds +Def to S/L

I use it a lot, usually to four slots for the S/L, E

Would be interested in hearing your explanation for how its possible to corner the market on the PvP +3% Def IO. I don't think its possible, but I welcome your insight.
  20. I'd love to see a more punchy secondary.

That said, /Earth and /Elec may fill your needs. Charged Brawl, Havoc Punch and Thunderstrike are very punchy and could double as something Jedi-ish. /Earth is as smashy as it gets

Yes, Fury's builds are good ones to reference then. Sorry!

(Edit: Maybe I'm just misremembering being concerned about DDR on the top end build. DDR isn't capped. Well, the good news is that with I19, it'll be easy to pick up Grant Cover. I'm not sure it will be capped at that point, but if not, it'll be a lot closer. And Grant Cover can mule the Gladiator's Armor, freeing up a slot.)
You guys are hardcore, man. That's a nice tip on muling a Gladiator's Armor (not that I can afford one mind you!)

With the advent of the imminent Blessing of the Zephyr Changes in issue 17, interest in building (or more likely respec'ing) an electric/shield and fire/shield scrapper seems to be high. I thought I would save the forum regulars a little trouble and post eight scrapper builds ranging from relatively inexpensive to extremely expensive.

Other than the BOTZ nerf which Fury referenced on page 1, has there been something else I've missed that we should be considering? (Serious question, not trolling)

what i am saying is this. Shouldnt people that play the game get the most rewards for time in game? Seriously. I am not kidding, I actually believe this. I am not trolling.

it is my belief that running a toon in the game should earn you better stuff than someone standing around the market. Especially if you do it consistently for years. I understand that is not how it works. I am not trolling. I am saying I cannot believe game designers made it so that the market is better than the game. It seems like the dumbest marketing ploy in the world.

Hey! Come play our game. you can stand around a market and really make a ton of imaginary cash. It will be so much cooler than going on missions and running a character. We know your time is limited, so just stand right there and flip recipes. Don't let a second go to waste off adventuring.
The problem I have with what you've been posting, Blue, is this:

    (1) You already have a very, very expensive toon - I looked at the build you proposed in the Brute forums and it was OMGWTFBBQ expensive. Four purple sets! I have three toons that are that purpled out - and I've been playing for six years. Very few players have builds like that. Your toon is already in the top .01% in terms of enhancement investment. (Slaps Blue on the back, good job!)

    (2) There are very, very few enhancements in the game that are out of reach of the common player - three PvP IOs (+Res, +Def and Panacea). Those are very, very expensive because they are very, VERY rare. But they're only three IOs, dude!

    (3) I understand that you're peeved about not being able to easily get access to those - that's by design - the devs want at least something that's rare - they need a time sink to keep you occupied. So your real issue isn't with the market - its with game design around resource scarcity - I'm not personally going to get into it other than to say its nothing new in the MMO world.

    (4) You're venting in the wrong section, to the wrong audience, bud.
