  6. And not shriek and wave your hands when people dont want to play by your made up rules. That isn't meant to be a dig, cause I know merc isn't that way, but a lot of bad press comes from others doing so.

    Web env seems like it wouldn't do a lot under those conditions?

    Tanks don't get it inheirently like the other sets. Ice, Shield and Stone dont get any DR added to their powers. Ice got some psi def added to glacial. Shield got 'real' psi dr added to the melee toggle.

    With 3 slots you can go up to ~35% mez res.
    Should be able to pop a lot more than 1 or 2 greens in 3 seconds.

    However, if you are CM'd, it isn't going to knock 3 seconds off, so yeah.

    Im not really sure what you are asking, but DR just looks at the total of every attribute, it doesnt care where it came from.

    It takes the total, then applies a formula that compresses your total harder, the larger the total is.

    My corr has ~40 base psi dr. Turning on dark embrace is another 31%, world of pain is 14%. Popping an orange is +10%.

    What I actually get in zone/arena looks like this:
    base: ~30% total
    + embrace: 41% total
    + WoP: 43%
    + orange: ~45%

    Numbers arent exactly right, but that is roughly the progression.
    I could turn them on/pop them in any order and it wouldn't matter. I'd still wind up with the same total because the formula that calculates your DR amount only looks at the total you have from all sources before calculating what you will actually have in zone.

    Teaming for the content in the Hollows, Faultline, Croatoa, Striga and the rikti war zone will get you leveled pretty quick. Also do the ITF a bunch after 35. Look up the accolade requirements for those that give you a power. Do the big 7 TF's. Team for radio missions. Don't try and set the difficulty way up high.

    Look at the market, crafted and uncrafted for items you get and check the prices.

    Post builds you are going to do into the appropriate AT board, ,ask for help if you don't know where to start. Feedback will be infinitely more valuable than reading something out of date. You can't make a power set combo that will be unable to play the game, sure there are things better than others. Look at what people are saying about certain combos.

    Sell your enhancements at the appropriate origin store. (hard to keep a straight face saying this any more).



    And as an edit, you could be worse off following an outdated guide than you would be just playing the game blindly. No longer are spawn super xp.
  13. Two seconds would be worth some small sacrifice imo. Its a lot of time to hork down greens if you get spiked.

    That said, after 3 seconds whatever has probably already happened vs a well organized group.

  21. I have an AR/EM from before pvp existed I play once in a while for amusement. There isn't much point in doing anything but spamming burst/slug unless you come up against an mm, imo. Under i13 rules you can put out enough damage to eventually kill someone, but it will take a while and they have plenty of time to react.

    Cold would probably work the best with it since you can sorta keep them around longer as well as stuff their regen and heal rate. Yes, regen rate matters somewhat with AR. I'd slot procs, damage and hold and get some range in burst/slug.

    Its not going to be great though, and like I believe mez said, it will be quite an investment.
