You're in luck- this game is easy. Trust me, despite all the MMO trappings, people can, do and enjoy playing this game while drunk.
If you can remember any particular technojargon you don't understand, tell us- we can tell you what it means. -

The entire inf, enhancements and salvage systems never really bothered to make the most tenuous amount of sense anyway.
I'm pretty sure the devs realised from the start that flavour text is just flavour text, and ran with it. -
So does this mean that Champions Online is the next big experiment to see if free-form power selection can work?

Quote:Throw in the Burger King and watch hilarity ensue.Hah! ^_^
That's a really imaginative idea! I also like the clever name.
I vaguely remember seeing a screenshot of a Ronald MacDonald and a Colonel Sanders standing next to each other in Atlas Park. Something like that could be fun too, though I can't imagine what powersets you would pick. ¬_¬
What would be their powersets? Sanders would be Fire/Fire for sure. -
I didn't know Americans had good root beer.
Spose they've gotta make up for their regular beer being terrible. You guys actually drink Foster's for chrissake! -

G'day Poms, Krauts, Frogs, LEGO men, matadors and Latverians!

Between the Patriot Act in Yanktown, Big Ben's Big Brother, the Great Firewall of Australia, Japan finally getting around to banning sexual predator simulators, and this mess, where are we supposed to go to celebrate free speech?
France? -
We use litres and kilometres, you backward Yanks.
Seriously, the Metric System uses 2nd-grade level maths, just add zeroes and it all makes sense. What's so hard about it? -
Yeah yeah, we're gonna kick your rain-soaked arses again, big deal.

For some reason the current IO sets are really stingy with Res bonuses, but make it real easy to softcap. I really don't see why, especially since there's no such thing as positional resistance.
-
Given that an Ice/Ice Blaster can pretty much break the whole thing, it might not be such a good idea.
-
The A.C.C.A.H.U.D sounds fun for that! Of course, the setting to turn it off wouldn't hurt.
Hopefully this wouldn't be too hard to implement, right now first-person mode might be more fun if it wasn't so jarring. -
And I thought everyone loved how there was so little street sweeping in this game.
Still a good idea, though. I like the idea of Security Chiefs giving repeatable street sweep missions, if only for a change of pace. -
If farmers like to run it, it's a farm.
Seems simple to me. -
You should see the tags for my latest devolved-into-AE-flamewar thread.

There are so many good games with great ideas that get ignored or forgotten. The entirely of X-COM for one.
Oh, and another annoying thing I noticed about Guild Wars: SO SLOOOOOOW
That and no real tutorial and the trial account doesn't even have the equivalent of Local chat. I had no way to communicate with other players beyond emotes. And interpretive dance is not my strong suit. -
Quote:...and it wouldn't be the first, or weirdest, Elvis impersonators I've seen in this game.I had no reason to create radically different looks for most of my characters, but for one newer character named Popeye Khan, the whole idea was that he'd look like different pop icons. I started with Michael Jackson and Elvis, and I have James Dean, but there's now a Marilyn Monroe look that naturally wasn't possible before the science booster. ^_^
Elvis doesn't count as an EULA violation, right? -
Quote:You need to team with more drunks. Some of us have to farm to get better at being villianous....
Some of us have few people skills,
Get kicked from teams for being rude (ie...east coast sense of humor)
And just want to play the game, so we are "forced" to don our overalls and farm ourselves, alone, or with the other "unwanted" players.
Don't worry, we won't bother you, just...sniff..sniff...stop bothering us! -
...the thread tags are hilarious.
And for the record, I don't report anything until it pisses me off. So they all deserve it. -
Quote:That really wouldn't be a good idea at all.If the reward is XP, and too much reward is advancing to fast..why not just implement a further control, a minimum time per level: You can still gain XP, but you have to do at least X amount of time on line before you are allowed to advance. If the Dev's realy worry is about people levelling too fast, maybe they should take a look at their XP system as being the problem instead of trying to fight a losing battle against human nature.
They can't make any hard and fast rules, because either they'll have to be so draconian as to ruin the game, or exploiters will do anything they can to subvert and find loopholes in the rules to be anything short of breaking them. (not mutually exclusive either)
The devs can't afford to have GMs monitoring the whole game 24/7, they rely on player support to enforce codes of conduct and the rules in the EULA, including stopping people from making racist rants in Broadcast, getting rid of griefers, not letting DC comics have a turn at suing them, fighting gold farmers and reporting exploits. 'Snitches' like me are the only thing stopping you people from being inundated with spam tells, locked out of the market by unobtainable prices, getting called very nasty names and continuing to play a game where the devs' budget isn't going towards legal fees. -
Professor Backfire didn't actually benefit that much from the Science pack. The rubber boots and gloves were great, but the science jacket just looks too impersonal and big.
I ended up giving him the Baron costume set... with the skull-styled goggles and gas mask.
Haven't had any good ideas for the body type or height changes either.
