  1. Pics or it didn't happen.

    Grats to the winners btw.
  2. I'd be more for devs reusing the different loot types that they've given us already, whether to revamp zones or to introduce new content.

Stuff like brainstorms, vanguard merits, tf merits, event salvage, tickets, base salvage, alignment merits all seem like add-ons that are disjointed, without rhyme or reason on how they should work together.

Soon we'll have stuff for alpha slotting to be grafted onto our existing game. Would be nice if they could make stuff hang together and not seem like another throwaway.
  3. If you mix it up a bit then you can use them for lowbee boosting as well, eg. health and endurance boosts, etc.

If you have some good friends, having them feed you stuff regularly is a good way to get by some tricky areas like master runs or debuffed settings (flashbacks etc), even while you're in the mission and they are off somewhere else (ie. not on your team).

stupid filters not letting use caps even for smilies
  5. Just email big def insps to yourself. You can stack another 20 insps that way for longer fights. I just put EoEs there but to each their own.
  6. Those Epson robots should measure the amount of pain every time someone buys a replacement ink cartridge.

    Time bomb

I would so take time bomb if they made it count down (big red text like a pvp counter) and blow everything up (massive damage) in the radius, including your pets, teammates, AVs and the planter.

    But that's just me.
  8. This thread delivers 110%.

The only thing it needs now are pirates, ninjas and maybe wee man.

    Oh wait.

    There we go.

    Welcome to the Mac subforum

Just a quick nit: MAC == acronym for Media Access Control address.
    Mac == short for Macintosh.

What information is divulged in an Apple System Profiler log:

Not that much different from Hijackthis information, but always be careful when sending information over the innerwebs.

+1 for using the correct number of Os in 'looser'.

Thanks. I would pos rep you but somehow that button has disappeared.

Don't think so but I'm not 100% certain.

Nope. Finished my base years ago and haven't made any changes to it since.

TwilightPhoenix, you really should update to 10.6 if you can. It is generally faster than 10.5 and it isn't that expensive for an upgrade. Unless you have software that isn't Snow Leopard compatible. As well, I'm not sure what graphics chipset your MacBook is running but if it is Intel based, you may be in the 'officially unsupported' category

Just to be clear, Crossfire is possible when you boot into Windows but there is no support for Crossfire when you boot into the MacOS.

The dual 5770s are there for more than 3 monitor support when you are booting into the MacOS (currently).

It's probably the inconsistency that is the issue. If they decided to throttle the speed at which you could spend reward merits and tickets, the resulting thunderous amount of complaints would have the devs taking the rate limiter off everything, so it would be same end result but a more tortuous route.

What was the 2 for 1 bonus you were referring to?

Its slow going but very do-able. When I am done using hero merits for the smaller stuff, I will start saving for purples. Meanwhile my millions stay OFF the market, and its working well so far.

Flooding the market with rares will only drive down the price. This is a thing I dont mind - far from it - but I dont know how long the gravy train is going to last for people intent on doing this.
What were you doing with reward merits?
  18. Would have been nice to extend the reactivation weekend for another day given the Canadian holiday.
  19. Haven't been crashing here on Mac or PC in a while. Looks like they plugged most of the memory leaks. For me, at least.

Ps: My husband says, the statement made by Ocho could be actually true, when one considers the reality of diminishing returns. For instance, if you have to make 100 sandwhiches, and have one person, it will take say 1000 minutes at 10 min a sandwhich to prepare, If you have 2, then it drops to 500 minutes, if you increase the staff to say 4 it will drop to 250 minutes. Then you think, lets hire 100 folks to make a sandwhich each, thus in 10 min we would have all 100 sandwhiches, right? Wrong! One must consider we have so many knives, so many jars of condiments, so much work space, so in reality all the cooks gets on each other's way, and we could very well take all 1000 minutes again to make the 100 sandwhiches. There is a point, where support resources can not provide for more workers. It is possible that CoH development had reached a diminished return situation and by letting a few employees go the actual efficinecy may have been greatly improved with a net positive effect.

I laughed at my husband, and said, I doubt that would be the case at CoH :<)
I once hired 9 women to make me a baby in a month.

    Anyone want 8 extra babies?

  22. AFAIK the Mac drivers are written (contracted) by nVidia (or AMD, depending on the vendor) for Apple, so it is Apple who must ask for the magic to happen.

Seeing as official non Apple video cards aren't that common, and that user upgradeable machines are limited to Mac Pros, the odds of SLI/Crossfire support being implemented are extremely remote.
