can you solo AVs with dark/sonic def?

normally you should have all the tools to manage this...has anyone tried yet?

i really like the -def, especially in the low lvls pre SOs

Does power boost affect the hold in rads nuke (atomic blast)?

Well, i saw that its possible to solo with a RAD/SONIC Defender everything (GMs, EBs, AVs). Is this also possible with a sonic/rad corruptor?

What powers do you need, what can you skip? Any suggestions or experiences?

sounds like it will be necessary to take taunt/provoke to keep the aggro away from the pets...

A few question:

1. is this combination viable and fun to play?
2. what powers can you skip (Poison trap and?...)
3. is it possible to solo most AVs?
3.1. what power pools do you need, to be able to solo the AVs?

any suggestions?

their are some def combination which makes solo play very easy and some others make you cry because of the low damage on low speed (savety but slow).

stalkers are still better solo chars, then team players...

Simple question: Which defender would be the best (or would be generally able) to solo AVs=?

my choices would be:

cold/ice
cold/sonic
rad/ice
rad/sonic
storm/ice
storm/sonic

Any suggestions?

Got a Sonic/Ice defender (Cold Voice)
and a Storm/Sonic defender (Sound Storm)...(only lvl 36 atm)
I must say, i never thought that a defender could deal such good damage as my storm/sonic does. I tear trough mishes like my brute. Bosses are no problem (except sometimes rikti chief mezmerists). Very happy with this toon and i cant wait to get him to 50 asap.

Ive tried voltaic sentinel yesterday, the damage seems to be ok. But as i already thought, resummon it every minute is very annoying. The duration should be 3min, otherwise its very importunate (and end heavy).

ive just reached lvl 38 with my Mind/elec dom...but everyone says to me that voltaic sentinel is not worth taking. Mainly because of the short duration of 1min. But the damage doesnt seem to be too bad at all.

So what should i do now? take it if i got nothing better or avoid it at all circumstances?

will it be possible to solo AVs?

i know AR is not the best set, but iam tired of fire and ice corruptors...and i already got a a sonic blaster..(and dislike the other sets).

dont think they will change something ...i really love the warmace set but in the higher lvls it really starts to become frustrating...

1. warmace damage simply sux in comparison to superstrength, stone and EM (the big3)

2. fire as secondary is ok, good for offence, bad for damage migation...missing knockback and immob protection is also a guarantee for a quick debt badge
a selfres as a tier 9 power is not so fantastic, too
burn with the fear effect makes the power without an AOE immob pretty worthless...
the gems of fiery aura are fiery embrace + blazing aura...

you wont have any PvE problems, but if you team with other brutes you might become a bit frustrated cause of their damage output and survivability

the damage is pretty frustrating, after 30lvls of play I retired my WM/SR brute... shame on me...but its only pain to go on..

was really funny yesterday, hope to do this more often

variety makes the game...(boring enough if you enter a pvp zone and everyone got the pink pom poms of doom)
axe and warmace are such cool powersets, to bad they gain such a bad reputation and no love from the devs at all....
