Pumbungler?
To be honest, I can't remember seeing that global recently if ever, but I'm not 'hooked up' like some of the people here. If you haven't gotten a reply to a global tell it's not a good sign :P -

Quote:Join channels "Justice United" and "JFA2010" and you'll get to know Justice in so many more ways than you envisioned. Not yet. I am SO indecisive. I sent a tell to the global who owns "Devil's mark". In the meantime i started a scrapper to goof around and get to know Justice. She's 13 now.

Quote:Except purple and PvP IO set bonuses. You don't keep any set bonuses that you exemplar more than three levels below.
With all level 25 IOs, you lose your set bonuses if you exemplar to 21.
Also, enhancement values begin to scale down depending on your current level and the level you exemplar to. See details here. -
Quote:Even then, you can't necessarily confirm population increases or declines unless you are comparing them year over year. For example, holidays like the winter break and when school summer vacation cannot be compared unless you are trending over multiple years.Actually the BEST Sapling method would be to take multiple samples each day at the same times for about 6 weeks running.
Try one in the morning, one just after noon, one during Primetime, and one after primetime. For every server, every day.
Unfortunately if you do that over the course of six weeks you'll actually only see the slightest amount of change (if any) since the game is billed once every four weeks. So I suppose it'd take months... Perhaps a 90day scheme? Or 180days?
One would not be remiss to suggest that samples be taken every day for a solid year...

lol @ GM_Lloyd's search comment.
Best way to show d000m is by grabbing numbers from this thread.
Advertising and marketing suggestions probably best viewed here. -
Hint:
Sometimes you get lucky by taking the url and putting it into google and then clicking the cached link. -

Quote:0.1% of the time. Most of the time my friends are forming TFs or I am. There might be some downtime in which someone will ask me to join a PuG, if they are polite sounding I'll tag along. In an average gaming week:
1) How often do you PuG instead of grouping within your SG or friends?
Quote:2) How often do you group with friends and fill the rest of the group with PuGs?
Quote:3) How often do your PuG members do what you feel needs to be done without being told to do so?
Quote:4) How often do you find yourself telling PuG members what you feel they should be doing (for the good of the current team/session)?
Quote:5) How often do you find yourself adding PuG members to your friends/global friends, and if those lists are full, using other methods of remembering them?
Often enough that I don't PuG much anymore, just kidding. Maybe 1 in 50 will have a bad attitude but most of them are fine folk.
I just don't PuG that much anymore because I've been spoiled by my friends who've known all the stupid things I do to try and wipe the team and can still handle the over aggro and herding and rushed TFs. Most PuGs I'm either too bored or wiping the team and I'm too lazy and jaded to get them up to speed nowadays. -
Quote:tl;dr.Dude plays off and on (mostly off lately). I first met him with he set up a Positron TF (the old one) and proceeded to go afk... for an hour. We considered just disbanding the whole thing, but then we would have lost everything, so we just continued on. He showed up during the mish before the last one, all apologies.
A day or two later, I see him on a sewer run. I make an offhand comment about how running through sewers is a sure way of contracting hepatitis. Suddenly, he just goes OFF. He starts raging at me. Calling me all sorts of names because his beloved brother is dying of hepatitis and I was an insensitive jerk for joking about it. I apologized profusely, but he wasn't having any.
A few months go by, and I haven't seen him, but I was honestly feeling a tiny bit bad about dredging up someone's pain with my offhand stabs at humor. Then, I see him on a TF and ask him in tells how goes things with his brother? He replies, "What brother?"
I say, "The brother with hepatitis."
"Oh, him. I haven't talked to him in years. He's okay. How do you know about that?"
I waited a long time before I said, "Nevermind."
I've seen him around every now and then and I know I'm not the only one who finds him supremely annoying. He's a prime example of how the anonymous nature of online communities brings out the torrid in all of us.
I neg repped you for having a broken avatar link. -
Try sending a global tell to the other person. If they are still subbed you might get a reply.
/getglobalname The Devil's Mark
And welcome to Justice! -

Has happened to me for a while now. Alt tabbing will make CoH forget which key is down, and tapping the key will refresh the state. Never has gotten stuck while the game is in the foreground only.
It gets stuck more frequently during zoning, but it can happen any time. The keys that get stuck for me most often are control and alt and the right mouse button. Sometimes shift as well. -
What is your secondary? If it is a set without a self heal, it might be viable, but the AoE sleep doesn't aggro, so most of the time you don't need healing then.
Usually the sleeps are a good place to chuck in some set bonuses like the purple sleep set. -
Quote:I think people are pressed to push the "next" button as fast as they can because their teammates cannot see all the text going on. If the entire team was able to read the mission summaries and contacts as the TF progressed at least their would be more of a coherent feel to things. However, as story arcs have shown us, you CAN'T condense a story indefinitely. Even if you have excellent writing, some stories just take longer to tell. Granted, a lot of hero-side arcs are padded with missions that accomplish nothing, but a lot actually aren't. The response to "story arcs are too long" can be seen in CoV, where stories are still long, but split between several arcs and several contacts. For instance, all four of a villain Ptron's story arcs put together aren't longer than Crimson's World Wide Red, but the story is still staggered.
Personally, I enjoy long story arcs more so than short ones because I enjoy the story more than the rewards, and if I were ever given the chance to play a TF for the story, I would choose a longer TF over a shorter one. Sadly, the only way to play ANYTHING for the story is to play it by yourself, and I can't start TFs alone, and probably wouldn't be able to finish them if I could.
As it stands, it's pretty much RTC or Call then click next, accept etc., because the entire team is waiting on you; they have nothing better to do since they cannot see what you are reading. Having a summary contact that summarized all the text and missions as it progresses (something like paragon wiki does here may work.
Quote:Jack has never struck me as a particularly perceptive man when it comes to the player base.
It has mutated and grown beyond his original concept, some for much better and some for worse.
This game has gotten progressively easier and faster to accomplish tasks than before, with all the attendant issues that go along with it. I'm not sure if that is necessarily a good thing, even if the changes are really well liked. Things like debt caps and xp smoothing and level 50 influence bumps have really changed the nature of the game.
Quote:Of course, I1 gave us the 40-50 game which Jack says he and Positron designed around being "epic" and taking as long as 1-40, so it made sense it would be epic forced content all the way, hence the "AV in every mission" difficulty. People like me complained a lot, so eventually somewhere around I7 or I8, AVs began scaling down into EBs under certain conditions. And that's when TFs took their final turn into what they are today - "solo" content would scale down, but TFs never would. -
I got one in French, then 2 more in French. Looks like you get one for every account that is registered, active or not. Definitely a market flub.

Quote:Interesting thought. I've never played another MMO (more than a month anyhow), so I've never considered what defines a Task Force.I dare say a lot more people would enjoy absurdly long TFs if they weren't team-locked. Of course, at this point that's simply not something which is likely to change, but the pressure to do it all in one sitting is what ruins the TF experience.
Well, that and having to do it with other people who've usually done it dozens of times and just want to get it over with, but that's besides the point.
Inviting new people to join is an interesting concept, but I guess you'd have to have a way to track how much they participate/contribute in order to get the necessary merits/badges. Of course you'd also have people gaming the system, just like the old log out and fight reduced mobs exploit, so I never really thought it would be/could be done much differently. -
Quote:Good point, hasn't bit me yet. Dynamically allocating bids can cause misclicks quite easily. Either the changed status should be highlighted and not moved (until a tab switch) or it should gracefully (ie. gradually) slide out.For just one example, clicking to remove a bid and removing a completely different bid because the bid I was trying to remove was suddenly filled, and everything moved up 1 position to fill the empty spot. Then I have to try and remember what bid it was that I just cancelled by accident.

Quote:I can't remember if you can target the tree or not for the villain respec but for sure you can't target the tree during the STF version. Many of the vines in front of the tree can be taken out by a ranged attacker from the side of the tree, out of line of sight of the AV, and the rest can be taken out by the meatshield, who would be the one taunting anyway.
No target, no taunt. I found that Phantom Army dancing in front of the tree works pretty good though. -
