If Thunderstruck isn't in there somewhere, I for one will be very sad.

    Also this.
  2. Thanks for that link, Frosticus.

I dub that trailer to be damn good. Looking forward to this.
  3. What, you think the forums are just for us? Let's see what the other players in City of are talking about. Hey, they're free to view, if anyone else sees some interesting topics feel free to add them.

Let's start with the Civilian section.

Yeah, pretty much this. I am kinda curious now that you mention it.

Honestly I can't see someone saying much about me though. I tend to fly under the radar.
  5. I thought it was too, but noooo.

Well, I did get "EXPAT" out of it for 3650, but still.

  6. Whaddaya mean it's not valid! Come on! Two gold tiles in there too. So frustrated right now....

0 and 0 here. I've gotten about 20 ever. Most of those were received when I was talking about upgrading my PC earlier this year. Others were just one-off questions or thanks or something of that nature, or responses. I delete everything, when I want to keep something I paste it into a text file and keep it on the computer where I'd have access to it without having an account.

I've had one PM from a red name ever. Cricket told me an avatar I was using wasn't appropriate. Otherwise I can't imagine why I'd get anything, when I make a naughty thread or post it just disappears.
  8. All my characters are set to "Looking for any" pretty much all the time when I'm playing. I only flag to not accept invites when I'm doing something that's timed, then I change it back to white. Also all my characters have the same thing in the field: Primary/Secondary and "I don't do AE".
  9. I never hide. I enjoy PUGs, meeting new people. I generally am not interested in TFs or SFs, but everything else is fair game, and if they're recruiting for the former it's easy enough to say "Nah, thanks though, good luck."

I do not get spammed with blind invites or rude tells. I've been harassed precisely once ever, and it was long long ago. This is a good community. There's no reason for me to hide, and if there WAS reason I'd stay visible to rub it in their faces.

Except some of the language is quite... coarse.
That was entertaining and I thank you for providing the link.

The name sounds fine to me. Personally I'd want Fusionette for my red name, but that's just me and I bet it's already taken.

    And Judgement Dave:

Yep. Some of us caught it on Nickelodeon back in the day.

The restraining order mentions that "girlfriend" word a couple of times. I figured it was fancy legal jargon.
  12. Primal

    GR Release Date

One of the benefits of having absolutely no life is that I have a wide open schedule. Whenever it is released is fine with me.
  13. Sam, considering that you KNOW about the crazily off height scale in this game, purposely setting out to make a character taller and bigger than most seems rather self-defeating. You'll pretty much have to stay right under the 8' mark, and I'm not sure she'll ever look quite right to you, especially if you start comparing.

My Muscular Buxom Warrior Woman from Another World is approximately 6'8", and she looks hulky and menacing enough to me. Then again I wasn't going for "tall" as much as "strong", and at that look I believe I've succeeded.
  14. Poor synergy? Well, they might work really well together in truth, but I'm honestly curious how many TA/AR Defenders there are out there. I am Redraw Rambo! I recall at one point it said that TA/Elec was the least-used combo in the game, another possibility?

Mind/Storm 'trollers are fun, but mine certainly does require some thought, no button-mashers need apply. Actually I'd think you need to exercise some care with Storm no matter what it's paired with, you can help your enemies more than your team.
  15. Dark/Shield, or Shield/Dark, is a hella fast and powerful combo. Siphon Life is a flat-out addictive attack, it does excellent damage, animates fast, looks very cool, and oh yeah, that heal helps a lot. It's the combo for a VERY aggressive "jump into the middle of the whole pack" playstyle, and what one set is weak in the other helps make up for. Nice End refill, for example, Shield users will need that.

Fire/Storm 'trollers are really powerful, although they do start off slow. /Rad and /Kin get all the praise, but give /Storm a chance. Your AoE immob in Fire allows you to drop a Tornado on your enemies, much to their dismay, and Fire is already huge on damage by itself. Plus with this combo, if you need to keep enemies somewhere (like a corner), or away from something (like destructibles or squishies), both sets have powers for it.

Rad/Dark Defenders and Dark/Rad Corruptors are fantastic debuffers. You can switch the sets around too and it'll be no less true.

Sonic/Energy for Blapping. Put things to sleep, pound the crap out of them. (This one's hearsay, but I've never heard anyone doubt it.)

    Cute Newbies

I'm guessing RPer. I've done similar myself at times, as have others.

Well, okay, if he was RPing, he was really really into it if he was asking other players for help IC too. When you seemed to not be playing along, I would've expected something like "((Sorry, RPing, don't mean to bother you.))"
  17. Alternatively, there are people like me who prefer the weapons that scale down. That giant Legacy sword might work for much-taller females, but on my 5'6" character it simply looks ridiculous. I have a 6'5" warrior woman, but she wields an axe and honestly I don't recall whether the Legacy version is equally as outsized, I do know I chose another one solely because it could be recolored.

I set my characters' heights as if they were people from this world, I'm not really going for "looms over everyone and is larger than life" for any character. I do have a character with a Beast form, a 7' Huge werewolf as opposed to her 5'5" petite normal self, but that character's not looking to tower over all either, there's simply supposed to be a marked difference in forms. Honestly even at 7' it feels kinda cramped in some areas, on caves for instance I keep the human form, but ya know, in real life something that big and bulky would be cramped too.

Well, whatever, if enough people feel the height weirdness is a problem that needs fixing, and the devs agree, who am I. Concept matters, I dig ya. I do like the forced-perspective explanation though, that's quite interesting and something I'd not considered before.
  18. I was already planning on buying the pack, the new tail sweetens the deal all the further, the blades even more so. I too would like more weapons to get the treatment, and it is quite possible that'll still occur, but if it doesn't it's still a good purchase.

I couldn't care any less that the pack isn't all that Mutant-y. Whatever that means. I saw some good stuff in it, so it's worth my money.
  19. I'm also a Mountain Dew fan, but that, Dr Pepper, and good ol' Coca-Cola are just anytime drinks. When I really need a boost though, I get a Mountain Dew Voltage. Raspberry and (especially) ginseng are my friends. Five-Hour Energy does the job too, but it's hella more expensive.

    If we're sharing recipes:

    Quote:
    Peanut Butter-Chocolate Brownie Pie

    1 (8-inch) chocolate crumb crust
    1/2 cup NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Baking Cocoa
    1/2 cup all-purpose flour
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    2 large eggs
1 1/4 teaspoons vanilla extract, divided use
    1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter or margarine
1 2/3 cups (11-ounces) NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Peanut Butter & Milk Chocolate Morsels, divided use
    2/3 cup heavy whipping cream
    Vanilla ice cream for accompaniment

    1. Preheat oven to 350° F.
    2. Combine cocoa, flour and salt in small bowl. Beat eggs and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract in small mixer bowl; blend in sugar and butter. Add cocoa mixture; blend well. Stir in 3/4 cup morsels. Place crust on baking sheet; pour batter into crust.
    3. Bake for 45 minutes or until set. Cool on wire rack.
    4. Combine remaining morsels, cream and remaining vanilla extract in small, microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on MEDIUM-HIGH (70%) power for 1 1/2 minutes; stir. Microwave at additional 10 to 20-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
    5. Cut pie into wedges; top with ice cream. Spoon sauce over ice cream.
And, in the interest of fairness:

    Quote:
    Queen Ann Cake

    1 box chocolate cake mix
1 small box instant vanilla pudding
    1 cup vegetable oil
    3 eggs
    1 1/4 cup milk
[Honestly, just make a chocolate cake however you like, the frosting is the important part.]

    FROSTING:

    8 oz cream cheese, softened
    1 cup powdered sugar
    1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup nuts, chopped (I leave them out) [Primal does too]
    12 oz Cool Whip
5 Hershey bars, shaved [Primal uses a cheese grater on refrigerated bars]

Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour three round cake pans. Sift cake and pudding mixes together. In another bowl, beat oil, eggs and milk. Add to dry mixture and beat well. Bake for 20-25 min. or until done.

To make frosting, beat together cream cheese and sugars until very creamy. Fold in Hershey Bar pieces and nuts. Frost when cake is completely cooled.
It's a chocolate and cream cheese kick to the face. Unlike some cakes, this is actually much much better if it's very cold, imo.
  20. I dig all of those. Oddly enough, though she's not a mutant, they'd fit my namesake character quite well, to show her alternate persona (twin sister actually) taking over.

I have all of...hmm, three? Mutant-origin characters, yet the costumes and emotes can be integrated into the other 35+ too. I'm happy with it.

Or, I like the new outfit.

Um, I'm glad the new arm was accepted?

    Grats on getting that mistrial...?

Just wanted to post in another epic thread, nothing to see here.
  23. Either fight ever-bigger and -badder stuff and be a real hero, or you're pathetic and weak and second-string? You seem to be a little more into the RP aspect of this than you care to admit there Frosticus.
