I did say one other thing - that dropped Enhancements are useful only for what you can sell them for - because everyone purchases their Enhancements at the store (or at least most of them).
[/ QUOTE ]
Not true, I often slot enhancement I have gotten from a drop. I would rather run lots of missions and spend time playing the game than shopping and making sure my enh are always green.
[/ QUOTE ]
Ditto. Also, aside from normal missions, doing TFs is a goldmine for drops that I can use. Between what I get and what I can trade with my teammates, sometimes I don't need to shop at the store for quite awhile.
The only issue I have with dropped enhancments is that you recieve way too many training enhancments at high levels. Those typically wind up as "influence only" enhancements since I usually can't use them, and nobody wants them.

Mission Customization Many existing missions have been updated with hostage escort missions, villain wave attacks and more!

Get.Out.
[/ QUOTE ]
Hmm, that might be one of the things you can say to the hostage as you escort them.
Those are really big heads that the giant is carrying... I wonder what they lopped them from.
[/ QUOTE ]
Heh, I just hope the hostage A.I. is smart enough to "follow" well (if the missions are designed that way). Nothing more annoying than a hostage than won't move or won't get out of the way of obstacles. -

Reading Pos's quote, sounds like a bug to me EvilGeko. You should be getting more than one option. The "forced team" mission shouldn't be the only option there.
One problem I see constantly is: [Pos's Quote]
[ QUOTE ]
These missions are clearly marked with the number of players required to complete them.
[/ QUOTE ]
MANY missions are not clearly marked with the number of players required. I recently got one that said "bring friends"...um, ok. How many!? Mind you, I already had a team together so I took the mission, lo and behold I was one person short for the simulataneous bomb mission. They really need a copy editor who's sole purpose is to sweep through all in-game text and correct errors. -
Cool, thanks for the info.

Question 7: Missions sort of like in Spider-man 2 where you rescue people off of buildings? - Yes in that there will be more dynamic missions, maybe not exactly as described but at least more diverse.

Hopefully this will be in Issue 6. *crosses-fingers* -

Rent is not heroic.
[/ QUOTE ] Agreed...signed.
[/ QUOTE ]
The only HUGE question I have with rent is, what happens if we can't pay one month?(assuming we even pay per month, they haven't shed any light on that either)
Do we lose our base? Does stuff that cost influence start dissappearing from our base (like repo man visits)? What? Way too much grey area on this. -
May I please refer everyone to the words of " bruce " chapter 4 verse 7...*ahem*

Wonderful. Except that I *finally* received #11 and #12 about a day apart last week, and *still* haven't seen the new comic.
You guys need to change your distributor, he's clearly not up to snuff.
[/ QUOTE ]
The same thing happend to me. The new comic has a new distributor (Diamond, workin' with the big boys now) . Hopefully, that will fix the situation...hopefully.

Zeus' Lightning?
How'd States get a hold of that? Cole ventured "to the far east" and "unlocked his inner will" IIRC.
Which is it Manticore?
[/ QUOTE ]
If you are quoting the website the paragraph actually reads:
Cole claimed to have unlocked the power of his own Inner Will, an obscure explanation at best. Whatever their true origin, it was undeniable that Cole possessed something that hadn't been seen since the age of the Greek Heroes: superpowers.
Note the word *claimed*
Statesman was clearly obfuscating there. As time has passed and he has shown no signs of aging, more questions are being asked. Issue 2 of the comic will give more details about Statesman and Issue 3 will bring the loathesome Lord Recluse's connection into sharp focus.
[/ QUOTE ]
Lets face it. Statesman is a Greek god. Jack Emmert is a hugh classics fan (speaks Greek to boot) and Statesman is very "god like". So, if Statesman is a Greek God or Titan, what does that make Recluse?
[/ QUOTE ]
Heh. A Greek God or Titan as well? I mean the Gods didn't exactly get along very well most of the time. -
[ QUOTE ]
Nope. Positron's a Rad/Rad Defender. He *used* to be an Energy/Energy Blaster, but changed for unknown reasons..
[/ QUOTE ]
Oh. Wait he respec'ed and changed his powersets! No fair! Or maybe he just re-rolled a new character. -
[ QUOTE ]
Why? He was living up to what the devs apparently believe a Blaster's role is...
<ul type="square">
1. Do Ranged Damage (Pay no attention to the melee attacks all over the secondaries or that Range = Defense is a joke.)
2. Die[/list]Not necessarily in that order. Synapse got faceplanted, then did the ranged damage. Albeit as the projectile.
[/ QUOTE ]
Wait, isn't Positron a blaster?? Seems like he was holding his own pretty well for a bit...until he had Synapse's body thrown at him of course. -
Whoa! What powers does the evil goth undead chick have!? I likey, I likey a lot.

To quote Statesman's explanation in that Training Room forum post:
[ QUOTE ]
o Added 50% ToHit debuff to Super Speed and Super Leap. PvP/PvE
There was an inherent unfairness with the travel powers; only Flight had a -50% ToHit debuff. Yet Super Speed and Super Leap could create situations similar to hover snipe (i.e. flying above a mob and firing away) where they could fight at little to no risk.
Example: click on Super Speed, run up to mob, attack, run away. Rinse and repeat.
Super Leap already has a toggle that was always intended for battle situations (Combat Leaping) and Super Speed has Hasten (which gives not only a defensive buff, but also an incredibly powerful recharge).

Oh and Happy Birthday Queen Voodoo!
[/ QUOTE ]
Thank you, thank you. -
Having SS or SJ is by no means "a must" in combat, only for specific tactics that you've outlined.
I use SS only to get out of Caltrops faster, and SS only to hit flying mobs (usually and ambush or kill x mission) that I couldn't otherwise reach....that's it. No other use for either power (other than travel) in any of my other tactics, they are by no means a must for any of my Scrappers or Tankers.
I am not pleased with the nerf on the basis that it doesn't really "balance" anything. Ok, -ACC, um how does this make DA scrappers any better? how does this help Storm defenders. I think there are many other areas where balance was needed, this isn't one of them. I am also disturbed that "balance" issues potentially found via PvP and Arena testing might be influencing PvE...there's no proof to this, as someone point out, but I am a little leery of the fact that all this just happened to become an issue at the same time PvP is introduced. It just gives me a bit of pause, hopefully I'm wrong, an there is nothing to that notion. -
[ QUOTE ]
Yeah, but I've seen GW mentioned a lot lately, and I can't figure out what people find so great about it. That is, besides no monthly fees.
[/ QUOTE ]
Actually, the no monthly fees thing caught my eye, lol. But I was also interested in it because it looked like a fantasy MMO that possibly wouldn't be horribly boring and little fun. However, I think CoH along with MxO are better MMOs for me right now. -

THE IDEA STILL STINKS...

[/ QUOTE ]
We're applauding them making it so that it doesn't affect missions (even train/portal missions with the very large outdoors maps).
[/ QUOTE ]
Exactly. I've already spoken about the whole idea in the last 100+ post thread. I think this is a waste of Dev resources and their time would be better served creating new content, then working on curbing the powerleveling problem.
There are businesses where ALL THEY DO is create high level characters as fast as they can for all MMOs out there in order to sell them, or sell the items, or sell fake in-game money in exchange for real life money. This method will not stop powerleveling, as people have said at least 100+ times already.
Having said that, it does my heart good to see that this Dev team actually does proper datamining and actually listens *gasp* to they're player base. Try to get Sony Online to listen to you and let me know how that goes. Cryptic could have easily blown us off an gone through with the change as-is. You have to give them some credit.
[edit: To clarify, all powerlevelers dont PL in order to sell stuff via ebay, however this does happen...a lot, and not just with this game.] -
[ QUOTE ]
If players are on a mission map, they always receive their full shares. Theres no distance limitation. Teams can split up in maps players can be separated by elevators everyone receives their XP.
This system does not affect Mission rewards.

YAY! Still not a perfect solution, but a hell of a lot better than the previous incarnation.
Thank you for listening to us Dev Team and States. -

Brekkee - *Placater* What type of incentives will there be for arena battles? For instance, for winning a battle will you gain experience, get enhancements, new temporary powers, or maybe a trophy?
